Have bought all of my tv's from video only. Multiple locations. As usual. Went in told them what I wanted. No upselling. Just what I wanted. 65" Samsung, sound bar and wall mount. Out the door in 20 min. Happy camper. read more

Gabe was a terrific help. I was looking to upgrade my plasma TV. I called Video Only and talked to Gabe. He knew the status of the market and gave me a great price. My timing was such that I didn't need it for another month, so I paid a visit to see what I was buying. Gabe was there and showed me around, and he was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable. He also referred me to a guy who could deliver and install the TV, which worked out quite well. I love my new TV and am very glad I called Video Only! read more

The Samsung 32 in ch TV I purchased from you 3 years ago has started blasting at full sound when I turn it on--7 times in the last two weeks. I phoned and asked for help. The technician came out yesterday at 5pm with no gear/equipment; he pressed a few buttons on my remote then concluded "There is nothing I can do. Sixty dollars, please." What a rip-off. You'll understand if I won't do business with you in the future. read more

This place is great if you want a TV and/or a soundbar. I wish I had known about this place before purchasing my recent TVs. I went in looking for a soundbar and was able to get the latest model that was top of the line for an insane price (with a second one added on for a great deal). I'll definitely be back when it's time to buy a new TV! read more

Another positive review for Rabie at the Video Only San Mateo location. Not only is he super knowledgeable about tv's, he treats you like a friend. They have all the latest tvs on display, side by side, between similar models across manufacturers. They will beat most big box prices, including Costco. read more

I highly recommend Video Only and in particular Dino! We had such a wonderful TV-buying experience! Love their no-pressure sales approach. The first time we went just to browse, and Dino was super helpful and patient in talking with us and explaining our options. Then we came back in a couple of weeks (with the truck!) to actually buy. He gave us such a great deal on the TV, plus sound bar and wall mount. I will always buy my TVs here (not from Costco or Amazon) because of the excellent customer service plus THEIR PRICES ARE LOWER!! Also I am completely floored by their 0% interest financing deal. I almost bought a more expensive TV because of it ROFL! Buy your TV here! read more

Rabie Hanna was my salesperson and is also the manager of this Video Only location. He is such a pleasure to work with! He listened to what I wanted and asked me some additional pertinent questions. He focused on helping me pick the best option for my home versus the most expensive. He also recommended an awesome AV installation specialist. Rabie followed up a few weeks later to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase and installation. I highly recommend checking out Video Only if you want to purchase a new TV and sound system! read more

I just had my TV delivered and set up! What a pleasant experience. I'm sorry I didn't get the installers names. Both gentlemen were professional, charming & informative. When it comes to buying anything video I highly recommend Video only. The entire Video Only experience went wonderfully. I got a great deal, my TV was delivered on time & set up without any issues. read more

Great service, competitive pricing and knowledgeable staff. We never had to go to the store! Phone calls, consultations with the team, and voila. New top of the line Sony tv and sound bar. They were super accessible and patient with us. We also appreciated the delivery and set up service. It was all painless and stress free. Thanks Robbie! read more

Francisco was very helpful in picking out the right tv and the service was excellent. The delivery people actually work for Video Only and were very good. The price seemed lower than other places and they gave me $500 for my old tv. read more

Did some research and knew the TV I wanted. It was out of stock in nearby big box stores and that's when I discovered Video Only. Called and Dino was very helpful, confirming they had it and telling me I could recycle my old TV there. Went in and got what I wanted quickly and got my old TV recycled. Will definitely be coming here first when I need any TV equipment in the future! read more

Their service was amazing and I was able to leave with a great tv with ease. The tvs here had an a good variety and at a great cost.

I was in the market for a new TV. I wanted a large TV that was also great quality... and within budget. My father suggested I go to Video Only. When I walked in, this place was like a throwback. The store is very basic, but large. There is plenty of free parking available. The salesmen were awesome. They educated me about the basics of what I needed to know about purchasing a TV. They were kind, respectful, and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed or pressured in any way, and they didn't try to oversell me. I returned the next day to purchase a TV and they greeted me by name when I walked in. The TV I purchased was $600 less than both Costco and Best Buy's sale price...! Also they offer delivery & setup very inexpensively. Rabie was awesome and I've already told several of my friends about Video Only. Thank you...!! read more

You cannot beat the prices at Video Only! Go ahead and do your research are you want online and definitely come here to purchase. They will beat any price. Also, their knowledge is unbeatable, because all they do is TV and audio. I alway send friends in and not buy, but no one has walked out without a TV. You will at least walk out educated and capable of making a more informed choice. I've at least purchase over 10 TV with these guys and have alway had a great experience. This time, we went in and bought two 50" TVs and one 60". They also had no problem throwing in the wall mount brackets. Above all, these dudes are honest and knowledgeable. Thanks guy, I'll be back! read more

The team at Video Only is super friendly and helpful. I came looking for a specific TV and the team sold it to me at a killer deal. There was no pressure from the sales team to upsell me a different TV. Moreover they very quickly helped me out with choosing the right equipment needed to mount my TV. If you're in the market for a new TV, avoid the big chain stores and go to Video Only instead. read more

Best prices, wide selection. Less expensive than Costco, Amazon, Best Buy. Good service.

Such a great place to buy a flat screen. They are all about reducing margins and increasing volume to make it up. I am so happy to support this business model. And they are so honest. No sale is better than the truth and the laid out with no pressure, the real deal, and a better price than I could get anywhere including black friday or whatever. I like the way these folks do business. I only feel bad that i do not buy flat screen more often but I can tell everyone else to buy here at least. Ask for the manager Dino though I am sure he runs a tight ship and everyone is great so . . . read more

Shout out to our salesman Francisco! He hooked us up with our tv... he was super knowledgeable about all their products. Anything you want and need to know he knew. We already knew what size and kind of tv we wanted. We wanted a 55in smart tv. They had so many options, brands, and with all different price ranges. At first we got a 55in Sony smart tv but for some reason it wouldn't automatically connect to our WiFi at home. We had to constantly manually do it which was frustrating and annoying. I called Francisco, told him about our situation and he had us troubleshoot but it did not fix the problem. So he told us to bring back the tv and we could exchange it. When we went to exchange our tv we decided to upgrade to a better tv.. we ended up getting the 55in LG HDR 4K tv. What an upgrade!!! The tv is awesome! It is hella clear.. and we do not have any problems. I'm a happy customer! Anyway all of our transactions ran smoothly and the customer service we received was superb. Definitely go to Francisco next time you're there! read more

Called to see if Video Only would be able to match a price and they were able to. Drove over and spoke to Dino and he was more than helpful. Was surprised to see prices at video only being so much more cheaper than the big box retailers. Instead of getting a 55" tv I saved more by getting a 65" tv! Definitely recommend getting a tv here instead of the other stores! read more

A number of years ago, we bought a 40" samsung tv from Video Only and had a really great experience. My old tv gave it up last night. I called the San Mateo, CA store, picked up right away and talked with Tony. Said come on down - they would take in my dead TV and gave me some good information over the with no pressure. Arrived at the store, looked over their TV's. Took about 20 minutes. Tony the Sales Associate was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and fit my requirements. Purchased the system as well as a Bose Soundlink Color 2. This is really a great store - personal service and knowledgeable people. Oh yes and the price was great. read more

We've bought our last 3 TVs here and they're so nice, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Robbie is so sweet and I would 100x over buy from them over the big guys like Amazon, best buy, etc. They price match and will always have the best prices. Support small businesses!!!! read more

Video Only - The person that helped us! - Electronics Near Me - San Mateo, California

Service started out good, but the attitudes became a bit negative after a while. It came off as a "we know more than you" response. In addition, I purchased a nice Bose surround system (among other items), prepaid, but never got a call to pick it up. Followed up with the order, but they lost the receipt for pickup and can't prove that I didn't already pick it up. Waste of $$ and time. read more

Bought our fourth big screen this week from Video Only in San Mateo Tony our sales rep very knowledgeable and low key. An easy buy experience Delivered today and works perfectly Installers excellent Highly recommended read more

They don't honor the price given over the phone. We drove almost 45 mins for them to tell us it's $100 more than what was quoted. If they don't honor the price over the phone, there is a chance they might not honor their warranty as well. Buyer beware!! read more

Purchased a TV and asked to be delivered weekdays before 3pm. Never got the TV and still waiting on the refund. Not good business when you can't satisfy the customer and that was the agreement at purchase. read more

I called and spoke to Robbie today regarding an LG OLED and was quoted a certain price. He said he will hold it for me and I'll come by in the afternoon. I arrived around 330 and spoke to Reggie since Robbie wasn't there. I told him the price Robbie quoted me and he wouldn't honor it. The price he gave wasn't much more, but that wasn't the point. If you're going to give me a price I expect the business to honor that. Bad business and a waste of time since I came from San Jose. read more

I've driven by this Video Only location a few times and when my husband said he wanted to look at new TVs on Black Friday, I suggested we check it out! Doug helped answer all of our many questions and guaranteed his prices were better than anywhere else. The Black Friday sale price for the TV we picked was $699 but Doug sold it to us for even less. After researching the same TV online, I couldn't find it for less than $799 so we definitely got the best deal! When we got the TV home, we couldn't find a set of screws in the packaging and it turned out they were in the bag with the remote control. So if you're missing any screws, check there! There is another Video Only location in San Mateo but we were told the Mountain View location houses a larger warehouse. read more

Was looking to upgrade a Samsung over 10 years old and went to the store to check out their Super Bowl sales. Francisco was excellent at dissecting the subtle differences between the LG C1 vs Sony A80J. Videos Only's Super Bowl deals absolutely blew their competition away. Received fantastic service from Francisco, Dino, and Robbie. Would recommend this store to anyone looking for a new TV. read more

I just bought my second tv from Dino and I've always had great experiences both times. He's incredibly knowledgeable and helpful the moment you walk in. I ended up trying to save some money by buying an open box tv but unfortunately when I got home and powered it on I saw that the screen had an issue. I brought it back to Dino and explained the issue and he was quick to apologize for the inconvenience and went to right to helping me find a new tv at a great price. I really hate buying large electronics like this online so it's great to see stores like this VideoOnly around still with great customer service. read more

On appearance I don't think this would be the first store I'd want to go to to purchase a high end TV, but once inside this place has everything you would need to have a great setup. There were two people working and they didn't seem necessarily too busy but they did provide service to everyone who walked in. They were very courteous and helpful and I walked out with a TV, extended warranty, and a few wall mounts. I was very happy with the service and the purchase. read more

Was looking for a good deal on the LG OLED C1 65'' tv and came across a promo online advertising Video Only's price at about $400 less than competitors so called the store for more details. Dino was so helpful answering all my questions and was knowledgeable about competitors pricing as well as the differences in warranty details. Needless to say, with the best price so far beating out Best Bay and Costco (!) I placed my order over the phone and since my car can't fit a 65'' tv, Dino was so kind as to offer to delivery it to me locally for free! Such a rarity to see this level of customer service from the big box retailers. I will def be going back to Video Only for all other tv needs, possibly for a wall mount soon! read more

Been researching for a sound bar for a while now, and decided to go with the JBL 5.1. But before purchasing, wanted to hear it in person. Decided to go to BestBuy in Union City... Terrible. The display they had up only allows you to play some whack commercial and unable to turn the volume up. Not to mention their lack of knowledge and helpfulness didnt come in handy. Now I am on my way to Video Only. Handsome gentleman by the name of Fransisco helped me with the deciding factor. Here they let you connect your phone and test the sound bar out. The ones I tested (LG SP8YA and the JBL 5.1) JBL was the winner. But in the back of my mind, I really wanted Atmos. Then Fransisco shows me the JBL 9.1. A little out of my price range, but has what I wanted (Atmos)! Since I liked the JBL 5.1, said to myself why the hell not? Fransisco assured me if I didnt like it, I could bring it back within 30 days. And I doubt I will be bringing this back! Yea... He up sold me. Do I regret it? Nope. Good job on that guy! read more

Best service around they are really helpful and knowledgeable. they beat the competitions price every time.

I have heard the radio commercials for Video Only but never quite believed the hype. I thought Costco had the best prices for TV's - I was so wrong!! Video Only is AMAZING! The only thing better than the prices and their huge selection is the customer care and knowledge given to me by Dino. My husband wanted a new LG TV and I was hoping to surprise him with one for his birthday. Dino showed me all of the LG OLED choices and pointed out the different features, crispness, color, clarity, sound etc. He recommended a high quality tv at an amazing price. I highly recommend Video Only in San Mateo. Dino was so knowledgeable and I walked away excited that I got my husband a birthday gift that he will love. read more

I don't remember experiencing so many -ism's in one transaction. I had a salesman named Mike Shapiro who was a total butthead to me. He's condescending and rude. When I asked him about a package for a TV, Blu-ray player, and some cables, he asked me what I meant about a package. I explained that I was looking to see if they had any deals similar to the ones advertised on their website in my price range. He gave me an exact price, right down to the cent, so I figured that it was the final price. I asked him if that was the final price, and he said yes. When it came time to ring me up, to my surprise, he hadn't added the tax and other fees that comes with the purchase. I asked Mike why he didn't tell me, and he told me: "Well, I don't know what to tell you. The state of California charges people this thing called a sales tax. Sales taxes pay for roads and for other people who can't afford things." I thanked him for the quick and inaccurate civics lesson, and almost walked out the door. However, I knew if I didn't get a TV that day, I would wait another year to make this purchase. While I was having a conversation with my friend about Hz quantity and quality, he interjected. Mike said: "Well, little lady, 600 Hz compared to 60 Hz, it's like shoes..." Then he goes on about some girly shopping thing that I tuned out. I'm sure Mike probably thinks that all non-White female customers have no clue what they're buying and that he was given a card to be a total and complete butthead. read more

Came here for the first time after hearing a commercial on the radio. When I first walked in I felt like I went back in time. The store isn't modern looking at all and is the complete opposite modern stores and with not many customers in the store I was skeptical and considered walking right back out. I'm glad I didn't. The sales person Dino made me feel comfortable and unpressurerd. He took the time to help me and demo products and didn't rush me. In the end I purchased that day. The price was below what you'd get at Best Buy and they have a much better return policy. I will be back read more

He doesn't know it yet, but Marty has made a sale. We first encountered Video Only three years ago when a friend of mine suggested we check them out. We were in the market for a new flat panel television and sure enough, they had the best prices. And to this day we love our TV almost as much as life itself. Once again we are in need of another TV. My wife is now a Netflix subscriber and I am being chased from the living room and being sent off to the bedroom. Now this is all fine and stuff, but I refuse to watch a television that is not HD! I just can't go back, I won't! I refuse! Over my dead body!! We have done all our research and checked out the Best Buys, Costcos and other on line retailers. But Video Only once again has the TV we want and at the best price. Marty the salesperson is extremely knowledgeable, took the time to explain the features from each TV and never once tried to up sell nor did he use any high pressure tactics. We left without our future TV, but I am thinking the minute I finish with this review I am out the door to pick up another slice of Heaven for our home. And later that day...... The new TV is now tucked away at home and sleeping like a baby. And if you have any thoughts of that we might be returning it then all I have to say is "From My Cold, Dead Hands". read more
