The shop staff is friendly. The selection is a little limited, but being able to get in and out easy has its benefits.

Hello Everyone! I don't usually take time to do these reviews but I felt compelled to warn all of…read moreyou against doing business with this establishment. Last year we bought hardwood floor from them for our Kitchen--A couple of weeks ago an Appliance Repair Guy scratched our floor and I wanted to see if we could repair the floor instead of changing the whole thing--I called Carlos there and he was very nice and said our floor was discontinued but he had a couple of boxes that we could come get them--He said that since our floor was a year old the boards might not match if that was the case he would return them for us--We went to the store and they loaded the boxes in my car. The boxes were very old and not in good shape and were slightly opened on the ends of the boxes--We unloaded them and waited for the contractor--When the contractor arrived of course he pulled one board out of each box to make sure there were no stains on the Maple Wood--Once they pulled these couple boards out it was discovered that they were severely damaged and the color of these the boards in these boxes were different than what I have on my floor--I immediately texted Carlos and he texted me to bring the 2 boxes back for a full refund--I still have the text message on my phone---He was very nice and said no problem. When I arrived at the store, the employee at the Counter was extremely rude and immediately started talking down to me as if I was a student in her classroom--I nicely explained the issue and showed her the text message from Carlos and she started talking to me down again and said well I am not taking them back! I was flabbergasted! I have never seen any retailer act like this! Home Depot, Lowe's, etc would never act like this--She brought our her Manager Quinn and she told him to back her up even though she was wrong and of course, that is exactly what he did---They made no attempt to resolve this or make me feel good as a customer who put my trust in them as a customer---Didn't even offer a store credit--Just kept lecturing me how he would lose money!!! Especially after I had spent thousands of dollars with them last year! On top of it! They kept the Merchandise and made no attempt to give it back to us before we left the store!! Now, it will have to go to the Credit Card as a dispute but can you guys believe all this for a lousy $300?? How petty they were/are! I will never go back to these guys and I wanted to give all of you a heads-up!

I've been coming to this building for my hardware needs for over 20 years. Regardless of the name…read moreon the wall I've come here because I wanted to support local millbrae business. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars here over TWENTY PLUS YEARS! I'm a "member " here. Basically they track my spending habits with my phone number. (I guess. Because I've seen no benefit to me from it ). Anyways that ends here and now. I've never been made to feel more unwelcome or unappreciated than I was 45 minutes ago. I work hard. I started my day at 5 am. Midday my trusty Carhartt jacket tore and I spent the rest of my 13.5 hour work day with cold drafts and a plan to come here for a new one. This is after all the same place I'd bought all my other high priced Carhartt gear. Put yourself in my shoes. 5 am start. Off at 6:30pm with a torn jacket. A feeble lunch of whatever it was I had and enough coffee to get me through. Race to the Outdoor supply and walk in the door to be "Greeted" by "You have one minute to shop!' We close at 7!!" (Mutters to coworker. Loud enough for me to hear "I know I know I shoulda locked it !" ). But I look at my watch it's 6:58. So apparently you don't "close at 7" you close a little before that. I'm followed by 2 men that are acting like children telling me "we close soon ! We close soon ! He's closing the register !!" In the MOST WHINY AND PATHETIC way I've ever heard. As I say. "I know I know I was already told. But I NEED A JACKET!" I'm followed to the jackets then I'm told again. "We close soon he's closing the register !!" (Look at my watch. It's 6:59) I find my jacket. It seems to have increased in price nearly double what I remember having paid previously but I'm literally so uncomfortable because I have two grown men and a teenager pacing and acting like they'll all be punished or something terrible will happen in the next 12 seconds. So I quickly find my size jacket. Only to discover that it's literally CHAINED UP!! With a steel cable and padlock ! In MILLBRAE. Not a third world country. Millbrae. Let me be clear. They've chained up the jackets and you can't even try them on!! Then as the three employees pacing around me figure out that they can't annoy me away. They begin to frantically try to unchain my $150 windbreaker while conversing loudly how inconvenient I am and how "he's closing the register !!" (Question ? Does ... like ?? I dunno. A BOMB GO OFF? Does like little Timmy lose a thumb if the register closes at 7:01? ) Cuz by 7:03 as I walk ran to the register in time to see another man shooed out the door with the entire rest of the store staff pacing by the door as If they all need a wee wee and the potty is closed .. the cashier is hurriedly ripping the cash drawer out of the register and trying to leave. Making me wonder what woulda happened if he left my sight ?? Would I have been told in that same whiny tone "sorry. We told you. He. Closed the register .." Seeing me ; his shoulders slump , he turns to the cash drawer and shoves it closed and BEFORE I can even ask "what's the easiest way I can pay and get out of this awkward mess?" He says "card only we're closing ". (Ok. I get that. It's literally all I've heard In the 4 minutes I've been here. ) I (for some reason) give my phone number even tho I already am seething and also oddly feeling guilty like I've somehow ruined 6-7 people's night by being their last customer. I pay and I'm followed out by 2 people. Only hearing my first friendly "thank you " as I walk out. Thinking to myself it felt like "thank you for FINALLY LEAVING !" It was 7:05pm So. I'll say online. Publicly for all to read what I said to her. "I'm sorry I came in .." I mean it. And when I say "I'm sorry. " the man I am means that it won't happen again. So don't worry Outdoor Supply. I won't bother you all again ever with my patronage. I'm sorry.

Since the 2019 lockdowns the current manager seems to be hell-bent on making it the most miserable place to shop on Earth. All the cashiers are gone. Now there are just an array of self checkout kiosks and at least 8 of them are closed at all times just to make sure that you still have to stand in a ridiculous line while some old woman looks over your shoulder to upsell you on a rewards membership. Item doesn't scan? Welp. You'll just get to stand there for half an hour while somebody figures out what to do about it. Need to push a large cart full of drainage pipes to one of those three open self-checkout kiosks? Well surprise, idiot. Mr. Manager Man has decided to put giant display racks in the middle of every aisle making that completely impossible under the best of circumstances. 99% of the time there will also be a waddling gaggle of morbidly obese people obstructing whatever's left of the aisle because they want to look at the moose scented candles or whatever stupid bullshit they're carrying for no apparent reason. Need to find a particular electrical or plumbing fitting? Too bad. Every single box has had its contents thoroughly shuffled with every other box in the store so there's absolutely no chance the fitting you need is anywhere near where it's supposed to be. Asking anyone where they put them just gets you a stoned "Uh, like... What?" from the random idiot wandering around. Entire aisles will be cordoned off for the entire day because someone eventually plans on restocking something. They're not stocking it now and they won't be stocking it in the next hour but it's closed. If you dare walk down it anyway a pimply kid will yell at you and that's like really threatening or something. Just in case you haven't been run off yet, there's also an obnoxiously beeping inventory robot ramming into you from behind and a scam artist from some solar incentive sales ponzi scheme following up shortly thereafter. He got his job on the TikTok. Given what an unbelievable hassle it is just to set foot in this place, you might think that you'll be clever and order whatever you need on their website so they have to go burrowing through their own randomized inventory piles but you'll be screwed there, too, because the website automatically reloads itself at least a dozen times so the search field clears itself out and is absolutely worthless. The actual order pickup process is also every bit as time consuming as it involves a stoner doofus reading numbers on a tag to find your order. The manager needs to be removed so things can get back to their usual degree of mediocrity.

They were attentive without being pushy, incredibly knowledgeable about every piece we asked about, and genuinely invested in helping us find exactly what we were looking for. Cem went above and beyond to make the entire process seamless and enjoyable, and Nav was equally wonderful -- together they made such a strong team. We never felt rushed or pressured, just supported. They helped us think through layout, comfort, functionality, and style, and we ended up finding everything we wanted (which almost never happens in one trip!). Furniture shopping can sometimes feel overwhelming, but this experience was easy, smooth, and actually fun. We left feeling truly happy and taken care of. If you're shopping at Living Spaces, ask for Cem and Nav -- you'll be in the best hands.

I wish we would have checked the reviews before buying from here…read more I went with my sister in law to buy all new furniture for her new apartment. She bought several pieces, thousands worth, including a $750 matress. What the salesperson FAILED to tell us was that the floor model was SIGNIFICANTLY softer that the new one she would recieve because hundreds, if not thousands of people have broken it down. The matress was delivered and immediately we realized that it was hard, like rock hard. Like sleeping on a cement slab. She called and got their standard auto reply of "you just need to break it in" and their "sorry, youre outta luck - too bad for you" attitude. The time it would take to break this matress in to even half of what the floor model felt like would take years. Its completely unrealistic, shes just 1 person! Whats worse is she isnt able to get comfortable and is having lingering effects from loss of sleep and physical pain. She had to buy an expensive mattess topper which slightly helps but still.... NOT THE POINT and not 100% remedied. We tried emailing Living Spaces customer help, customer service and even a corporate email we found and they all bounced back. Its clear they have no intention of helping us. Fortunately there are consumer laws but its a shame we have to even go in that direction. It would have been nice and more importantly it would have been fair for them to not only advise of the difference in feel but remedy the situation by allowing for a courtesy exchange. Jeez, even the ability to correspond would be nice instead of having to resort to alternative recourses. Literally any other mattress chain allowes for at least a 30 day exchange. Living Spaces, you have earned your 2 star reviews.

It is well stocked for any item that you could possibly need for your home or other repairs. The staff is always excellent, polite and helpful. I was very fortunate to be helped by an experienced staff who understood completely about screws, nuts, washer, and the spring screw to fasten the bug deflector on my hood of my car. He explained to me how to put the parts together so that the screw will not fall off with movement. When I got home and tried to put the screw on the hood, I forgot the order of how the screw, washer, spring screw and nut were to be arranged. I called the store back and talked to the same staff who was very helpful to me. He explained in detail the process again and I was able to complete my task. Thank you so much for your help.
