The trapdoor on the drop off box has never worked. Now my package is stuck and It'll likely be damaged once unstuck. Thanks again USPS!!!!

Came here to ship off a pre-paid package. Arrived 10 mins before closing and the line was average with 4 people ahead of me. The staff member behind the counter was very helpful in explaining to me which stickers I should remove from the box and replacing a new one over the old sticker. I was in and out in less than 10 mins. Very efficient and easy process and wait time. read more

Are you kidding me? This government office is a disgrace. The place looks shabby and ill-kept. The staff looks miserable. The operating hours are a joke. Why on earth do they close for an hour for lunch when they are only open for 6 hours?? You appreciate our business?? Perhaps you should tell your staff! read more

United States Post Office - Sign outside the post office - Post Offices Near Me - Broadlands, Virginia

Waited in line to clarify what envelope to use and the woman at the desk got me the right one. She made sure I got everything i needed! I felt like the line went by in good time without even considering there was only one person working. She was straight forward yet helpful and attentive, no complaints about my visit! read more

This post office in the broadlands is the worst I have ever been to. I wait at least 20 minutes to be served even if no one is there because they are understaffed (usually 1 disgruntled employee). Customers come with so many questions as if it's their first time in a post office. For example, one lady decided to put 5 stamps on each of her 150 envelopes right at the desk. Please be considerate of others! The people who work here obviously don't want to be there and are so unfriendly. The door to get in is terribly heavy and the place is old and dirty. For being the richest county, this post office is the worst and needs to be updated, have better hours, and have a more friendly staff. Avoid if possible! read more

Went there the other day. What a disgusting place. The windows are filthy, floors are dirty, so unkempt. I went there about a year ago and it was the same way. When I got there the sign said they were closed for lunch from 2 to 3. One hour!! Wow!! And they are raising the price of mailing items. How does this post office get away with looking like a dump? Who is in charge of it? read more

Dread having to do any business here... the slowest and worst service. Should close these down and put in mom and pop shop. Seriously only one person working here. SLOW SLOW SLOW. read more

I have been to this post office several times. Sometimes the staff there are helpful and other times they are not. If you need specific instructions for sending packages, the customers around you are more helpful than the staff in my opinion The hours of operation are ridiculous. They are open only for 5 hours. Mon-Fri : 11 am-2 pm, 3pm-5 pm ( Lunch break from 2-3 pm) Sat: 9 am -12 noon Sundays and Holidays: Closed Also the package/Envelope weighing and postage stamp dispensing machine in the front lobby malfunctioned because I weighed a package( document) and pasted the required postage and went inside the post office for something else. The staff looked at my package and weighed it again and said it needed additional postage and proceeded to stick the additional stamps. Why is this happening? Somehow I don't like the experience there. I just go there only because it is closer to my house read more

I was in here recently trying to send a package to my brother who's serving in the military overseas. He recently reached out to us and asked us to send him a box full of items he misses from the states. It was absolutely my pleasure to do so for him. However, USPS really made the entire process of sending packages to our troops to be cumbersome and honestly unfriendly . It was my first time, and I really needed somebody to explain the process to me, and they basically were completely unhelpful. In fact, the woman that worked there was borderline rude. Finally another customer felt sorry for me and saw how the woman was acting and basically helped me out with directions. I ended up going to another delivery service and paying triple the rate. The bill ended up being $270 but it was worth it to actually have decent service and someone to help me send the package. USPS is the main delivery service to send packages to our military, they have to do a better job than this. It's shameful that they're only connection to their family is marred through poor customer service. read more

I discourage anyone from using this office. It's legitimately the worst post office I've ever encountered across the country. Shortest business hours I've ever seen, (5 hours) closed from 2-3, two extremely annoyed and unfriendly workers that honestly seem intent on working at a snails pace. My packages are never received in 2-3 business days even though that's what I pay for. I work next door and often send my two military kids packages and it is ALWAYS the biggest hassle. You wait and wait and wait. It's a hot mess of a branch, messy and dirty and just simply a poor excuse for a post office. If you can, avoid this place. read more

This "business" is a laugh and a half. Plan on arriving when you have 30-40 min to spare because there's only 1 employee working and the lines are past the door. The hours of operation are a joke. Ashburn is a decently sized city and it's as if they dropped this half ass effort to serve the folks here. I'd expect this sort of ordeal in a remote town in Kansas. Note to customers - insure to bring your outgoing packages ready to simply drop off. Waiting for you to write out address and packaging is annoying and only adds to this circus show. read more

Terrible customer service. They have lost my packages several times. And refused to give me a receipt when dropping off.

doesn't really surprise me that this place has a 1 star rating. walked in and used the machine to scan my postal code at around 4:57, but the machine was giving me an issue so i tried walking inside the room where you can talk to someone and give them your box to ship but they locked me out, someone who was walking out asked if they could let me in and the worker said "no tell him we're closed". the customer in front of me who was using the self service machine before i did walked in the room only a minute before i tried walking in. ended up having to go to the one in sterling where the customer service door was open and self service machine worked fine read more

If I can give no star at all, I will. This office sucks! There was only 1 person on the counter and the line was freaking long! I went here to pick up a package because the mailman left a note that nobody was available to receive the delivery, but I was home all day and nobody rang the dang doorbell!!! How can they say nobody was home??!!! Aaannnd, didnt put anything when available to pick it up at the office and so I went the same day I got the notice, guess what?! The packAge is still with the mailman!!!! Uuughh infuriating!!! read more

Very good service. Friendly & helpful. Cards, shipping materials & hand made small items also.

Rated one star because I have to leave a star to leave a review. They hate their jobs. They lock the door a few minutes early and if you're there to drop off a package that won't fit in the dropbox the lady will bite your head off about it and tell you to come back tomorrow. Then today I saw some poor confused man trying to talk to them and the Lady said "you have to come back tomorrow we're closed! The only reason you got in here is because someone was holding the door open as they were leaving." The man kept trying to talk and she just kept saying "we're closed come back tomorrow, we're closed come back tomorrow, we're closed." It's absolutely disgusting. We are all just humans trying to get stuff done and if she doesn't want to be there she needs to go work somewhere else. I took care of patients for ten years and I wouldn't have been able to keep a job if I talked to people like that. But I guess the post office doesn't care read more

Lunch from 2-3 ? This is a business and the hours are crazy. The front door won't even open ! The employees could do with a customer service refresher course. read more

Let me be the first and hopefully the last to review this: Pros: small postage store, located near the steakhouse, most staff is nice, customers know what they want Cons: terrible hours (M-F 11-2, 3-5, S 9-12), small store (if there's a line, be prepared to be attacked by flying elbows), Saturday = line, only 1 person working the front. If you have to come here, pray there's no line! read more

This is probably the poorest run post office in the country. Very limited hours, rude staff who obviously hate their job. Lines are always long as they never have enough workers and the workers they have deliberately move very slowly. It's a nightmare and has been for years. The only reason I go there is when I have to because I get a mail note left on my door. Otherwise, I gladly pay more to use a professional privately owned mail service. read more

Unfortunately, staff is consistently rude and make customers feel like they are a burden to them. For others who feel the same way, I suggest filing specific complaints on their website: https://emailus.usps.com/emailUs/iq/usps/request.do?forward=emailUs read more

I come to this USPS store a lot for my shipments, and my experience here is typically the same as always. I like to go right after they reopen post-lunch break because I figured that there will be less people. And of course, I am wrong every time. There's usually a line of people waiting by the time I get there, even though I come early. After the post office opens again, the line moves pretty slowly. The clerk is nice, but she likes to take her time. Definitely do not recommend coming here if you are in a rush. Of course, they always try to push insurance, which I respectfully decline every time. I am giving this place a 2-star because I think that there needs to be other employees working the front desk. I feel like I spend a lot of time waiting in line, even when there are only a couple of people in front of me. I think it would be wise to perhaps open up another location in Ashburn, seeing as this place can get quite crowded. read more

The worst. Never answer phones. Not particularly friendly. A simple question I had to ask which could be answered over phone rather than standing in line. For two day, phone rings and disconnects without any message. read more

Post offices aren't going to be super speedy! They helped me in a matter of 10 minutes! Not bad. It was my first time shipping a package and the lady was very helpful and I could use their tape and boxes for free. Will be going back again. They probably only have few workers cause not a lot of people around here want to work there. Could use more employees but other than that- great experience! read more

The previous reviewer was wrong in two instances. 1) That reviewer will not be the last to review this. 2) That reviewer gave it two stars. This post office sucks. Anyone in the 20148 that gets the awful news that they need to pick something up must go here. The hours are so strange (see previous review, I can't remember, but they take lunch when you take lunch). You need to bring your phone, a charger, some snacks, and clear your schedule should you intend to mail something or pick something up from here. This would be a good time to knock out a chapter of your Rosetta Stone. While there are two stations for mailing things, I believe one of them is fake, as I've never seen more than one disgruntled postal employee there at one time. I have been ten times, and each time I go, the line is just a little bit longer. There's a pack and ship place down the strip mall beyond the awful Safeway, and whatever the premium is to send it from there is well worth your time. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Horrible customer service. Clerk was very rude and unhelpful. We get it, you close at 5 pm. That gives you no right to be mean and yell at customers. Think about how many people work 9-5s and still provide good service, while the hours for this post office are from 11am-2pm and 3-5pm. Would highly recommend reconsidering your staffing and hiring new people. read more

Would give a zero stars if I could. Worst experience with customer service. There was an African American woman by the name of Marilynn (2nn). She had such an attitude for no reason. Became impatient saying I had removed my credit card too soon (chip card) When I gave her an attitude back insisting that I had not taken out the card, she quieted down. What's with people who have no desire or idea about customer service. Needs to be moved to the back office where she doesn't have to be with customers. Really bad impression. UPDATE: I noticed that several people had complaints about the same person, but clearly she didn't care because there were no repercussions. So I went to the USPS website and put in a complaint. So if you want the post office to take notice and do anything, put in a complaint in their own website. read more

UPDATE! So because of the lazy, incompetent workers at this crappy post office, I have LOST my guaranteed shipping status with eBay for this month. If you are an eBay seller, DO NOT take your items to ship here. They will destroy your reputation. read more

Love that they have an automated machine to use, especially off hours. How convenient

I opened a PO box here online. What a mistake! I wish I had opened one a few doors down at Postal Masters where the customer service is friendly and fast. The Broadlands USPS has repeatedly provided rude and abrupt service with misinformation about overnight mailing and opening a PO box. The employees definitely need customer service training and education about what forms the customers need to fill out. I wasted 45 minutes of my life here today read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The hours are atrocious. Forget coming here if you work, you won't ever get there when they are open for business. The staff are rude. I came in at 530 pm on my way to work and I realize they close at 5 pm. However, I wanted to use the self service machine and they had little to no supplies. All I needed was some tape to tape up my box. You would have thought I asked for a kidney. They were rude and kept telling me they were closed. I said I realize that but you have no supplies of the self service machine which is technically still open. The woman stuck her arm out of the door to give me tape and then proceeded to ignore me. I will NOT be coming back here as this isn't my only unpleasant experience. read more

Staff is just rude. The other day a woman's 5-6 year old was checking out the greeting cards and took one out to look at it, and the woman behind the counter lost her shit andd started scolding the mother in front of the whole line. Chill out read more

Whyyy are most USPS employees so upset. They literally make you feel like you are inconveniencing them to help you with a service. Both the ladies behind the counter where just mad. It's always night and day from UPS. Don't expect a smile at this office or to be honest any help. read more

This Post Office location is really hit or miss. Sometimes they'll have agents at all of the counters and firing on all cylinders. The line moves quickly and things are pleasant enough. Other times, there will be a line going through the door (inside the building) and one person grumpily working the line. I do not understand the staffing logic. Sometimes the people working are friendly. Sometimes they are miserable. I don't blame them, but it is annoying when people act like I'm a hassle for them having to do their job. read more

The absolute worst customer service ever. There's a lady that works there that treated me so poorly, and for absolutely no reason at all. I came in holding two boxes, with two kids, clearly trying to juggle it all, and she was super rude. We waited in line patiently and quietly, and when we got to the front of the line she said we couldn't use the box we had to ship things. I asked if I could buy a box and she told me I needed to "get it together" before wasting her time. Awful. She's been there each time I've gone and has been rude each time. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This place is unacceptable. Where is the USPS? Why is no one reading these reviews? Why don't they care? The wait time is horrible. On the occasions I've been, it's the same female cashier at the front. No one else. The building is silent behind her. There needs to be a young man popping out to help or something. I've only had to come here when picking up some missed package. It'd probably be more convenient to have someone steal the items off my porch than to deal with this place again. read more

The hours aren't the greatest and it can take a while if there is a line, but overall I've had good experiences here. With post office locations closing all over the country, I feel lucky that there is still one so close to my house. I try to use the self serve kiosk as much as possible, it's always available even when the main office is closed. There are usually only two people working at a time, but I have aways found them to be very helpful. They have to keep the line moving, which may rub some people the wrong way, but I get why they won't hold things up for someone while they fix something on their package. read more

Worst post office ever and if possible even worse customer service. Walked in today to send something and also pay for prepaid return. Is prepaid return no longer a thing????? Lady told me she couldn't do that and that I had to go to the post office (?????? Am I not IN THE POST OFFICE???) or the kiosk. Kicker-Did the SAME EXACT THING TWO WEEKS AGO and SHE was the one that helped me. She rolled her eyes at me etc. I finally gave up and said I would go somewhere else. I feel like I walked in and out of crazy town with that lady. Time to find a job that doesn't require customer service friend. Wow! The absolute worst. Will gladly drive further to another location or better yet, UPS. They are more reliable anyway. read more

Worst USPS ever. If you are coming here, plan on setting aside at least 30 minutes. In fact I am writing this review as I wait in line... Just awful. I always dread coming here. read more

The absolute worst! I will use the Leesburg post office from now on. I've lived in Broadlands for seven months and I've visited this establishment only three times, but every single time they're unfriendly and their hours are terrible. Who opens at 11 AM?! I'm always made to feel stupid because I'm using the wrong shipping envelope or whatever, but there's never anyone to ask! And when I do I basically get scolded. Two women that work here in particular are very rude. read more

The one clerk who works here is exceedingly nice. That being said, there needs to be at least one additional person to help her out. This zip code is growing rapidly. I'm sure it contributes more than its fair share of revenues. read more
