As I started to walk back to the entrance to get a cart, Ralph walked by, proudly showing his "excellent customer service" patches. He gaves us a lot of info and insight of rechargeable mowers, the do's and don'ts of lithium batteries and much more. He loaded the mower on the cart and walked with us to check out. On the way there, we noticed in the paper ad that the self propelled model was just $30 more (usually $100). Ralph offered to take our mower back and get the other model. After that he helped us checking out and loading it in the car. That is what customer service should look like. Thanks Ralph, your help was greatly appreciated.

Al (Alfred) and his team from Frank's were assigned to the job. Al came out to look at what needed to be done; the estimate also included a tub replacement ( I purchased the tub & had it delivered for installation). He also met with the construction contractor (walls had been removed) to discuss what needed to be done from his end. I received the estimate the next day - scope of work was very thorough, detailed & complete. So much so I was able to use it as a punch list for the plumbing work. When time came for plumbing work, Al & his team arrived on time, were completely focused on getting the pipe work updated & completed; tub installation completed on the 2nd visit. On the final visit, faucet installed in the new sink, all plumbing work was inspected by Al & ready for Township Plumbing Inspector. This was not an easy plumbing job by any means. Al & his team from Frank's did an exceptional job - all work was organized, performed professionally, work areas were all cleaned after jobs were completed. Final inspection done by Plumbing Inspector passed with flying colors. Pricing for the job was reasonable, given the amount of work that had to be done. Thank-you, Frank's Plumbing & Alfred for an outstanding job!

They dug from back downspot to street, laid new piping, added stone by street and backfilled the dirt. Excellent. The cement side was a different issue. I dealt with Ed R. The cement work is subed. When the crew came to dig up the sidewalk I saw on ring camera that they did not remove one of the contracted pads (they were supposed to do 4 pads but only did 3). I contacted Ed R. while they were still at my house. Later that day the three pads were cemented in. That part of sidewalk was well done (even if not all pads were done). A month later a new crew came to dig up the fourth pad, they did mine and the neighbors. Horrible job. They stomped all over my new grass, The new pad near my other ones was too high so they leveled it down the last three inches but you can notice that it's not level, the pads by the grass are sloped down (maybe they didn't pour enough cement), not very smooth surface, and when they cleaned up they did it by my decorative curb (leaving stains on it). They have set themselves up as distributors for a long list of products that they try to sell at an unusually high markup, hoping that they'll get away with it because many of these are specialty items (I was ordering Drutex windows from Europe) where it's hard to comparison shop. I ended up paying $8000 more than another quote. I didn't need my windows until October, but Mark pressured me into buying them in August to combine with some of his other orders. By the time I had a chance to look at a quote from another distributor (which was 80% less) it was too late to cancel half of the order. If you are ordering building materials, make sure you can't order them directly and you get two other quotes first. There were a lot of red flags that I ignored because I have a lot going on with work in addition to planning a new building for my work space. I'm sure they are probably great at building and renovating but this predatory behavior with their markups on building supplies has to stop. I don't like writing negative reviews and I wish them well but they need to change their practices. In addition, they owed me a refund because I ended up overpaying they've told me they sent a check which never arrived.

However this wasn't too bad, the associate Tom pulled the items for me and kept behind the counter. I also appreciate that I don't feel like they're trying to oversell or upsell on things I could do less expensively. For example, we are redoing our kitchen ourselves (it's an ongoing process if you know what I mean) and we reused the old cabinets because they were in good shape. The old cabinets had doors that were not compatible with hidden hinges unless you wanted to spend an *obscene* amount of money on hinges. The guys at Rockler's walked me through the options and I realized that we just needed new doors. Initially I thought we would make the doors but then that felt a bit overwhelming with all we needed to do. So I decided that we were going to buy doors. Rockler's sells doors. I figured that was perfect. When I went back in to tell the guy helping me that we were going to buy new doors, he told me that the style door we were interested in was actually a very simple one to make. He outlined the process right then and made us feel much more confident about the process. Making doors is really a better option for us because we will save a lot of money that way and we've done some woodworking before - just not cabinet doirs. We stopped in today to get our materials and when I saw that they didn't have any reviews I wanted to add one right away. If you're looking for a truly knowledgable staff that will support you or simply provide quality materials, definitely stop into this location of Rockler's.
