The service was very hard to fine with little employees. When we found them the did tell us the right place to go to get what we needed. We wanted a trashcan for a kitchen and they did have a good selection of trash canes they were just too small for what we needed. The value was average with normal prices to other lows. Lowe's is a standard go to for all things Home Improvement including some cleaning supplies. We like their lawn decorations for the holidays, too, but you need to get them early or you'll be out of luck. The paint department has never disappointed, the blinds in their brand have also been a regular go-to, Roth and Allen. On one Saturday we happened upon a little workshop going on with youngsters and happened to have one with us. She was warmly invited to participate and what a grand time she had! Kids learn early the joy of creating a project and in this case, Lowe's is a fun place to find your project supplies. Also, we return to Lowe's on dull cold Sunday evenings to walk our dog, since they welcome our furry friends. We finally tried Lowe's Companies, Inc. due to their service and mission. We purchased a washer and dryer last weekend, didn't get it hooked up until mid-week and today we notice there is a dent on the bottom right corner. If we stack it, the bottom would not be flush. The Lowe's Companies, Inc. sales rep was incredibly helpful at the point of sale - but at the check-out there is NO signage about the 48 hour return policy, it's not on the receipt, nor was it verbally mentioned. Today, the manager said, "Unfortunately, we are bound by corporate policy when we took this job that after 48 hours you have to contact the manufacturer due to concealed damage." He then cited a sign in front of the building. He verified there is no sign in the appliance section. So I came here looking for some garden things. Because HD on Elmwood didn't have them, according to their website. But this Lowe's did, according to their website. Very few staff wearing masks. Way too few for any level of comfort. Baffling that they think those same people who have been complaining about the masks are now vaxxed. So I walked around looking for the plant supports I had come for, but the website must not have been updated yet. Because either they weren't in the area the website said or they were out. On1/9/25 went to Lowes on Niagara Blvd to purchase material for a kitchen project I purchased supplies over $2,100.00, It included a Sinlokogy for $451.00. The sink arrived on 1/13/25 I arrived broken in 3 large pieces, I reorder a replacement on 1/14/25, which arrived on 1/17/25, which had the corner broken and it was cracked in the center. I had to return both sinks which was difficult being I am a senior they were a help with my return. I reorder my 3rd sink on 1/18/25, I spoke to mgr Phillip who told me he couldn't find my order so he reorder. For days I wasn't able to reach the mgr, the 3rd sink was finally delivered on 1/29/25, which was in good condition. From 1/13/25 until 1/29/25 my installer was put on hole they had other jobs. When contacted by Lowes I was told I would receive $25 in a gift card no credit to my account. I wasn't looking for a large amount $25 for a project that was over $2,100.00 I don't want to give the exact. I prefer Lowe's than Home Depot for things like tile, cabinets, and some light fixtures. Lowe's also always have sales and discounted items available. I had a really nice gentleman help me out in the flooring section the other day. He was able to answer questions on availability and pricing but also was providing some info on the differences with the material and also tips on installing it. I wasn't expecting to get that much information when stopping but it was all very helpful in deciding what material is going to work best. They also carry a lot of color options which is different than other stores in the area. After wandering this vast expanse of a store for about 20 minutes, we finally got our hands on a cart with which to transport the thing to the register. Another couple nearby was going through the same ordeal. Why, oh why, can't they make an effort to regularly round up these things and return them to the lobby? Or pay attention to the folks who are obviously wandering lost and offer assistance? At one point, hubby and I got separated, so I went to the so-called Customer Service desk. When I asked if I could have someone paged, the response was a snarky, "If you give me a name". Wow. Had I remembered last year's microwave experience, I would have suggested opening the box to check the lawnmower before leaving the store. I realize Lowe's had no way of knowing that the perfectly good box contained a totally smashed microwave (makes you wonder, doesn't it?), but it presented a pretty big inconvenience. Thankfully, mower was fine, and our lawn looks great. On the positive side, the website allows you to see what stores have your item in stock, and in many cases, exactly where in the store to find it. If I could give this store negative stars, I would. The appliance purchase from absolute hell. We bought a fridge and when it came in, it was unfortunately too big. We immediately initiated a return and exchange. The pick up attempt of the first fridge was as follows: Attempt one: I sat in our empty, new house for 5.5 hours. An hour past the delivery window, I called Lowe's. It took 9 calls to get an actual human being on the phone. They directed me to the truck company who said it was an error on Lowe's end (may or may not be true) and that they weren't coming. It took me 4 attempts of being on hold for 45-60 minutes each time to get a hold of Lowe's receiving department to reschedule the pick up for two days later. Attempt two: they just straight up didn't show up again. Called the store to complain. No answered. My dad called for me and got a manager to schedule it again. Attempt three: also didn't show up. Waited on the phone for over an hour again to reschedule it. Finally we ended up going to the store in person and demanding our card be refunded. And guess what? Then they picked the fridge up. For appliances, save yourself the friggen headache. Worst customer experience of my entire life. I will never spend another dime of my money at this store read more

We placed an online order for play sand that goes into a sand table. The app was easy to place the order and the order was available very quickly. Once we arrived at the store, the online order pick-up was easily marked, so you don't have to drive around trying to find where to go. The customer service agent was fantastic and in a great mood, even though he was running around trying to take care of everyone during rush hour. It's no secret that I'm obsessed with plants. Especially if anyone steps into my apartment. Lowes on Niagara Falls Boulevard is my go-to place for soil, fertilizers, pots and more. As much as I hate to admit this, as I love supporting my favorite local greenhouse, but I do occasionally buy larger plants from this Lowes as well. They have a great selection of large, healthy houseplants such as Fiddle Leaf Fig, Dracaena, and Sansevieria and more for under $15. This review is specifically for store #1883 in Amherst NY. 6/24/20 - order placed online 6/30/20 - I received an email that my order was delayed 7/6/20 - I received an email that my order was ready to be picked up 7/7/20 - I went to the 'curb side' pickup parking spot and followed the instructions on the sign which was to call the store and press option '2'. I got stuck in a continuous phone tree loop for eight minutes. I tried calling again, selecting '9' for other departments and then '0' for customer service. I let it ring inside of the store for 20 minutes (no one picked up). I drove to the contractor pickup area (I had my dog with me in the car and didn't want to go inside because I wasn't leaving her in a hot car). A cashier came out to tell me I could not park there. I explained that I had tried to call the store to get someone to bring out my order, she suggested that I come in. I told her I couldn't (dog in the car) and I asked her to alert someone to come out to curbside. I drove back to curbside pickup area and after 15 minutes no one came out. I tried calling the store a third time, spoke to a man who asked for the order number and then told me he'd be right out. He wasn't right out. I installed the Lowe's app while I was waiting and also communicated via the app that I was outside waiting. Finally the guy comes out (empty-handed) and says that my order isn't in the store anywhere. I asked why I got the email yesterday saying it was, he didn't know. I spent an hour in the Lowe's parking lot before leaving empty-handed. When I got home, the guy called me and said that my order IS there and is ready, I tell him I'll pick it up in the morning. Four hours later another employee called me and asked where I was parked in the parking lot - the app alerted the store that I was there to pick up my order (4 hours after I had left the store!) I told him I'd be by the next morning to pick it up. 7/8/20 - I go to Lowe's and again park in the curbside pickup area. I call the store, again no one is answering. I go inside. The cashier tells me that I already picked up my order. No, I did not. I explained all of the above, she doesn't understand. She sends a stock guy to look for the order 'in the back,' and I ask for a manager. While I'm waiting for a manager, another customer tells me she has been experiencing something similar except she doesn't live as near to Lowe's as me. She actually lives several counties away and has to drive there every few days to check on her order because every time she tries to call them no one answers; she's let it ring for an hour on her end with no luck. Someone in the store told her (in person): 'Oh yeah, our phone system has been messed up for like seven weeks.' Manager 'Molly' tells me that my order is not in the store - I told her I received TWO calls yesterday that it was, and ask Molly why two people would call me saying my order is ready and waiting if it wasn't in the store. She then claimed that my order is being shipped to my residence with another item that was on back order. (Story on that other item: I received an email saying they're out of stock and to call the 1-800 Lowe's number if I still wanted the item. I did so and the rep on the line told me that they'd email me when the order was on its way to me. I have not received an email that this other item is on the way, so how can my in-store pickup item be being shipped when the other item hasn't been shipped?!?) 7/9/20 - I still don't have my order. Lowe's is just awful. My husband and I preferred Lowe's over Home Depot but we're going to switch to Home Depot for our needs in the future. read more

All the Home Improvement stores are making a fortune during the pandemic. They just don't want the customers. So they should do themselves a favor and just sell their stores to Home Depot who know how to run a business. So, if you have a question about a product good luck trying to reach someone. Amherst Lowes has officially brought to me the worst home improvement experience of my life and that is why after I get my refund (for no work completed) I'll be done for good. Flooring Project for a Rental Property that I own in North Buffalo off Colvin Ave. (1 street over from Home Depot) Though I chose to go the extra 20 minutes to Lowes Amherst because I always thought they had a better selection. Little did I know how terrible the overall customer service and install outsourcing to 3rd party companies has destroyed this company from what it used to be. I was let down by their outsourced 3rd party Install Company: SERVICE PROS. Measurement Specialist Confirmed the wrong material would work, material was ordered and delivered to store, then I had to drop off at the house before they'd let me schedule install, they scheduled and then cancelled just before because their local contractor was putting out poor work that continually needed to be fixed. When a new install specialist was hired and showed up, he refused to install the floor as he said it was not compatible and never should've been ordered in the first place. I was let down by LOWES Assistant Store Manager, Tim, who was informed of my issues every step of the way and never actually brought me a complete solution. He knew SERVICE PROS kept dropping the ball, he tried to use LOWES National Support Services to help me, I was just pushed back to the store (Not what they're supposed to do). I needed the material picked back up by them, so to not inconvenience me for their issue as I live 1 hour away, Never happened or followed through as promised. I Ordered a new floor to give them another chance to make it right, 3 weeks later, manufacturer cancelled the order and I'm left here now 1st week of October with ABSOLUTELY nothing at all and Tim won't even call me back after asking for him to tell me what's next. 2 months after I started to try to work with this company on a Flooring Project, I'm officially throwing in the towel. I could wait 30 minutes so he could let me know how long I have to wait tomorrow to get the replacement delivered or he could call me back as soon as he had the information. Unfortunately this saga is to be continued and I will have to edit this once I find out if Patrick is going to be a man of his word and call me back today with the delivery time for the third replacement fridge. The killer part for me is the fact and nobody ever apologize for the fact that we had to keep bringing a refrigerator back, the amount of food that we lost after grocery shopping and for the amount of times that we had to come back and forth to the store to remedy this problem. A simple sorry the inconvenience goes a long way but I guess that's too much to ask for. Stay tuned..... Update: Patrick called back with a 1:30pm-3:00pm window! No apology 4/20: I get a call from the delivery guy at 10:50 am. "We're 10 minutes away with your fridge" ‍. As I previously mentioned this is for a commercial business I do not live at this commercial business space so I cannot be there in 10 minutes and this is where head of the time that he told me it was going to be delivered. I'm not trying to be difficult but I'm also not going to continue to be inconvenienced stop what I'm doing to go meet you over there when I'm well over 10 minutes away from the business. Now I can only hope and pray that he will be able to come back within that time that they previously quoted me. I love Lowes I really do. My hometown store is Springville NY and they are the BEST. The West Amherst NY store not so much. The customer experience has been sorely lacking. A few days ago it took 45 minutes to get someone able to cut a piece of plywood for me. I literally went to customer service, called the store and went to customer service again. Nobody showed up. 2 associates said they couldn't help me, one said he couldn't leave his cashier spot and the other said he was new and didn't know what to do. I finally went to flooring and if it wasn't for Drew jumping into action helping to Find Vance who knew how to use the saw I would probably still be waiting. Fast forward to today. I needed help in plumbing. There were no associates in that entire half of the store. No help button either. Once again I walked to customer service and asked for help. They sent out a page.
