Dropped by here to try the Aladdin themed room and had a great time! We were a group of 5 and all agreed that the room was better than we thought it would be. All the other themes they have look fun and it's cool to know it's all made by the family. We are excited to come back and try the other rooms. Also, I noticed quite a few reviews about their staff. Luckily our game master (younger woman, sadly forgot her name already) was super nice and energetic! That said, I still have a few critiques: -The room was pretty small for five adults. We couldn't all fit in some parts of the room and had to take turns. It says it accommodates up to 8 but I definitely wouldn't try that. -You don't ask for clues here like at other escape rooms. They give it when they think we need it. We thought it was a bit interesting and maybe that it would be more challenging but turns out it was the opposite. We feel like we got a ton a clues (10+) that maybe didn't need to come to us. Feels like that gave us a W for free. read more

Visited Unlock on Saturday with my escape group as we continued our escape room adventures. Unlock was the only Fresno/Clovis location left that we hadn't visited so we decided to hit them up and try out all 3 of their current rooms. Alice and the White Rabbit - well designed room, lot of interesting things to see in the room and it has a nice touch of inspiration from the movie. We enjoyed the puzzles and found the room to be moderately difficult but very fun. Do You Want to Build a Snowman - our favorite room of the 3, it's decorated well and has some unique and interesting puzzles. We enjoyed the atmosphere, decorations and the fun puzzles this room brought, it even has a surprise or two and it's the one we enjoyed the most and were talking about on the way home. Spells and Charms - full disclosure, this room is DIFFICULT. This is one of the more difficult escape rooms we've ever done. It felt like it took a while just to get started with the first puzzle or two as we felt lost. The room itself is fantastic in the decoration and atmosphere and has some really unique elements but it is very very difficult and definitely not for inexperienced groups. We escaped the other 2 but came up short here. Pros: the rooms are decorated very well, some of the puzzles are unique and interesting, the staff was very friendly and helpful, easy to find the location and parking is abundant. Cons: not a fan of the clue system here, they slide clues under the door and knock on the door. A lot of other locations are more modern in their clue systems using TV's or screens in the room to present clues to you faster and more direct instead of waiting for the clue to be written out, walked over to your room and slipped under the door, if the clue wasn't helpful or clear you had to wait for another. The other con is these rooms contain a ton of lock. In all the rooms we have visited we've never seen so many locks. There were 15+ locks in the first two rooms for sure and we didn't finish the 3rd room so who knows how many that one had lol. It's not a terrible thing but it's definitely frustrating dealing with so many locks instead of having some other puzzle elements in the room. Overall, a very good experience and we'll visit again when they get some new rooms. I'd recommend it for anyone escape room lovers just be wary of Spells and Charms unless you're a Harry Potter fanatic that just wants to see the room or an experienced/strong group. read more

A bit of background: my family and I have done probably over 20 escape rooms over several years. We did the Indiana Jones themed room (one of the difficult rooms) and generally enjoyed it and escapes it with 10 minutes to spare. It has a LOT of locks in it which I've come to not enjoy as much as other interactive tech rooms. PROS: room was well-designed, had a logical flow, clues given when stuck, game master Summer was really nice. CONS: needed flashlights for most of it and they were so dim and hard to keep pressed to stay on, way too many manual locks that I was getting lost. I normally won't do rooms that have lots of locks anymore. One of our party had never done an escape room before and she enjoyed it and was very critical to our escape. She wasn't as bothered by all the locks. So if you don't mind locks too much, you'll enjoy it! read more

Room was great. Customer service need improvement. Staff is not friendly, always feel rush from the time we step in the place. My son 1st time and wanted a picture taken from our phone after we finished, but being rushed out and said it will be posted in facebook. We had way better experience at other escape room. We loved our experience here at Unlock. I have done many escape rooms around the valley and beyond, and this is one of the best! Our game master was awesome, attentive, funny, and super helpful. My family had a blast, and we plan to come back to do all the other rooms. I loved the clever way that they delivered clues, and the room was very high tech and beautiful. They even helped me get a discount, and closed our room for us so it would be private and no others could join our group. All I had to do was message them on Facebook. I enjoyed the room that we were in! It was recommended to have at least 4 people in that room, however, it was super cramped (by design) and we struggled to all fit as it were. We didn't escape but it was still very fun. My son (12) was very into it. The woman who let us into the building, however, didn't seem very happy to have us there. She must've been in a mood that day because she came across as more cold towards us than welcoming. I was truly disappointed in that because my son had been looking forward to this for months. Also, we struggled for a good 15 minutes on a puzzle only to find out later on that one of the codes was wrong in the room. I kept saying it out loud so she could hear and in case it wasn't right. She eventually gave us the code under the door. She later told us that there was a mistake. We could've REALLY used that 15 minutes. I feel that error on their part should not have counted against us but it did. Every minute and second counts when you're in an escape room. Anyway, we might try to be back because we did have fun. It is pretty expen$ive but I'm very happy that they offered us a coupon if we decide to come back. read more

Pretty terrible. My family and I do escape rooms quite often. This is the worst place we've ever been to. The owner is rude and makes you feel like you're covered in germs. We were 5 minutes early but she wouldn't let us in to the lobby, locked us out of the building, and made us wait outside even though no one else was there. She doesn't want you to touch anything at all and asks you not to touch your face, and makes you wear a mask and makes you lock up your purse/belongings in a cheap locker in the front lobby where anyone could steal them. The room was boring. No puzzles or anything interesting at all. It was just find a lock, unlock it, find the next lock and unlock it. Keys in plain sight. Halfway through we were bored and were ready to leave. That's the only escape room we've ever wanted to quit. Don't waste your money here. read more

This place is great. The rooms are well themed, the staff is super nice and helpful, I understand the the rooms also rotate to different options thru the year, so I'm looking forward to that. Turns out there are quite a few escape room options in Fresno, I'm not sure if this is the best in town since I haven't been to them all, but it's certainly a good one, and worth coming to. read more

This is one of the best escape rooms in town. My team and I made sure to do all of their rooms once we found out they existed. The quality is top notch and the rooms are fun. The clues are hands on and personal, not cookie cutter. So, it makes your experience a little better. I recommend everyone who is looking for an escape room to do, to come here. I don't understand the reviews that say the employees here are rude...the two women that helped us today were very friendly and helpful! We did the seasonal room - Home Alone themed - with a group of six. We all had a blast! The room was a good level of riddles, and I was impressed with how well the two 11 year olds in our group did figuring out the puzzles. This was a first time in an escape room for most of us in the group, so I'm not sure how it compares, but it was a great first experience for us. We already want to go back again! read more

Don't waste your time & Money here the owner is rude to adults even kids she makes you lock your things in the lobby and makes you wear a mask she accused my child of stealing something saying if there's anything in his pockets and accused an adult of stealing glasses when the person took their glasses off to clean them due to the fog from wearing glasses!
