Great service , great movers! I was moving from New York to Florida. The movers were efficient and very polite , they came on time .All mu furniture was well protected and came in one piece.Other companies were offering me the move trailers, but landlord in Florida said that trailers can not go into complex and only 24 footer can and Up n Go was able to accommodate my request and they sent the regular truck! Will be definitely recommending to my family and friends. Thank you guys a lot for stress free move, highly appreciate it!

Look absolutely no further than Up n' Go if you are looking for the most affordable and caring moving company in New York City. As my first time long distance move from Long Island City to Fort Lauderdale their rates and the exceptional customer service couldn't compare to any other on the market. The professionalism to show up perfectly on time for both pick up and delivery and their communication during the entire move are what makes them stand out!

This is exactly how it looked when we opened the unlabeled box!

Absolutely NEVER use this service! Items are damaged, fragile items boxed with heavy items with NO protective wrapping (lamp, two tool boxes, 2 brooms, and two picture frames in a wardrobe box unwrapped), wardrobe boxes have clothes dumped in a pile (still on their hangers) with NO HANGING BAR and rain boots and a comforter shoved on top of the clothes. We had two full closets in our place and NO CLOTHES are hanging in the wardrobe boxes that are solely for that purpose. We just opened two separate boxes (1 month after moving) and were shocked to find that plants had been boxed with no labeling or protective wrapping. The list goes on and on. But the main point is that this is the most egregious act of "service" we've ever paid for in our lives! We basically paid for a company to mishandle, damage and ruin our belongings. We have been trying to contact Aron Fershtman for over 1 month-- via Vemno chat, text, phone call, and Facebook Messenger. On the rare occasion that he responds, he claims that he texted us and called but that we were unavailable, though we never have a missed call or voicemail from him. **If you do use this moving service, ask for Jermaine and see if you can work something out with him privately. He packed our kitchen, and it is perfectly packed, exactly as you'd expect any professional packer to pack your things. He's also just a great and personable guy that anyone would want as their mover-- he's the best! UNLIKE, the service by Aron Fershtman and all other packers we worked with.

The only response this business owner has for his team destroying dozens of fragile items and not honoring his word to replace them.

Rather than post the awful review I intended to post, I'll post the owner's response to me, which I got today after he had already assured me everything his team damaged would be replaced (thousands of dollars worth of damage). Also, in reference to the extra boxes we had, we offered to pay the additional $150 fee but the mover asked that we put that money in his tip, which we did. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. FROM Moti (owner): Hi Amy I did talk the crow I got impression you being very musty to them haven when u have a lot more stuff and we didn't charge for the extra for it!!! About the insurance it is very clear how much the insurance coverage if castomer pack is Owen boxes it is 0.30 Cent per pound. It's very clear on my email if you read on the bottom on Avery email we Exchange and on city move site . You definitely not have full replacement for your stuff. I will respond to your review on citymove and tell how nasty you being to my crew. The insurance cover only for total lost items and you have estimated about 100 lb no more of total lost . Let you know when the check come from the insurance Have a great day! Moti Talmoore. MOORE MOVING EXPRESS inc. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.

If I was in your position I wouldn't waste any more time looking further as this is the best it gets. They helped me so much and the two guys they sent were so nice. I can not say enough good things about them. They came with a multitude of supplies to ensure all my things were taken care of and the speed at which they moved was unmatched. I have a really large television and they managed to get it off the wall with ease. Lastly they have the best insurance and they sent me the COI that my building requested (luxury building)..I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. In all honesty this was the best moving experience I ever had. I wouldn't have used any other company. If you don't contact them at least for an estimate you would be doing a dis-service to yourself.

Summary: + good price…read more+ fast and overall fine service + overall nice workers - poor communication - some unprofessionalism - some damages I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately landed on 3. I want to provide enough context so anyone considering Solidarity Movers can make an informed decision. Overall, this was one of the better moves I've had, but not one that warrants the 5-star reviews I see here. My husband and I moved from MA to NY due to family circumstances. The move was already stressful before it began, which is relevant because Solidarity was recommended by a friend who had a great experience with them. Given some poor experiences I've had with movers in the past, I felt confident choosing them. Unfortunately, things started off rocky. I completed a video walkthrough, received an initial quote, and then requested a revision. After that, communication stalled. Multiple follow-ups went unanswered, and I couldn't even get confirmation that my request was being worked on. After about a day of silence while other companies were responding consistently, I was ready to book elsewhere and left a review reflecting my experience. Within minutes, owner Zak called me. He was understanding, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about my concerns. Communication improved immediately, I received the revised quote, and their pricing felt fair, so I booked the move. A couple of weeks before the move, I reached out to confirm everything was still on track and asked about payment. I was told, in writing by Mike, that the remaining balance would be due "upon completion of your move." To me, that clearly meant after delivery. The move was scheduled for June 19 with overnight delivery on June 20. The crew was originally expected between 12 PM and 2 PM but arrived around 4 PM due to traffic. Traffic happens, and I had no issue with the delay itself. The crew was polite, worked efficiently, and seemed to handle our belongings with care. Unfortunately, this is where my experience started to decline. While packing, I overheard two crew members make a joke about my husband and me. It wasn't the worst thing I've ever heard, but it was disappointing to become the subject of a gay joke, especially from a company that publicly projects queer allyship. I chose not to make an issue of it, but another customer may have felt differently. Once loading was complete, the foreman informed me that the remaining balance was due immediately. This directly contradicted the written communication I had received. When I raised the issue, Mike acknowledged there had been a miscommunication but insisted I still had to pay on the spot. What made the interaction frustrating was how dismissive he came across. He stated this was standard procedure and said he would investigate the miscommunication, but unless there is another Mike, the miscommunication originated with him. Rather than create additional stress for myself, I paid the balance and moved on. To be clear, I still tipped the crew generously because they worked hard. By the end of the move, they had received $1,200 total in gratuity, or $400 per mover. The next day, delivery was delayed again due to traffic, but the unloading process itself was quick and organized. The crew followed instructions, reassembled our storage bed, and got everything into the house efficiently. After unloading, I was asked to sign paperwork stating everything had been delivered without damage. This struck me as odd because we hadn't unpacked a single box yet, so there was no realistic way to verify that. Like many people at the end of a move, I signed because I was exhausted and just wanted the process finished. While unpacking later, I discovered our $1,500 credenza had been damaged. Two interior shelves were broken, one completely split in half. Several glass items were also broken in transit. Nothing irreplaceable, but damage nonetheless. Could I file a claim? Sure. But after an already stressful interstate move, I don't have the time or energy to go through another lengthy process. Instead, I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. Despite everything, I would still consider recommending Solidarity Movers, especially for a local move. The crew worked hard, and this was far from the worst moving experience I've had. However, the communication issues, payment confusion, dismissive handling of that confusion, inappropriate comment, and damage to our belongings prevent me from rating the experience higher. If you're reading reviews because you're planning a move and trying to make the best decision possible, I hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck!

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

tl;dr Dispatch was great, crew was horrible…read more I want to be fair. Dispatch was professional, helpful, and the price was reasonable, especially for short notice. I wasn't pushed to give more of a tip, although I did tip more than recommended. I was initially really satisfied, but have since discovered they deliberately damaged a 6-level stacked metal card cabinet. When I included it in the inventory, I wasn't aware there were still items in the drawers. Our move was extremely chaotic, and the moving service that we used prior, checked all drawers to make sure they were empty, before moving items. People make mistakes, especially in stressful circumstances. Nonetheless, I accept that the responsibility of checking was still ultimately mine. However, if I had been made aware there were still items inside, I would have apologized, and either offered to pay more, or moved the drawers myself. After arriving at the new location, my son heard clinking sounds, as one of the movers walked past him smirking, while shaking and swinging the drawers, one in each hand. He then threw the drawers on their sides, onto one of my metal bookcases, which was apparently repeated for all 6 stacks. Between the throwing and shaking, the outer surfaces of the drawers and top of the bookcase were scratched and scuffed. The individual drawers were so badly dented that I had trouble putting several back in once removed, to retrieve the items that had been flung into the very back, past the drawers. They could have refused to take the cabinet, like they did with several boxes I had pointed out at the beginning of the move as needing to be prioritized. I had to beg and offer them more money to get those boxes onto the truck, because they said they'd already taken enough items. It wasn't until they called dispatch that they were told I had preemptively paid more the day before, because I didn't want to risk undercounting the boxes and other items. Dispatch said I didn't owe anything more, and told them to take the boxes. I was trying to understand why this crew didn't simply decline to move the cabinet, like with the boxes. They would have been well within their rights, because it violated their company's policy. Given the smirking and throwing, the only conclusion I can make is that this crew found messing with customers and damaging their items, fun.
