In 1980 I moved to the then,smallish town of Plano Texas. The pressure pushing up from the rear,creating the never ending North Texas growth,was just gaining steam. This was the first post office I used there and my memory is of a highly efficient facility run by career professionals. Many things have changed since then but,we still depend on the USPO occasionally, regularly and Routinely. When you need it, you gotta have it. Today,I happened to need it and was close. So I choose here. Driving up,I made mental note of how the grounds were being well taken care of. This is no longer assured,as the USPO by my home let's the weeds and lawn grow shoulder high and it's only 2 years old! Inside I found the same. Very bad experience. The man behind the counter was difficult to understand, and gave me conflicting information. I didn't realize they closed at 4, told the employee I was stepping out to confirm an address (at 3:58) to which all he said was "Okay," and then when I walked back in at 4:01 he asked me if I wanted express. I said yes, but then he said they were closed and I had to go to a different post office. Very rude. I will not be going back to this post office ever. read more

The Asian lady working at the front desk at 3pm on 3/9/26 was extremely rude. I had went to mail off a birthday card and the lobby was packed. So when I finally got to receive a stamp to mail off, she stared feeling the card up and said "what you put in card!" And I told her, "there's a letter with a gift card in it." She then goes on to say "no, no, it feel funny! Me have to run through machine, so I charge you extra!" I told her that she could run it through the machine but I didn't have time to argue with her about her trying to over charge me for sending a simple letter with a gift card in it. (Which I have done many times without a problem until I came to this place) but there was no way I was paying to have it scanned when I've done this multiple times. I just simply rejected her demands and bought a book of stamps, then put it on the card myself, and placed in the drop box outside. Would never recommend going to this place. Forgot to update this and hoping the Asian lady is reading this; I was right and the birthday card was mailed and received. Someone needs to re-train her. read more

Similar bad experience. The Asian customer associate (Helen) was beyond rude, also insisting I had to purchase tape to affix my printed, pre-paid label on the envelope I had *purchased there* before I even approached her. It was about five minutes until closing, and the woman closed the blinds, and asked if I was ready yet. I was still putting together my package and told her so, and she yelled, "We CLOSED!" I explained they weren't closed when I entered. I opted to use adhesive I had from another label to affix my pre-paid label because I refused to buy an entire roll of tape based on her rude behavior. I doubt it will help, as the poor Yelp reviews and complaints about this employee go back at least four+ years, but I did call and file a complaint with the supervisor (844-637-1509). I can't believe she continues to be employed there despite treating customers so poorly. read more

I walked in to drop off a box & this Asian lady said I couldn't drop it off because the box was semi open so I kindly asked if she has tape to close it & she said no but I could buy. This was my worst experience I have ever had since moving to Dallas. The clerk was absolutely the rudest and heartless person I have ever met. I arrived at 4pm. The doors were unlocked and there were three other people in line. My package was completely ready to send. She yelled "SORRY WE CLOSED." I said, "please, my package is completely ready to send, and I walked here with my baby." I had my infant in her stroller, and any mom knows going anywhere with an infant is hard work. She absolutely REFUSED. She said "I am the only one here. Sorry, no." The other customers were staring in shock like I was. This was one of the most embarrassing experiences I have ever had. I have actually decided to never use USPS if I can avoid it, because of this one clerk. read more

If I could list zero stars I would. First of all the Asian lady working behind the desk was yelling at another co worker about the scale not working then yelled at the man in front of me about her frustration of not being able to print him a receipt. She was rude and abrupt. When I finally got to the front of the long line The same lady told me I had the wrong form and started to get agitated with me. I told her that's what they sent so I didn't have the other label. As her aggressive behavior become more and more loud I simply said "hey don't get an attitude with me, this is what they sent". When I turned to leave she screamed "*F** you" to me and told me to never come back. I get that your job sucks but no reason to treat people like shit. I live closer to the post office at Parker & Independence, but I come to this location sometimes based on what part of town I'm in when I need to go to a post office. Reading the other reviews, I will say this... IMO, all post offices will be understaffed due to the lack of adequate funding thanks to the powers that be in the government. Yes, others have said that the employees are rude, but do you honestly believe that they have been taught proper customer service behavior? Look, all of these places are understaffed & therefore the employees are overly stressed. Just roll with it, try to be polite, & be thankful you don't have to work there & go home stressed out every day. read more

Always understaffed. I had a prepaid shipping label and box already taped and ready to send off. I waited patiently for 3 people ahead of me to be done just to be told by an older, heartless Indian man that I needed clear tape to tape my prepaid label. You don't have a couple pieces to spare back there??? He suggested I buy an entire roll of tape just to put the label on there. Ridiculous. I refused to buy an entire roll of tape simply bc of this man's rude demeanor. I went to a shipping store and they taped it up and sent it out for me with no issues - no wait either! read more

This is an older post office first and foremost. The parking is tight, especially since the drive through boxes are right behind the north facing parking spots. Anyway, I use this post office on occasion. It is ALWAYS understaffed, especially during lunch hours 11am-1pm. They rarely have 2 customer service representatives working at once, yet when you are coming or going, you can hear other employees in the back of the PO boxes talking. Regardless, the extremely long lines and stale smelling old building the service is actually OK. My only advice would be to go early or late and prepare to wait. Heck, that should be the USPS new motto: "Go early or go late and prepare to wait!" read more

Wow. Talk about unprofessionalism. The clerk (Asian lady) had the most disrespectful tone towards an elderly customer. As for myself? She refused to mail out my package because "it doesn't follow regulations...you need duct tape and your box can't be wrapped with gift paper too thin". Went to this location to send off a small package. There was only an elderly couple being helped and they were standing to the side filling out papers. Other than them, I was the only one and walked right up to the counter. The lady behind the counter would not help me because I was carrying around my 10lb dog in a bag. She wasn't barking. She wasn't roaming around or getting into anything. She was sitting quietly in the bag. If her head hadn't been poking out, no one would have known she was in there. But the lady said she could not help me because I had my dog. I'm guessing she would rather me leave my dog in the car in this heat. (Side note, for anyone who's thinking "you could've left your dog at home" - my 10lb dog was bitten in the throat by a 40ish lb shepherd mix. She just had surgery and got stitches and I have to watch/monitor her because of how close the bite was to her jugular. So no, I couldn't leave her at home and I had no one to leave her with.) I could understand them not wanting me to bring her inside if she was being obnoxious or loud. But she wasn't. And I did not appreciate being told I couldn't be helped just because I had my dog, who is more quiet and well-behaved than a lot of the children that enter that building. I dropped personally into their box inside of the post office. Recipients mailbox is always locked - mailman has to unlock it to place mail inside and recipient must have key to retrieve it. So only USPS had hands on the small package. It was lost/stolen between this Post Office and Austin Post Office. Neither Post Office takes any responsibility for finding lost package. read more
