Man, I'm not even gonna bother going to Lowes or Home Depot anymore if I can help it.... actually…read moreI'm not going to Home Depot period, because it sucks. Hardware Express has what I need 95% of the time and the sales staff knows every square inch of the store. It takes little more than 5 minutes to walk in, get the parts I need, pay, and walk out. When I need advice on solving my latest homeowner's-pain-in-the-ass problem, the sales staff is always approachable and helpful and know what they are talking about. For the convenience of saving me at least 45 minutes in driving round trip + an extra 10-25 minutes just looking for the damn part I need or dealing with typically clueless sales associates, I am happy to pay slightly more than Lowes (Or Amazon for that matter) but this is what I am finding: it usually does not cost more. Also, buy your propane here, folks. It's half the cost of those scammy tank exchanges, and it's quick and easy.

I've been shopping at ACE for over 30 years, but this takes the cake (my local ACE would NEVER). I…read morewent to the Eureka Way location specifically to purchase a wading pool for a self-draining duck pond I'm building, the pool was out of stock at my usual ACE, and while checking out I mentioned my October birthday coupon. The employee, Ben, responded with "Oh, $hit," then seemed visibly annoyed while applying it. Then it got weird...He asked if anyone had helped me. I explained "no", I had gone straight to the garden section, grabbed the pool, and gone to the register. He scoffed, "Well... I'm helping you, aren't I?" I said, "Okay," assuming he simply wanted to fulfill some customer service metric the store was collecting. Apparently that wasn't enough--he proceeded to explain THREE separate times that HE was helping me, asking, "Like, do you actually understand what I'm saying?" (in a super patronizing and condescending tone). At that point I said, "Yes, I fully understand what you're explaining, Ben. Thank you for mansplaining that for me." The whole interaction was bizarre, unnecessary, and extremely uncomfortable. The profanity over my birthday coupon was inappropriate in itself, but being repeatedly talked down to as though I couldn't comprehend a simple statement was what really crossed the line. I left wondering how such a simple checkout could possibly have become that weird. Have the misogynistic day you deserve, BenjaminS. I'll never be back.

Hardware Express - So confusing these doors lock behind you. Once your in you have to go to the far side after the checkout to exit. Seems highly unsafe.

Tickled Pink by the team in Orange!…read more. I am happy as a clam that I made the switch to Campora Propane! Saving money and getting great customer service is right up my ally. I'd been seeing the Campora trucks in town and one day at lunch I asked the guy, how much is your propane.. guy named Randy says.. $2.65 , a gallon do you use propane? WAIT!! Im paying $4.23 a gallon.! There must be a catch...I took his card and called the office and got the information. To make sure there was not "hidden agenda" I was transferred a nice manager named Jason who assured me this was their everyday normal price and that if I referred a few folks to Campora I could get 35 gallons free with my next order for each referral as a Thank you gift from Campora! Well heck, no one at brand X propane provider ever offered me a discount in 25 years of service, or free tank rental or free propane for a referral until I canceled my service, they they offered it to e at $3.83 a gallon... really? I am beyond happy with my new friends at Campora Propane, I will keep referring customers to you, and you can keep giving me extra free propane on my fill ups! Thank you Campora for helping me keep more of my hard earned money in my pocket and for your taking care of my friends and family too! You guys rock! Michele

I was able to make arrangements to pay half and they agreed to let me pay the remainder at the end of the month (July 2023). Well here we are on the 17th and after checking my mail today, I see that they have sent me to collection for the half that they agreed to accept at the end of July. I was told when this arrangement was made that I would still incur a late fee which I sort of expected. To be sent to collections just tells me that I am not as valuable a customer as I thought. I will be searching for a new company as soon as this one gets their final payment. With the current economy, I can't see how a company can treat its customers this way. We spent close to 4,000 dollars this winter heating our home, I'll spend my money elsewhere and will surely spread the word of my experience whenever given the opportunity.

I came here to this Chevron gas station market, cause I knew they do propane tank exchanges…read more Normally I have a couple of tanks for the BBQ and outdoor propane stove that has a big griddle on it. I usually just got to a place that will refill my tanks, cause it way cheaper and they fill the tanks to the max level. But they do check the date on the tank to make sure it's safe to fill, I think it's like within 10 years or something it has to be. But I had an old tank I got from a friend and I think it was too old to fill. You can tell by the valve handle, it has to be a 3 sided knob, not the old kind that looks like a flower. So, I got the idea to just do an exchange and the cage that holds a bunch of prefilled tanks. That way I get a newer tank I can refill later and get rid of that old tank. You just leave your empty tank out by the cage cause no propane tanks allowed indoors! Someone will come out and unlock the cage and exchange your tank for a filled one. I was hoping they wouldn't say my exchange tank was too old or anything, but I think the guy just wanted to get it done and go back inside the store, so it worked fine. These prefilled tanks are usually not filled to the max, so you don't get a full tank, but it was worth getting a new tank. Easy in and outta here. They take all credit cards, but I just paid cash.

We needed fuel to run the truck to charge the battery in the camper and propane to run the refrigerator/freezer. I used the Gas Buddy App to find this nearby Chevron Station-one of the few businesses with power in Anderson. They were not only open for fuel and propane but had a mini mart for other necessary supplies like water, beer and ice. The station and store were very busy and the two women who were on duty that day were amazing! One seemed to be in charge while the other had started there only recently. They really stepped up to the occasion and provided wonderful service with pleasant attitudes and smiles for everyone. We're grateful that they were there for us and truly appreciated their excellent service.

I assume the former homeowner has stopped her service and that the service rep will let me know what I can do next. I wait a few minutes and hear the truck drive away. Run outside to check the tank and it's been disconnected. Called Americas to start up new service and was told we couldn't have the tank hooked back up until the following week. I asked the person on the phone if it was normal to have the tank disconnected without informing a resident, and she lectured me that propane service is like a public utility. This is fundamentally incorrect. I have a choice with propane, and PG&E would have informed me prior to discontinuing service. Also, when I bought the house, I bought that propane in the tank. Miraculously, they got someone to the house that day. It's been a year and I called today to have the tank filled. I'm below 5% and need it done asap. After my cc info was taken and run, I was told it may take 10 days to fill the tank. I asked if we could maybe get a rush on that since I'm so low, and was told service is done on regular routes. I get that that's how things usually happen, but they've now got my money, and I'm about to have a cold house. When I pay money to be at the mercy of a company's schedule, there's a problem. TL;DR: Customer service at this company is poor. I'd recommend another option. When this tank runs out, I will be switching to a different company.
