Got invited by a buddy and somehow ended up running around like I was in an action movie... with paintball guns. Zero regrets. Finding the entrance was the hardest part--felt like a side quest you have to complete before unlocking the map. But once we found it? Game on. The field itself is fun, fast-paced, and full of adrenaline. My only suggestion: make it a little bigger. I wanted more free-roaming chaos and less "oh look, there's my friend again... immediately." Still, we laughed, got hit, did some questionable tactical decisions, and had a blast. That's really all you can ask for. I'm 100% coming back--next time with my boys so we can bond the traditional way: shooting each other with paintballs and talking trash the whole time. I use to play a lot but today was the first time in 7 years. Awesome Refs who are on top of safety for everyone. Friendly staff that helped me with my compressed air fills. One of the best local fields in the central valley. I will definitely be back after the holidays. read more

You can also bring anything into the park. it's lit!! if it's your first time I recommend buying a gun before you go, but that's not required because they also rent them out. fun times. read more

First I was originally trying to schedule a small party for my husbands 31st bday and reached out to the owner to ask about what would happen if he being a fireman was held on duty and we couldn't make it. She was very kind and said they would work with us. None of that mattered when our baby sitter became unavailable but I appreciated the kindness and customer service. We ended up going randomly to the fields as walk ins to play. They had a 50 person party and were unsure if they had enough equipment to let us rent. Then after a double check they were able to help us out and we got in some play time. Staff was friendly and checked in with us fields were fun. People were welcoming. One of the masks we were given wasn't in the best condition with the inner foam piece falling off. But we had an amazing time and will be trying to go back monthly. read more

Fun place to play but that is paintball everywhere. I found the refs to be a little too young and immature which leads to poor officiating and customer service. Rentals are rentals but I found their mask to have very scratched googles and it would fog 5 minutes into the game (despite purchasing and using their anti fog wipes). If there was a possibility of giving a zero I would have given a zero. I have NEVER experienced such rude and disrespectful employees. I went with a group of 12 mixed of adults and kids. To begin this nightmare of an experience, we were never greeted upon arrival. Once we were finally acknowledged, we were not allowed to ask no questions because the staff would respond very RUDE or degrading. What was the straw that broke the camels back was when one of the employees YELLED at one the kids that we had taken for NO reason! The boy needed help and this employee yelled at him instead of trying to explain to him what to do! Also, the refs are rude and disrespectful. They act as though we are on their time even though we're paying to have them on our time. All 12 of us will NEVER return here and I will tell everyone to never go there! We will be going to the other paintball fields where there is respectful staff! Word of advice to the owner: Hire NEW staff! read more

Maximum the field is a great, if not the greatest place to play in the valley. It has something for every type of player. It's great for your first time or if you are a tournament Baller. It has 3 fields that are well taken care of with full grass layouts. A 4th scenario field is in the works. It's very well priced and has plenty of parking and shaded areas. EDIT/UPDATE 11/17, rating changed from 4 to 5 stars: MP: TF still hasn't finished the big woodsball field, although I'm updating my review to 5 stars because the field finally got all new air bunkers. This makes them able to run three fields at a time. The new bunkers are a much-needed upgrade from the old bunkers which would often be deflated. I thank the field for investing in these. It made all the difference. Recently though, my friends and I have had problems where the refs won't call a game for 20+ mins sometimes. Instead, they will run private group games while other people sit around. They should try a system where they run games in 10 min intervals, announcing them beforehand so people are ready to go, or do a split deck system. Regardless, MP: TF is still my favorite field that I've played at in 3 states. Good referring, good prices, and great bunkers. Go and support the best field in the Valley. Original review: Full disclosure, I've been playing paintball for some 16 years. I love and have played (and currently play) various styles of games/types such as rec play, scenario, speedball, woodsball, big games, etc., etc., whatever, whatever. After visiting MP The Field a few times over the last couple years since their initial opening, I can say that the field and experience seems to have vastly improved, though that is not to say that it was bad originally. First, the basics. It'll cost around $15 for entry if you don't rent gear. "Lower grade" paint (Heat) will cost you $11.99 a bag, but firing it through my Proto yielded no breaks and relatively impressive accuracy and few bounces. There are three fields to play on, although we went on a Sunday and they did not set up the bigger speedball field. Two fields are airball/speedball and the other is a concept field with barrels and large box containers. Top chrono speed is 290. The thing I was most impressed with and where I saw the most improvement was in the reffing and their polite nature. Multiple times during the day they walked around asking how everyone was doing and if there was anything we needed. They have two refs per game, each one on a different side of the field. They are quick to check hits and are thorough and fair. If you go, expect to play with a mix of people from 12-year-old first timers to die hard speedball/competitive players; this is part of the fun, each game is different and challenging. Parents, don't worry about your kids being outmatched by better players, the refs strive to balance the teams and make sure that all new players don't end up facing all experienced players. With that being said, I would recommend going on a Saturday when all three fields are set up (Sunday's sometimes have less players so they don't set up both airball fields). Despite this, I had a great time on a Sunday even with just the two fields. There were plenty of people, even in the heat. Besides that, the only other two complaints I have is that their attack and defend/scenario field (which, when finished, will be the biggest field available) was estimated to be built around two years ago or so, and it appears little progress has been made. BUT, they said they are going to finish it soon after installing misters in the staging area, so good for them; I look forward to it. Once they do, I will change my review to five stars because of fair reffing, good prices, hospitable atmosphere, and field choice. And finally, some bunkers on the airball fields can sometimes be low on air, but that really isn't that big of a deal. And don't forget, the owners of the field (Tom and Debbie) also own the Maximum Paintball store on Blackstone just south of Shaw and have for what must be almost 20 years or so (if not more). Support them not only because they really are the only game in town, but because they are a true local business and exceptionally kind people. read more

Went to the field and played all day. Got the group on for the kidos and a coupon for myself from the store. Not sure what kind of field's the others are used to but they were fine. They would switch from one field to the other. Referees were fine they let you play and if you got hit it was probably more on the honer system then them telling you your out. They are there to make sure people are some what safe not to declare a winner. The guys checking us in were nice enough no real issues there. Not overly friendly but fine. They had 12 of us to check in so I could have cared less for chit chat. Fields had paint yes I don't expect them to collect thousands of little paint ball shells every weekend. It sounds like many ofnthr other reviews are to darn needy and need to stop bitching about nothing. We went had fun and staied for about 5 hours. It was well worth it read more

I had a bday party event here and we paid 65 each just so they can waste $20 worth on pizzas even tho there was like 12 of us, they still decided to get us 3 fucking medium pizzas, knowing that they got that deal where the medium pizzas cost $6 each from dominos. We also had to wait a cool while to play because they ran out of ammo on the field. Also the staff is lowkey unprofessional because there was a grown ass man entering our games just to take pics of us like we his kids and shit.overall the experience was alright but i do believe it wasn't worth 65 each!! read more

First time paintballing here or ever. I had to use a rental mask while I got luck that my friends provided everything else. The mask sucks and it fogs up. So I got hammered on some games just for that little thing. I wish they can provide better rentals but that is something I know might cost an arm and a legs for for businesses. I recommend everyone to at least get your own mask. They have 3 fields and I think field one was by far the best field and only field I prefer to play on. They had fiels 1 and 3 set but field 2 was not set. I wonder if they are recreating it. read more

Had a great experience out at the field today. They have one fixed bunker field and one air bunker field. Only about 25 people playing today but I bet that was due to the holiday weekend and it was 102. Two staff members were on the playing field at all times which is nice and keeps people from cheating. When we got there it was all very formal from the employees and it seemed as soon as we paid for the party they didn't care if we were unhappy. The masks were scratched to hell, and once they got fogged they stayed fogged. The guns were misfiring every 3 shots, and curving the bullets. Employees had been notified of all complaints and didn't lift a finger to change a thing. Employees also were within earshot of our group and they must've heard our complaints about gear, as well as our interactions with other players and didn't even acknowledge we said a thing. Then we left half way through, left all complaints with the employees at the front and they said to us, "have a nice day" but the tone was, "go fuck yourself." HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED. read more

First time- my gear wasn't up to their standards; had to dish out $$$ just to start playing with "their" equipment. Bunkers were flat, grass not cut, mud where no grass was growing. The refs were standing around chatting while players were waiting for games while fields were open. The guys that cashier and fill tanks are really rude, I felt almost discriminated; I was the only self paying individual there, everyone else was super young with their parents there paying for everything. I felt like they were trying to squeeze money out of me since I brought my own gear and paint. Second time- there is no second time: I showed up (20 mile drive) paid the parking fee, went in and they said I could not shoot my paint. They said they had a small disclaimer on the website, none whatsoever on the field. So I left, and I'm selling my gear to avoid even the temptation of going there again. I came there the second time expecting them to tell me something was wrong with my gear, I was right. So I ended up spending $75 dollars on pants and paint and parking for the occasion and ended up leaving furious. read more

Last weekend I decided to go up to the field for a good time with my friends after a good experience last visit. But when I arrived that the field the refs told be to leave because they said they wanted to start closing the field even though I got their 3:30 hours before closing time. Another set of people arrived and they were turned away too. The refs that were there made me want to go pay money at air warriors in Lemoore instead of their field. read more
