Chicken Alfredo Pizza
Rachel C.

This was a recommendation from a local conch and boy we are sooo happy we listened to her advice! A late evening running around all day, had us ordering pizza and salad to take back to the hotel. A Spinach Gorgonzola Salad was bursting with flavors. Garlic knots were the old fashioned perfect app We had one pizza ALL THE WAY. Yum!! And one that was Chicken Alfredo. Good. Excuse my photos, I had to fight hungry children to sneak in some pics

Baked Ziti with added chicken, side salad and garlic knots

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I'm visiting from out of town and found this Pizzeria that delivers close to our hotel via Yelp. There was a big selection to choose from on the menu, definitely something for everyone. We used their online order link for baked ziti with added chicken, side salad and Margherita pizza. Was able to pay & tip online. It gave a 45 min estimate for delivery time which I thought was reasonable. Imagine my surprise when 20 minutes later I received a call that our driver was in the hotel lobby with our order. Everything was delicious and both the pizza & baked ziti were still as hot as if they just came out of the oven. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant!

This place has much to recommend it. I actually like the fact that it's in new town. After a week in Old Town I welcomed the quieter atmosphere. The food is delicious and the portions are massive. It advertises as "the place where locals eat" and I can see why. That being said they are a bit on the pricey side considering there is no table service. Still a place I would go back to for a decent pizza meal.

Stuffed john's pizza well done and l cannot believe how wonderful it is!! If you come to Key west and don't order from John's ???

Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. I ordered with a lovely blonde girl working…read morethe meat slicer. At first she apologized and said she would be right with me (I assured her there was no need to apologize as she was working so hard)! When I ordered with her I asked for the gluten free bread option and she asked if I needed for her to change her gloves. She also explained to me how they don't do the "mini" size in gluten free, the smallest they do with gluten free bread is the regular so that was fine for me. My interaction with her alone really meant so much to me! I really appreciated her attention to my gluten sensitivity. At this point I thought wow, this place deserves five stars. But then I had two more stops down the line. My next stop was the girl who was putting the toppings in the sandwich. She and the man in the back who was putting together a kids meal decided it would be a good time to throw lettuce at each other. Personally, I worked at a restaurant when I was young. I get it. But not in front of customers. Don't throw lettuce into each others stations while there's people around. It was really unprofessional and unsanitary (they were throwing the same lettuce at each other). I will say the boy started it, but it didn't help the girl did it back at him. Anyways after that I had to deal with the cashier who I can only hope was on his first shift. It was difficult for him to understand the sandwich I got, as he was pressing so many different buttons. But at least he went back and asked the girl like three times what kind of sandwich it was before changing it to the right order. Thankfully I was able to see the screen/ which order I ended up paying for. Overall, sandwich was good, stacked with stuff. But they need to do better with training their employees. I wish I got the name of the girl working the meat slicer because she was the only one who had it together!

The quest for the best key lime pie in Key West began over dinner on Monday night, when I mentioned wanting to check out Kermit's on my friend recommendation, lamenting that I never got to enjoy a truly good key lime pie during my first and last visit in 2020. The one I had then was... not good. (I now know the dead giveaway is that it was green). What followed has become a pursuit of principle: truly a noble quest I can get behind. Fast-forward 3 days, and here's our verdict so far, with one contender still to come. Tomorrow night we're headed to Red Shoe Island Bistro for dinner at the insistence of a local who claims it blows Kermit's cheesecake out of the water: 1. Kermit's - The benchmark. Bright, tart, light, and perfectly balanced. 2. Hurricane Hole - Good, but missing the extra punch of tartness that puts Kermit's over the top. 3. El Siboney - Solid, but denser and more cheesecake-like, but also lacking the light, airy tartness of Kermit's. 4. Key Lime Pie Bakery - Forgettable in a town where memorable matters. 5. Matt's Stock Island Kitchen - Overly sweet with virtually no lime (or even lemon) presence. Our slice came boxed with whipped cream and... cherry sauce?! If you'd called it birthday cake, I'd have found that a more accurate description. Might as well call it Diabetes On a Plate. Tomorrow morning, a plan was proposed (that I seconded): we'll stop by Kermit's to grab two slices to go and stash them in the fridge, specifically to revisit after dinner at Red Shoe Bistro as a point of reference. If Red Shoe's pie ends up being too close to call, we'll have no choice but to bring a slice home and do a true, side-by-side comparison in real time. And in the interest of not ending the trip on a sour note if tomorrow night disappoints, at least we'll be leaving Key West on Friday morning with Kermit's key lime pie as our final bite.

In fact while we were eating dinner a couple guys got back from their fishing trip with a gigantic grouper they just caught. There is a small kids play area that looked a little sketchy. It was 7 of us having dinner and we all left satisfied which is hard to do especially with 2 kids along. Both kids got the Mac & Cheese and they loved every bite. My mother got the lobster roll and said it was fantastic. I tried the fresh catch of the day sandwich with a side of rice and black beans. Both were phenomenal. Everyone else got burgers and fries. All 3 people said the same thing, the fries didn't taste fresh. Our server was amazing, he kept checking on us and he was the one to tell us about the guys coming back with that large fish so the kids could go check it out. If we were locals I would definitely come back.

It's a very spot, with just enough standing room for a few people inside and a couple of high-top tables outside to enjoy your pizza. It's located a few storefronts down from Duval Street, and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, so it was definitely busy, but not overwhelming. I still received my pizza in about 10 minutes, which I appreciated. We ordered a large pizza, half Philly cheesesteak and half chicken. The Philly cheesesteak pizza is actually the one that's been the most hyped on TikTok, so I was especially excited to try it. I originally wanted to just grab a slice, but they only offer cheese and pepperoni by the slice, so keep that in mind. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and looked really good. However, the taste didn't quite match the hype for me. The steak and chicken both lacked seasoning, which made the overall flavor fall a bit flat. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely could have been much better with a little more seasoning. Overall, it's a decent late night bite, but in my opinion, not quite worth all the hype it gets on TikTok.
