Not exactly my favorite place to test out my luck and skills because I feel like the mechanical claws are technically much more looser compared to Partea, Up One & Teso X added up altogether. Selection wise is only decently okay depending on what you like. And like I've mentioned, space is more on the cramped side. Luckily, I'm still able to get 3 mini plushies....despite some difficulty. $1 = 1 token + you need to put in 2 tokens ($2) per turn for mini claw machines while 3 tokens ($3) for regular sized claw machines. Only downside: Sorry, buddy! You're all on your own. No staff physically working at the spot so you won't be able to ask anyone to reposition/rearrange the plushies for a higher chance of winning. Probably won't ever go back again. It's too difficult to claw anything imo if plushies can't be rearranged when they get pushed to the side or towards the corners as the claw can't reach certain areas inside the claw machines. It was $46 pre tax for one adult and one child. It was alright for me though since it was my first time experiencing Gaming City. To my surprise the price was pretty worth it for all the arcade and games they have. There were games like table hockey, shooting hoops, hockey, VR simulation and interaction, racing games with a simulated motorcycle and race car. I did not expect it to have so many different types of games with DDR and a dancing grid. It just sucked that you cannot finish everything in one hour. We were given a watch to time the whole stay that we paid for. They shined red when the time was up. After the arcade play, we were given each 3 tokens for the claw machines. There were big machines that required 2 tokens and the small one only needed 1 token. The claw machines were so difficult to play. The claws were really sensitive and moved a lot. My friends and I did not even win anything. Sucks. The whole gaming city was really clean and dark. It smelled really clean and the noise level was appropriate. There were bathrooms in the middle of the whole place that were really clean. This place is a must go place for anyone who loves arcade and VR. They have it here in one location, which is right off the train station.

(See my photos for exact price lists/options). We purchases a pkg for 3 ppl for 1 Hr, so it came out to $23.33 per person. (Individual price would have been $32pp). You're given a bracelet to wear. Once your time slot is up, your bracelet will turn red, letting you know your time has expired. This arcade is different from other arcades since it's unlimited play for the specific time period you purchase. The only exception are the multiple Claw Machines at the front of the store: these machines require tokens. Note that at the end of your time slot, each person will receive 3 free tokens to use on these Claw Machines; but there are very slim chances of actually winning something. Also, the Claw Machines require 2 tokens! My niece had 9 tokens and won Nothing!! All-in-all, they had some fun games. There are even 2 VR games. But be warned: if you get motion sickness easily, do NOT do the VR games! lol I was really disappointed that they didn't have Skee-Ball games, which is my fave arcade game. But we had fun exploring all their other games. Customer service (except for the below issue) was terrific. All personnel were very friendly and helpful. They really looked out for everyone on the game floor, ready to help if you didn't understand the games/instructions. There are lockers, restrooms and beverage vending machines. Everything was super clean. Note that the VR machines are sanitized in between players, which I really appreciated. So why 4 Stars and not 5 Stars? Because we had to sign waivers ahead of time, and we were told to show up 15 min BEFORE our time slot, to make sure we check-in Before our time slot starts. Sounds fair, right? Well, we showed up 15 min early, as instructed, only to find out that they are closed! Our time slot was 2pm, and they actually opened at 2pm....so why tell us to show up at 1:45pm on a hot humid day, and make us stand out in the sun for 15 sweaty minutes?!?! Grrrrr....so incredibly annoying!! So just a heads up: if you're going to their first time-slot of the day, do NOT show up 15 min early!!

We subsequently spotting him masturbating behind a sign outside, presumably to the footage he shot of us. The staff seemed to just standby while this guy videotaped us on their premises for masturbation material. My girlfriend has refused to come back ever since. Before this, when I went to get a powercard for 2 seconds, a swarm of nerds was harassing my girlfriend asking her weird questions like if she comes there often or wants to play Time Crisis sometime. It's rare an otherwise awesome place can suck because the client base is weird AF, but congrats, you've done it.

The Giant mouse trap is back this year and is always fun to watch. There are plenty to see and lot of freebies! The event is wonderful for kids and adults too. Can't wait for next year! Tip: parking is a big problem so go early or take public transportation; but is not so easy. You can walk from the 7-train 111th St. Station which is long or take buses to 108th St. (Q58 and Q23) and walk just one block. They need a shuttle. Food is expensive and just average but not as expensive as a baseball game; AND YOU MAY LEARN SOMETHING! They do have free bike parking, So ride your bike if you can! I recommend visiting Sunday because it is less crowded.

So I assumed I would be standing by the sidelines while my friends geeked out in a way I felt I couldn't. This was so not the case. There is something for everyone at Maker Faire. I was amazed at the go kart races, soldered for the first time making a blinking lights button (Still can't believe I made that! Me!), assembled a marshmallow shooter, went to a panel about movie prop making, saw the World's Largest 3D printer, make a fan out of popsicle sticks and a battery, and saw the coolest show ever involving a ton of Coke and Mentos (EepyBird) that blew my mind. I did a lot of other fun stuff, but those were the highlights. The entire event is huge, so prepare to do a lot of walking. There are food trucks and seating in some spots, but you have to walk around a bit to find it. But what I think Make Faire does best is inspire. It's inspired me to learn and build beyond my comfort zone. And I think anyone who goes will walk away with the same feeling.

I also liked the furniture and decor of the museum. I was also able to learn a lot about the history of the neighborhood and about the family that lived there who were German immigrants. I was able to learn how Flushing and the neighborhood that the house was in was apart of Long Island, before it came to be apart of Queens. The tour guide was really friendly and informative, and the tour of the house was around 45 minutes. The tour takes us through the rooms and ends with the backyard which has the garden, bird sanctuary, and little fish pond! I definitely recommend visiting this amazing museum, it's so pretty and filled with interesting history and facts about Queens. I also like how this house was about a middle class family. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Main Street and open Wednesdays and Sundays from 1-4. The tickets for this are also suggested donation, so you can donate however much you like!
