The Club Sandwich
Eric C.

I, Eric Cartman, a proud yelp reviewer would love to say this place passes my expectations and service beyond. The food was wonderful and amazingly cut. 10/10 I would recommend !

The last BLT I ordered - the bacon was more burnt than this photo shows

I always love to support a local, small business, and this deli is run by a lovely family that makes the best BLT sandwich I've ever had, that is, when they don't burn it. And sad to say, based on the numerous times I've been there, my sandwich (the bread or bacon or both) comes out burnt 60% of the time. The last time I ordered a sandwich, I was disappointed and disgusted to find all of the bacon badly burnt, and I had to throw the sandwich out. I'm not sure how this is acceptable, but unfortunately, I won't be returning anytime soon.

ONE OF THE BEST SANDWICHES IVE HAD. If you ever visit Pacifica this is definitely a sandwich spot to try. The owner Ray is an awesome dude who I had a great conversation with. Great service and sandwiches

Eggplant Delight Sandwich and onion rings

A no frills sandwich shop/deli. The menu is still p much the same as these pictures here from 3 years ago, even the prices posted on the board are the same as 3 years ago but beware that's not the prices that are charged. I mean clearly if the prices from the board were still the rates they were using they wouldn't be afloat but it would be less misleading to put the actual price up there. I got the eggplant delight sandwich and onion rings (see picture) which totaled to $14.

Potato salad

So good. Was in town and looking for a good sandwich and of course my fellow yelpers did not disappoint. This place has a vast menu even for a non meat eater like myself. The veggie Philly was so good and potato salad was too. Great service, plenty of parking, priced well for quantity and quality. Would definitely recommend. I'll be back when I'm back in town.

The place was packed, and without a reservation, it would have been nearly impossible to dine there. The restaurant has the classic feel of a traditional American-style steakhouse. The atmosphere was pleasant, although it was so crowded that it was difficult to appreciate many of the finer details of the interior. The staff were exceptionally patient and friendly, taking the time to explain the menu and offer their recommendations. For my meal, I ordered the ribeye steak and the seafood pasta. In my opinion, the steak was a bit overpriced for what it offered. The flavor was decent, but overall it felt expensive. I ordered it rare, yet the surface of the steak was surprisingly tough. The seafood pasta was fairly good and came with a generous amount of seafood, making it feel like a good value. However, I had expected a lighter flavor profile, and it turned out to be much creamier and richer than I anticipated. Overall, I would rate the food an 8/10. The restaurant only serves its famous Prime Rib after 2:30 PM each day. I've heard it's their signature dish, but unfortunately, we arrived too early and didn't get a chance to try it. All things considered, it's a solid restaurant. If you've never been before, it's worth visiting at least once to experience the atmosphere and see what makes it so popular.

It's nice at night with some of the fire places on and dim lighting. We thoroughly enjoyed their calamari which was freshly crisp, excellent bread coating, and large pieces. It makes the perfect starter choice. I liked my carbonara but I was hoping it'd taste like more of that authentic version with egg yolk, parmigiano reggiano, pecorino Romano and plain black pepper. The sliced pork was pretty good in this dish but I would've enjoyed guanciale more. This particular carbonara dish slightly tasted like Cheesecake Factory which was a slight bummer but nonetheless, it still tasted good! Also, we loved their Caesar salad; they top it with anchovies and the dressing is thoroughly mixed with the lettuce. It's delicious! For dessert, we had coffee with their ice cream sundae. My son loved the ice cream and whip cream. This is a great choice for kids but I think next time, I want to try their highly popular butter cake. This location is so far my favorite compared to the downtown San Jose location. We'll be back again for more!

Used to serve anything that's both American and Italian, until Vanessa had made it into a family run small business restaurant which was absolutely welcoming for both locals and tourists alike since 2004. It's the only reason I come to 7 Mile House during Asian History Month that aims for Filipino fun. My specialty drink: Ube Colada (non-alcoholic). I want to try the Lambanóg, but it's few years late and I wouldn't mind since I prefer any drink that's zero proof. This creamy purple smoothie is so refreshing, I wouldn't mind getting a brain freeze. Main course? Actually, I take something out of the lunch menu, which is Beyond Burger; pickles at the top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese; old school American style with a plant based patty! I eat the fries first since they're fresh and chewy. Wish I stick around for an appetizer or a salad; but given that there's several people dining indoors while few of us outdoors, I'll have to pass. Before I walk a couple of blocks toward 7 Mile House, I noticed the gas prices for both gas stations are just as high as near my neighborhood. I'll be wondering how long will a famous family run restaurant can go an extra mile before it runs out of steam. My best bet is that we must support each other as local communities, just like how the 7 Mile House of today had kept us together for generations.

We went around 5pm for dinner…read moreright before the event and it was a very lively atmosphere - both the Knicks championship game and FIFA World Cup were playing in alternating TV screens so it was crazy. We got the espresso martini flight, beef and chicken lumpia, and sizzling pork adobo. The espresso martini flight was pretty good - I never would've thought to try different variations like ube churro, salted peanut butter, and banana pandan - a small deviation from the classic, but it boasts wonderful fusion flavors. The lumpia was good but they mixed it so it's a gamble if you got chicken or pork, and I wish they separated it out so we all get an equal share of each. The sizzling pork adobo is good but could be better. The rice is a bit overcooked. Service is very slow - it's fine given all the sports playing, but it is quite inefficient. Definitely plan a lot of time here, and a very long waitlist if you don't make a reservation.

From our server's recommendations, we ended up getting the Lapu Lapu, Mochiko Chicken Loco Moco, Kamehameha BBQ Chicken, Sisig Fried Rice, and Poke Nachos, Ubemisu, and Ube Bars. The Lapu Lapu is a sweet and refreshing drink, definitely something you will like if you want something sweet instead of strong. The Mochiko Chicken Loco Moco was really good. You get the taste of Beef Loco Moco in chicken form. The Chicken also added more of a crunchy texture from the crispy skin while having very moist meat. The Kamehameha BBQ Chicken was also tasty, with the moist meat. The Sisig Fried Rice was really good, being moist and had plenty of Sisig. The Poke Nachos had a decent amount of Poke and Avacado, and had a nice crunch with the Wanton Chips. The Ubemisu was a crowd favorite. I thought it was not going to taste like Ube because of the light color of the Cream, but I was glad to be wrong. It was very moist and thankfully had good Ube flavor. The Ube Bars were not bad. Also, could taste the Ube, but was more dense and just found the Ubemisu better. Overall, great food and service. Definitely would come back here again to try more delicious treats.

The greeters were pleasant, with seating also instant, with some view of the Pacific Ocean. We were a party of three (my wife, her cousin, and I). We all ordered the open-faced crab sandwich with clam chowder. All items were totally on point (well prepared, delicious, and on point). The oysters on the half shell were tasty too. No cocktails; we opted for soft drinks. The service was attentive, and we lacked for nothing. My only observation was the bill came to over $320 with tip for three sandwiches (I have eaten at higher-end places many times, but fine dining has gotten a bit pricey). With rights to stroll on the beach after the meal if you wish, part of what you get is the experience. Still, I recommend Nick's for a very special meal with folks you care about. We waked into a large dark wood ala refurbished 1970s interior restaurant with plenty of half circle booths, large tables for groups and bar and dace floor that seems to be available for live music. We came on what looked like and felt like a locals regular night full of families and well dressed seniors. I hate being seated by a busser station or kitchen listening to the noise or the staff thinking they can talk crap about customers because they are stacking dishes or running a credit card but that is exactly what happened. Being hangery (hungry-angry) makes us change our dining standards. This being said we had to listen to the young staff's complaining. My partner ordered and received a large seafood salad and I ordered fish and chips. My food tasted like a large refrigerator Orida fish patty that was fried and large slices of potatoes that came out of the same oil. Being from the San Francisco bay area I compare all my sea food to that and have to say that I was greatly disappointed with the lack of taste even though I see that it was "handmade beer batter" dish. Unfortunately, I dont have too many positive things to say about this place except it is a good place to cure hugry.

Still, the overall flavor profile was satisfying and meat super juicy. I paired it with garlic fries, and let me tell you, they are NO JOKE. Super garlic and salty with tons of flavor. Both items came packaged in compostable wrap, which I appreciated BUT there wasn't a compost bin nearby that I could see. The only downside? The garlic was almost too overwhelming.
