I have reported him numerous times to his supervisor. He retaliates with he receives negative feedback. For example, I broke my leg and receive numerous packages. He purposely put my packages in the bottom locker when other lockers higher were available. He knew there was no way I could bend over to get them. I have had a PO box for years and if a package comes with my street address he sends it back and I only find out when the vendor sends me a receipt and credits my payment method. It's not like we live in a metropolis. He could easily accept the package for me. I find this behavior inexcusable. Our taxes are paying his salary! If you need other examples of his inept management of the Hamilton post office, I will be more than happy to comply. His predecessor, Debbie, was absolutely WONDERFUL and I miss her helpful demeanor and kindness to provide over-the-top service.

This job is literally hell on earth from day one. The management is by far the worst people in the world. The other carrier are the only decent people but everyone would gladly throw you under the bus to save there ass. The have very strict and unreasonable expectations that put you and others at risk. If you don't meet those unreasonable and impossible expectations you get threatened and abused repeatedly. They have a horrible turnover rate and lay people off without notice for absolutely nothing. I was laid off 5 days before my 90 day ended and was never given a reason why. My post master became hostile and my supervisor was horrible and two faced. The pay was a little better but not worth the nightmare that you put up with daily and the lack of job security. CCAs havs worked there for some years and never get hired on as regular and quit generally before it will ever happen. They preach about safety but the pack the most dangerous vehicles full of mountains of mail and parcels that logistically cannot fit in the LLV. If anyone reading this is considering this opportunity there is a reason they keep on hiring! They are desperate beyond belief and they let tons of people go. Don't let them pull the same crap as they did to me as they will do to you. Keep you sanity!

This stately…read morebrick post office was originally built in 1939 and has been refurbished, keeping the integrity of the period in mind. Some of the deterioration of the crown moulding on the outside of the structure had to be specially crafted to match the rest of the authentic moulding. Inside there are many original brass fixtures and mail slots, post boxes, wooden doors, desks and podiums. One unique feature of this post office is the huge mural of Clifton farm painted by a local artist of that period, E.S. Lewis. Dubbed "New Deal Art" from1939, as Franklin Roosevelt's effort to end the Great Depression, it's one of only 2 murals of its kind in the area. A plaque dedicating the building is displayed next to the post office counter. A knowledgeable and friendly postal worker informed me of the historic value of this post office! Built in 1807, this post office has been registered as a Virginia historic landmark. It's interesting to read the history of Alexander Spotswood appointed as deputy general postmaster of America. I love all the stone walls and architecture in this area near Winchester, Loudoun County, Clarke County and along the countryside. Keeping with the aesthetic of the era, Upperville post office doesn't disappoint. It's small structure packs a punch with an eyelid dormer perched on the roof, a wrought iron gate, stately wooden columns, surrounded by lush trees and foliage with a cozy wooden bench nestled amongst the beautiful landscaping. Inside is just as quaint as the outside. Old brass post boxes line the walls awaiting to be filled by the postman. This post office serves the community of Upperville and provides the typical services, although no passport service. The hours are M-F 9:00-12:00, 1:00-5:00 and Sat. 9:00-12:00.
