I'm giving it a 3 stars. Would have given 5 stars but unfortunately the skate helpers are a nuisance! When it was Cal Skate clovis kids were told at the start of the session to stay to the right if they were inexperienced skaters. United skate makes no effort to control the traffic even though there are two people monitoring the floor at a time. It's a hazard waiting to happen and sucks the fun out of skating for the experienced skaters! Not sure if I'll return as it's a waste of 3 hours trying to navigate through the madness! I love this place I used to come all the time when I was a kid when it was Cal Skate. Now I am bringing my kids here. The remodel is great. Love the arcade. The food is whatever not the best. I would not order any food here. I prefer to eat else where before I come. Any who I had my daughters 7th bday party here on Jan4th. I got her the VIP Package. Let me tell you was it super duper packed. It was so crowded it was not enjoyable to even skate anymore. The lines and the wait time for my guest to receive their skates was way too long. It was overwhelming, and most of my guest it was there first time there. So not the best experience. There was a assigned party host for my daughters party. I did have to help her out a lot, as far as getting refills on the soda, asking for cups plates, etc. I think maybe they need to assign maybe 2 party host for a VIP party cauSe it seemed like to much work for this poor girl. I think her name was Stephanie. But I did have to help her do her job so it did take my time away from my guest. On the positive side my daUghter did have fun, she loved her trip To the dj booth, she got to spin the wheel, and she loved the cotton candy towers. My personal opinion when you have 6 or more Bday parTies reserved why not keep it private. It was just way too overwhelming with the crowd and it was so hot inside. Great place for family outings, food are above average . Their wings are surprisingly excellent ! Better than wildwings. Customer service are pretty good, the concession attendance can use some improvement with their attitude. Dj And his music picking skills are in a great taste the whole family enjoyed it . it is very cheap to get inside but it is totally worth it! My kids love coming here. If you have little ones who don't know how to skate they have a little bar in the shape of a v that rolls where they go and it will help them not fall as much. read more

Employees aren't rude but there aren't enough of them. There is no reason for it to take 25 minutes to get inside after it opens, nor should it take almost half an hour to get a slice of pizza. Yes its remodeled a little bit. The rink is smaller and they painted the floor. The floor is horable and rough. Yes there is more seating and more games but that is about it. I have been coming here since I was a kid and now they cut the skating size down and make it harder to have fun. My husband tried on their cheap new roller blades and could bot even make it out on the floor because they were made of cheap plastic that hurt his foot from the first step. The skating aids are cool but they should just have the new skaters on the outter side of the rink and those who knew how to skate use the middle. Kind of disappointed. After paying $50 for 4 of us to skate I was ready to go home. read more

Customer service is wack asf . honestly . the staff is sooooo poor and unprofessional . They are rude and seriously aren't any help at all. This place is money hungry and the pizza is nasty asf. Plus it isn't a clean place. There arcade section don't work and will just take the tokens. I went here for the first session( mind u i thought we could stay there till we decided to leave. apparently not ) and i decided i wanted to skate. BUT they did not tell me that the first session was almost done . they still let me rent skates and by the time i went back they were kicking everyone out for the second session. mind u , you pay AGAIN if u want to stay. I would love to not rate this place at all. I used to skate at cal skate many times and was excited to try out the opening of this new place, but god I was wrong..the rink is ridiculous, it's rough, not smooth like it used to be and has many chips in the floor. When passing these chips in the floor, it was covered in a puddle of water..WEIRD. When we walked into the place, the front desk people were so RUDE. I know the person who owns this new place and if I could I would let them know to their face that this is not an improvement, will NEVER go back. With the kids having these helping walkers with them, in my opinion it makes it more of a hazard for the experienced skaters, and takes out the fun for those who really know how to skate..DONT waste your damn money, you'll be upset!! read more

Before they opened, I spoke with the manager and I asked if they would be enforcing stricter rules than the previous owner of Clovis Skate. The person noted that they would. This is the second time I have been here and it is a free for all. Kids skating in wring direction without any supervision, parents on the floor in street shoes with their cell phones out, and these death traps that pose as skating aids. It's a shame. The single referee out on the floor could care less. It's a nice place, but it sucks for skaters. They need to keep this who don't know how to skate at the outer wall, like they did when I was learning to skate.the problem with the free for all nature is that is offers no encouragement for the kids to improve their skills so that they can skate more freely. Maybe it's a generational thing, but I'd prefer to see some minimal rules at least. read more

The place looks way better than it used to. (One Star for that) the arcade area is nice.. new games & a lot of cool prizes with prices on them so you can buy them outright instead of killing yourself for tickets (another star for that). The food (we got fries & chicken strips) was horrible. They were burnt, then the cashier tried giving us another set of burnt chicken strips. We asked for a refund and they gave attitude about that. I've been skating at this facility since the days of Roller Town and this is a sad new reality for Clovis. Employees have incredibly poor attitudes despite giving them warm smiles and even compliments to try and bring some positivity out of them. Some of them are in tennis shoes on the skate floor (we were told that "they're not all good at skating, so some just walk") making an actual hazard on the floor (pedestrians aren't allowed on the highway for a reason!). We're here for Christian music night and about a third of the songs have been decidedly NOT Christian (the Cure anyone?) and those that are are being spun by a DJ that doesn't know how to prevent two songs from playing at once. I don't think one person working here has smiled a single time the whole evening. The patrons are not much more than an inconvenience to the staff. It's just not the same as it's been...so sad to have lost what Roller Town and Cal-Skate used to be. As a side note, they also now require all guests to wear wrist guards. They don't sell them to be able to purchase your own pair so you have no choice but to wear someone else's hand-funk. No waiver to sign and opt out. read more

We were regulars at Cal Skate and patiently waited for the grand opening of United Skate. Once opened, my entire family became regulars coming two to three times a week since opening. I absolutley loved it, past tense. The management has no consistency. One person has one set of rules and others have an entirely different set. It's getting to a point that I am not sure I want to continue coming. I bring my infant normally and was encouraged to bring a stroller to push her around. Then suddenly on a completely dead day with maybe 10 total skaters in the building, I am told its issue for today but was ok when the same manager was present on a busy night with over 100 people in the building. This is only one of about 10 things that one person enforces as a rule that someone else doesn't. It makes for bad business and shows very poor communication within the organization. Questioning if my two to three times a week will be continuing. read more

I go rollerskating with my daughter every week and we are from out of town, but my parents live here so we wanted to try it. The new company did a great job of painting and replacing carpet! The staff seem very professional and organized especially when it comes to birthday parties. I wish all rinks were like this! read more

Horrible service!!! We came for a party! The party line was so slow as the cashier wasn't sure on what to do on many different problems!! Took us 10 mins after she ran back and fourth to ask questions!!! The snack bar was expensive and "ran out of many items" ranch, pretzels ect!! The birthday party we attended had a host who didn't know what to do she stood around and stared !! Took us 5 times reminding her we still haven't got our pizzas not drinks! Finally after almost 2 hours the kids got their pizza!!!! Our cotton candy tour never arrived !!! It got delivered to a different party and that party gave it away!!!! Went for a birthday party. It's so much better than the old Cal Skates! It reminds me of back in the days when the school would give us free tickets. (Back when it was called Roller Town) Song selections are so much better!!! My 1 year old did not want to leave the skating ring. They had a holder for little ones that you can rent for $5 and so worth it. Food is actually real food and not those microwaveable ones the previous owner had. Also, the kids enjoyed the new arcade games. I'm so glad someone bought this place and remodeled it. I hope it stays here for a long time! It was a great experience and no doubt we would come back here again over and over. read more

Good song selection, and I imagine the workers there are fine. However, on my recent trip, I was aided by a worker named Justine. Though she was cordial, she almost looked like she was glaring at us, and sighed heavily while working, as though she did not want to be there. It was disheartening, and quite frankly unnerving. I hope she was simply having a bad day, and that would explain the attitude, but all in all, it was absolutely awful customer service and my younger siblings were upset from it. read more

Let me start off by say some of their workers need to be trained on customer service skills..although I wont say all workers there are bad ,but the bad ones r shining more than the good ones and that's not good...I had went back Saturday night because prior to this visit, my sister had a horrible bday party where I would say just being a guest was the worst one at a place of business..the general manager Isaac(I believe) gave my sister some cards to come back with skate rentals included which he threw in..so now we go..Well all I can say is luckily he was there to help because his little worker Allen was no help,but more of a little smart ass..if I had him as a worker lets say he wouldn't be working with the customer service he has..I am not gonna let Allen's rude service stop me from going I do hope as I go I see they work on there customer service and organization..if not they wont be there very long..I can say we did appreciate how Isaac helped us but managment needs to train the workers to be alot friendlier and move with a sense of urgency I mean come on they are working at a place were people wanna go have a good time..smiles can go a long way just saying...the better the service the more money they will make instead of losing out on by having to comp for all that goes wrong..the workers need to have a leader on the floor going to each station making sure all is running smoothly..its hard to do when you have management working on a station instead of walking around being present..hoping for better on my nxt visit...if not guess it was fun while it lasted read more
