Quaint little place that definitely lives up to its name. The cuisine is certainly unique. I ordered the Buckwheat crepe and chose the key west shrimp option. I've never had a crepe with the ingredients used and I very much enjoyed it. It was like a clam chowder sauce meets shrimp and mushrooms in a crepe. Interesting and it worked. Mwah chef's kiss. The place is tucked away in a shopping plaza so isn't visibility from the street isn't great. But I certainly recommend for something new! I'll be going back. Me and my family absolutely loved this place. First of all, the service was fantastic. Our waitress, Grace, was so kind and she was especially sweet with our 4 1/2 year old daughter. The Wonton Tuna nachos were unlike anything I've ever tried and we all loved them. The chicken satay was very good and the peanut sauce made them even better. I had a difficult time picking what to order because so many of the menu items were unique and sounded delicious. When this restaurant opened, it quickly became one of our favorites. The menu spans many different types of food with a Thai twist - all delicious and beautifully presented! The service is always top notch and the prices are more than reasonable. We could tell from our first visit to this restaurant that it was a family business and that the owners take great pride in the quality and presentation of their dishes. They and their staff always make sure that we feel welcome and comfortable. We have tried the Thai Chicken, Short Ribs, Fried Shrimp with Coconut Noodles, Fish and Chips, and the Veggie Wok Stir Fry. Hidden gem. Get in there and eat eat eat. Need to keep this restaurant open. They do not use seed oil. That alone is a great reason to check them out. Shared: short ribs, so tender and great flavor. I didn't mind it pre sliced. (I'm lazy). My TX native friend who loves her short ribs wished it had been in pieces. It was fine. The apple coleslaw was a nice touch for something different. Wok Stir Fry flavor was just what I was hoping for. Possibly could use some more veggies please. Naan bread with the peanut sauce was yummy. I have been hearing some interesting talk about a new restaurant in Venice, Fl, so my wife and I gave it a try for lunch today. It's called Unique Cuisine, and I will say, it's name fits it well. Only about a month old, this little restaurant inside a little strip mall, I believe, will never see an empty table again until the snowbirds leave next spring. So go now before the snowbird rush. Today we tried an appitizer called Mesoamerica Shrimp. 6 fried shrimp (in eggroll wrapper) served with house made salsa & guacamole. They were excellent and unique. We shared our two entrees of Southern Thai Fried Chicken & Honey Lime Ribs. I will tell you right now, order extra napkins. The half a slab of ribs are coated with a sticky finger licking sweet sauce and sesame seeds. Nice portion of everything with sticky rice, a side salad of thinly sliced apples, beets, & lettuce. It was delicious! The fried chicken was delicious also. With a light rice flour coating, the chicken batter was so light, but yet the chicken so juicy & crispy. Chicken also came with sticky rice, a dipping sauce, mixed salad & kimchi. Service was great also. We will definitely be back to try some of their other unique dishes. By far the worst experience I've had in a restaurant in recent memory! Arrived at 1:30, only three table with diners and two of them left as we sat down and placed our order.
