I called the day before to the main USPS call center to try to schedule an appointment because their online system is slow and I could not find any appointments in the DFW on a Saturday (which is needed to not pull the children from school). We were told that Plano (this location) is a walk in only service from 9-12 on Saturday. We arrived around 9:40 to find a paper sign on the door stating they only take 12 people per day for passports. There were about 20 in line already. I called the main USPS number again. The representative took the time to look for other locations within 60 miles that have Saturday passport hours. There was not a single location. He gave me the direct number to Plano to see if there was anything they could do, they did not answer the phone and there is no voicemail. Just goes to a busy tone. To only have 12 slots for the entire Dallas area outside of school hours and to not allow for any appointments in those 12 slots is insane and so inefficient. Thank you government that takes my tax money for these services that do not benefit me in any way. read more

They flat out refused to deliver my package but were kind enough to leave a "we missed you" slip (he said sarcastically)! Now they won't even take the redelivery I scheduled for over a week ago and it's hard for me to find time to go down to the PO to pick it up with a newborn baby and my job. I'd like to send a registered letter, saying later that my address is in the wrong place, and then changing it and saying that I used the wrong envelope. There was no expression at all, and the tone was very stiff, completely unlike the smiling and polite way he treated the other guests. This is actually a pretty good post office. Clean inside, well staffed, easy in and out parking lot - unlike many others. Altogether I felt like I had a good experience here. Case in point: I stopped in to mail packages at 11:45 a.m., usually a hellish time to be at the post office (avoid first thing in the morning, lunch or end of day to maintain your sanity). The owner was kind enough to bring it to us. When I called to report this, the same woman I'd been working with who claimed she was the manager stated, "oh so you're not at WRONG ADDRESS?" She refused to apologize for her behavior, including threatening to stop delivering my mail, or to acknowledge in any way that she was a horrible employee who had no right to be a manager. I was in line for over 20 minutes today and watched Paul treat everyone he came into contact with with horrible customer service. Once it was my turn, I had extreme anxiety in being assisted by him because I had quite a few items to mail and wasn't sure if the proper way to help. Paul did not provide any guidance and rudely advised me to get out of line and pointed to a messy area full of mailing items. When I came back after finding things out on my own, he told me I couldn't use the tape I found without explaining why (as if I work here). Paul was so busy reveling in being rude that he forgot to ask me to pay until after I was already walking out of the post office. After paying for my items that I'm sure I could've saved money with the proper assistance, I told him that he was being rude to everyone and this is not how you treat people. He smiled and circled the QR code on the receipt as if he was happy to be reported. There's too many people looking for work to have to go somewhere and be treated this way. They refuse to deliver your package. So they force you to go pick it up and sign up for it online using a QR code that gives you the confirmation number and tracking number and address and your name. Since I lost my pink slip. But had my DL and my confirmation email of my appointment. They refused to take it. They forced me to fill out another slip. Even though they could have just used the confirmation info to hand over my package. They're hostile and purposely make things difficult after forcing you to use online tools they refuse to practice themselves. It's bullshit. read more

Stopped in to help the girlfriend get a passport. Make sure you have an appointment, but the people at the counter are the ones who will be helping you. Fast service and good help! Only complaint, why schedule an appointment for a passport when you still stand in line with those who need stamps or sending packages? Anyways, they do pictures as well, so it's pretty much a one stop shop if you want. Parking was easy in their large lot. I've been to this PO many times in the past, good to see nothing has changed. First of all, I am giving this rating because one of her employees stole an item that I mailed and it was over $500, so that's a felony. So I contacted and filed claims with the police, the US Post Mater General and the USPS police. Unfortunately nothing has been done and my case was closed. I am so disappointed in the person that they employed. This has been a horrible run around process. I will say, anytime I go into this office, they are always so busy and I feel bad for the people behind the counter. I feel like there is only ever 2 or 3 of them and such a long line. I was a little nervous to come to this location today because of previous reviews I had read about the customer service here. However I was in the area and needed to mail a package so this seemed like the most convenient place to come to. First I applaud them for being open on Saturdays something that not all post office locations are able to do. Second this place is amazingly busy and I applaud them for being able to efficiently handle a large crowd with only two people working the front desk. This location also helps people with their passport applications, so if you need a passport I highly recommend them for that. Frankly I think a lot of times the post office gets a bad rap and I think this one has gotten a bad rap from some of the reviews because at least based on my experience this is one of the better ones that I have been to. read more

i don't know if you understand what no postage necessary means, but you can take letters without a stamp on them. my mail has been sitting in mailbox for 3 days and you obviously can't read, because you keep putting mail on top of letters that need to be sent off. not only that if one more neighbor gives me my mail because you can't deliver to correct address, i will make sure you are looking for another job soon. read more

I haven't been using this post office long, but so far my experiences have been far from stellar. First of all the line is practically always out the door. Secondly, when you need to speak with someone about picking up a package it can take up to 20 minutes for someone to come to the door after ringing the bell. Lastly, I used the automated kiosk in the lobby to mail several envelopes. The next day they we ALL (28) returned to my home marked "insufficient postage." ??? A call to the P.O. later I was told they should have been mailed at the (much higher) package rate. ??? They were envelopes under 2 ounces, NOT packages! read more

I have a box here so I visit often however I had a horrible experience a couple weeks ago. I needed to see a worker so that I could see how many stamps I needed for some very important documents that I was sending off. I already had the stamps in my possession just needed to know how many to put on the envelop. The rep calls me over I explain what I need and he just looked at me and kept saying the cash price. I'm totally unaware of what stamps cost individually however my question was "how many stamps do I need to put on the outside of the envelop"? He then proceeded to say "I don't know do the math, I gave you the total"! Very aggressive and dismissive and continues to stare at me. I then said is this not the post office, are you not able to help me figure it out? A customer behind me ended up telling me, I thanked him and told everyone politely to have a nice day. So rude! I wish I would have gotten his name. After pondering on what the worker said I then realized I could have figured it out on my own however I've never been treated like this by a worker when seeking help. Went to this post office for a passport renewal, which I tried to make an appointment over the phone, they said you do not need to make an appointment for a renewal, so when I arrived at the desk the lady said, do you have an appointment which I said no she said in her rude voice "You need an appointment " I was beginning to say I need a renewal only she cut me off and said again "you need appointment". If I could rate them zero, I will. No accountability at all. The employees do not care at all. My package tracking showed package was delivered into my mailbox but package was nowhere to be found. I called and got an automated service request number. An employee called me back, and mentioned there is a picture that shows my package was delivered. I informed her I will gladly come over to the post office to view this so-called picture, she placed me on hold for 55 minutes before she hung up. Her name is Ms. Carter. Worst experience at a post office ever. I went there twice yesterday, got the same guy at the counter both times. There were only two people working the counter, line all the way to the door, and people were continuously waiting in line only to be told that the passport office was closed. The first time I went there I was just buying two boxes. The second time I went, I was rudely told that I had to buy tape to secure my box, meaning I would have to get out of line and go back to the end. Or send expess, in which I would also have to step out of line to fill out a sheet of paper for each box being sent. He was not very good at explaining what I needed to do, and didn't give me any option in which I wouldn't have to wait in the long line again, and he gave me attitude. I left very frustrated, and went to the post office right down the road at 18th St. The woman who HELPED me there was a great surprise after my last experience. She clearly told me what I needed to do, and gave me an option to step to the side and finish what I needed to do, and then she would help me next. I had a great experience but, while awaiting my passport appointment I noticed many things that could be better. At least 2 of the clerks had accents that were very difficult for customers to understand and with the masks added there were people who had to ask other workers to get the answers they needed. The passport area is in the corner and anyone's first time basically waited in line for however long just to be pointed to the area. One visible sign would save many hours of wasted time. There were 3 people that had questions about making a passport appointment and were pointed to the passport area. All 3 came to that area and opened drawers and cabinets trying to find what the clerk was talking about and 2 of them had to get back in line for clarification. Apparently, there is a sign that had a phone number on it. I think an easy "the sign over there has the passport scheduling information you need" would work great. It is almost like the clerks were trying to be cryptic just to see customers open every cabinet and drawer for fun. If this happened 3 times in the 45 minutes I was there awaiting an appointment then I guarantee it probably happens 20 times a day. Also, while I was observing, multiple arguments broke out between customers and clerks. A customer care class is needed for these workers because their people skills are horrific. Each incident I witnessed could have been handle in a way that would have led to NO argument and a satisfied customer. Passports - as I said, I had a great experience but I do have recommendations. The gentleman doing passports should acknowledge people waiting outside with a "how is your day?" or are you waiting for an appointment?" or "I'll be with you as soon as I can"...or something other than avoiding eye contact when he comes and goes. There was also a good 45 minutes where there were no customers in the passport office. If there are canceled appointments why don't they fill the spots as best they can...3 people arrived begging for an appointment and 45 minutes of no one in the office seemed like a huge waste. There were good and great interactions as well but I see why the reviews are averaging 2 stars. My advice is to replace workers with new customer-friendly people that actually want to be there and conduct customer service training. read more

I really like this location. It gets a little busy but the employees do well in trying to help each customer as best they can. I only waited in line for a few minutes but I was greeted at the counter with a big smile and like 3 apologies. My apartment building is no longer accepting packages (totally frustrating) & I was at this location to pick up the package that USPS had already attempted to deliver. My package was found right away, the person who assisted knew exactly which apartment building I was coming from and apologized profusely for any inconvenience to me (my apartment building is at fault for the inconvenience). Let me start by saying that I've never had a bad experience with the clerks who handle stamps, shipping, packages etc. But the service at the pick up window is another story. This review is based solely on the rude & unprofessional woman (middle aged at youngest, fair skin, short blonde hair, has an accent) that was at the pick up window at 11:50am Saturday January 16, 2021. I received an email via USPS that a package I requested to intercept was successful & that I would be charged for the interception. That was on JANUARY 4. I read online that once intercepted, they will hold the package for an extended period of time (which I was still in the time range when I came in).The woman proceeded to tell me there was no such package. She asked for my ID so she could search for my address & when she came back, said it was returned it to sender on December 25th because it had no address. First of all, I don't believe that there was no address because I spoke to the business owner personally & she didn't understand why it wouldn't be delivered. Second, I never received any notification that my package was supposed to be picked up. & lastly, the post office isn't even open for me to pick it up on Xmas if I knew that was the last day to retrieve it. Once again, I stated that I have an email that clearly says it was sent on JANUARY 4 that the package is in their possession. She was very dismissive & said her supervisor was busy (I didn't even ask for a supervisor) & when I asked if she knew I could request a refund with USPS since they basically lied about having my package she proceeded to tell me no, my supervisor is busy right now can I take the next person? & looked passed me to speak to the next person even though they were patiently waiting so I could finish. She wouldn't make eye contact & was extremely rude. She had an attitude that seemed to get worse through out the interaction. LADY...I WASN'T asking for your supervisor but I wish I did so I could inform them about how bad you are at providing quality customer service. YOU work for USPS so you should know the protocol for these types of issues. The way she spoke to me with such attitude & disregard was disgusting. I am switching my whole family over to a better location. I refuse to let anyone I care about deal with that nonsense. read more

This place by far is the WORST place you can EVER go to. The people who work here are extremely rude and condescending. I came to renew my passport and one of the workers informed us that you wait in line to apply for a passport, but if you're renewing one, then you go to the desk. So naturally, I went to the desk and left my spot in line because I was renewing my passport, not applying for one. When I got to the desk, the same guy went ahead and said, "Oh. This is 5 years, not 10 years. Go over to that line." That was the first incident. The second incident occurred when he left his spot to talk to a coworker next to him about something funny that happened yesterday. I'm fine with them socializing, but there were people waiting in line and instead of helping the customers, he went off and talked to his coworkers while the rest of us waited. The third incident was when I was getting my paperwork done. My total was around 150 and I had given him two 100 dollar bills, and he asked me for 51.25$ because I owed him and when I explained to him that I had given him $200, he asked me if I was sure, as if I wasn't aware of the amount I gave him. His associate had to inform him that she did indeed saw me give him $200 and that's the ONLY reason he believed me. And after that, he gave me the incorrect change and argued with me that he didn't. I had the change still in my hand and the receipt but he was soooo convinced that I was wrong. It's astounding how horrible his customer service was. Do not go here. Ever. read more

Just take whatever you want to mail (and the money that you were going to pay for shipping) and flush it down the toilet. Getting something delivered? Just go ahead and call your credit card and report the item lost. Think you are a victim of mail theft? They will not even answer the phone to assist you. AND when you put your mail on temporary hold, so your expected items are just kept at the facility....Prepare to get scolded for wasting their precious time. If I am FORCED to use the post office, I will get it sent to my office, so it has a MUCH better shot of actually arriving. read more

They might as well have appointments for passport services. Customer service does not exist in this place. One person taking the mail and he's also the one who processes the passports. We came here with my toddlers (2 and 4) at 11:00am, with only four customers ahead of us. WE WAITED FOR AN HOUR ONLY TO BE INFORMED THAT THEY ARE NOT TAKING ANYMORE APPLICATIONS. Paul is a very bad customer service clerk. I have to Come to this PO daily. I came 4 days in a row using a business card no problems, got Paul and waited 30 minutes to be told I couldn't use it and I called to let the CFO tell him I have permission he said he didn't care I didn't have a letter to show I can use a business card. I asked for the Post Master he said she will not help me either pay by debit or pay with my card I did. Then I had a package to ship the next day went out the way to another post office didn't have it taped the clerk tapped it for me free. The next day I came back to Jupiter PO try it again and they make me use priority tape costing 10.00 more. This is very sad to see them struggling but this is the reason the post office is loosing to UPS and Fed Ex. And they could care less about losing their jobs. read more

I waited outside the door to pick up my package for 20 mins and then the lady who opened the door started yelling at me that she was on the phone. I absolutely hate this post office. If they would just use the parcel lockers on my apartments property (which is right beside the mailboxes) to deliver the packages I wouldn't have been there in the first place. Getting things through the mail is supposed to be a convenience. Not a screaming session. Today was March 3 2018 @ 10:50 she was on staff in the package room.
