2003 Mitsubushi Eclipse GTS Spyder convertable
    Linda H.

Awesome experience and can't speak highly enough of Paul, the Service Manager, and his mechanics. We have a beautiful 2003 burgandy Eclipse Convertable Spyder GTS with 69,000 miles. A pristine, show worthy car. We are original owners. We took it originally to a local, supposedly reputable independent repair place in Thousand Oaks, CA where we live. Ran fine, but needed to receive a new timing belt for prevention. Wrong decision. They installed the timing belt incorrectly and jeopardized the entire engine! Almost destroyed the car. We went ahead and found Universal Mitsubishi in Van Nuys. Paul answered the phone and the level of service incredible. We had it towed that morning all the way from Thousand Oaks on a Friday to Van Nuys. Thank God we did! Paul called us back the minute it arrived, had his mechanics take a look at it. Ran some tests. The timing belt installed wrong and possibly, just us driving it 10 miles home, could have created major damage to the engine. Won't know, until they get in it and pull it apart. Bottom line, Paul was Amazing keeping us informed, and we had the car back on Monday. Fully repaired. He informed us that they were able to use the same timing belt, removed and installed correctly and that we were lucky, no further damage. The price was very reasonable. We drove 40 minutes to pick up the car and met Paul. We trusted Paul from the minute he picked up the phone when we first called. When we arrived, we saw all the placards of all the years of top awards that he has earned at this same Dealership. He started the same year as our car, 2003!! No doubt about it, we're driving all the way back for all future servicing. Thanks Paul and Team! So sorry I had to say no to selling the car to your dealership! It's our baby!

after market key fob with no emergency key.

BUYER BEWARE! We purchased a vehicle from this dealership on 12/04/25, and our experience has been extremely disappointing. I have filed formal complaints with the California Attorney General's Office, BBB and the DMV. If you have experienced similar business practices with this dealership, I strongly encourage you to report it as well so this behavior does not continue. Businesses like this should not be allowed to do business. They have an F rating with the BBB. Issue #1 - Defective Tire & Broken Promise of Reimbursement At delivery, the tire pressure monitoring system showed one tire was low. We immediately raised concern that the tire could be leaking. Bobby, the sales representative, assured us it was not leaking and stated that if the tire turned out to be defective, we should replace it and submit the receipt for reimbursement. The tire continued losing air and ultimately had to be replaced (could not be patched due to the location of the leak). We submitted documentation and requested reimbursement on 12/30/25. On 01/01/26, Bobby called and offered to reimburse only half the cost -- something that was never discussed or agreed to at the time of purchase. The agreement was for full reimbursement if the tire was defective. He said he would speak with the general manager. We followed up again on January 15. Issue #2 - Incomplete Key Fob & Missing Emergency Key The vehicle was delivered with only one after market key fob, and that fob is incomplete -- it does not contain the manual emergency key that is designed to be housed inside it. I emailed on 01/18/26 and provided photographs documenting the missing key. I never received a response. The fact that we were given only one incomplete key fob makes this even more problematic. Management Escalation & No Resolution On 01/22/26, I escalated both issues to Sales Manager Carlos De La Luz. He acknowledged the matter and stated he needed time to assess and hoped to reach an amicable resolution. We spoke by phone on January 23, and he said he would look into both the tire reimbursement and creating a proper key. After receiving no update, I followed up in writing again on January 29 requesting a status update and timeline. There has been no response since.

I took my Tesla Model S into Sherman Oaks Exclusive because I had a message on my dash dashboard that said "adaptive ride control unavailable". They claim to be Tesla experts. I left my car there for a few hours. When I came back, they told me that I needed the right front strut replaced as it was defective and that I should also replace the left one as when one strut is defective the other one will soon go bad and quoted me an excessive $7,000.00 After looking quite shocked and questioning the price, the service advisor Geo Fuerte told me that he could use aftermarket parts and that would cost me in the order of $4,000.00 I was shocked and took the car back. I took my car into Tesla repar in Santa Monica. Tesla kept the car for a couple of hours and repaired the car completely for $270.00. There was nothing defective with the struts. I'm shocked that these people, when I asked them why their labor was so high, which was about nineteen hundred dollars, they said they charge per job, not per hour which I don't believe is correct. I would not suggest any people going to their business to have any car repaired. I think they are dishonest or just don't know what they're doing

After ordering accessories for my 2026 GMC Acadia, I called four times in April for an installation quote and never received a callback. In August, I finally reached someone who quoted me $227 to install the front and rear mudflaps, side steps, and roof rack. Because the price seemed unusually low, I confirmed exactly what it included and asked for the quote in writing. I was told they could not provide that, but an internal note would be sent to the dealership. When my wife, two-year-old daughter, and I arrived, they initially could not locate the parts and then told me the labor would be approximately $2,300. After reviewing the recorded call, management claimed the $227 quote covered only the mudflaps and would not allow me to listen to the recording. I ultimately returned the parts. I'm not looking to tear down a business I've supported for years, but customers should be aware of this communication problem. Get every quote in writing before making the trip.

Unfortunately, there was no one available to entertain my inquiry at the moment so I left the lot and that was my mistake for it was really late and everyone must have been gone for the night. At my way home, I was contacted by Mehr by several communication avenues and insisted to come back. I told her that I would be coming back the next following day since it was late at night. She did her very best to accommodate me at the earliest possible time at my convenience even though that she has worked late the previous day. She has spontaneously communicated to me by sending photos and possible terms for financing even if she does not have to. Even at the following day to have the car prepped up early before the appointment. It seems like my story is a typical day to day grind on the sales in the automotive industry. My point is that I have never been cared for and no one really have the persistence to communicate to me even though there was not a guarantee that I would make the purchase. I have been shopping for a pre-owned vehicle and was never really treated like what Mehr did. I have been to other 4 dealership prior and left because I felt that I was not treated very well as a customer. I even got flaked by another sales person in a Huntington Beach dealership and never notified me that the vehicle that I set-up an appointment with has been sold the previous day and came the day we got to the place and car was no longer there and the sales person was not around for he called-in. Mind that I have to travel 79 miles one way from where I reside to the dealer location. Going back to the topic. You are in good hands if you get her as your agent. She explains the very detail of everything. I know that she did her very best because I could relate for I was in sales too from a different industry a very long time ago. Mehr truly is a gem.

We came in as serious buyers looking for a specific type of vehicle and gave the sales representative a list of the features and options we wanted. Instead of helping us find the right vehicle or discussing what was available, the sales rep rudely responded, "Can you even afford a $150,000 car?" I couldn't believe that was actually said to us. Whether a customer is shopping for a $30,000 car or a $150,000 car, no one should be spoken to or judged that way - especially before the salesperson has made any effort to understand the customer. We weren't asking for special treatment. We simply came in ready to shop and expected basic professionalism and respect. Instead, we felt judged and disrespected enough that we walked away from the dealership. After being a Keyes customer for years, it's extremely disappointing that one interaction could completely change the way I view the dealership. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the vehicle. The moment Chase became involved, he stepped up without hesitation and made everything right. He exchanged the truck and got me into a newer truck with a higher MSRP, while making the entire transaction smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. Chase's professionalism, honesty, and commitment to customer satisfaction were exceptional. While I understand that repairs can take time, I was also told that no rental vehicles were available, meaning I would be left without transportation for the duration of the repair. What makes this even more frustrating is that I pay $1,400 per month for a vehicle that is already experiencing significant problems. I was also informed that the delay is due to the dealership being short-staffed and behind on repairs. I spoke with the Service Manager, Hector Herrera, in hopes of finding a solution. I explained that I have a daughter with special needs and rely on my vehicle every day for appointments, school, and daily activities. Although he acknowledged my situation, his response was simply that all 14 rental vehicles were already in use and there was nothing they could do. I even suggested being placed on a waiting list so that I could bring my Jeep in once a rental became available. I was told that wasn't possible. Additionally, I was told that if I wanted to, I could contact other dealerships myself to see if they had a vehicle available. I found this extremely upsetting, as I believe it is the dealership's responsibility to assist customers and help provide solutions, especially in situations where customers are left without transportation due to service delays. Instead, I am expected to go without a vehicle for several weeks with no transportation, no alternatives, and no meaningful effort to assist. I understand that staffing shortages and high repair volumes can happen, but customer service should not suffer because of it. The lack of empathy, communication, and willingness to help was unacceptable. I left feeling that my concerns and circumstances simply did not matter. I expected far better service and support from a dealership representing the Jeep brand.
