Side salad, small additional price but better than french fries I think

First of all there open 5-8:30pm 7 days a week. Maps is wrong. The food is amazing and well worth the money.

We stopped by for lunch, the restaurant wasn't open but the outdoor patio was! We grabbed a lobster roll and it was delicious! The staff was so nice! The food came quick and it was a lovely seating area overlooking the river! Beautiful view! Lovely staff and wonderful food! Thank you!

Oh my gosh where do I begin?? Hands down the best lobster I've ever had. The wait was around 2 hours when we got here but so worth the wait. We found out we were there on their last night open for the season and they were running a lobster special, so we were super fortunate. Everything was amazing and I also had to try the blueberry pie. To. Die. For. If we ever get up this way again, definitely stopping here!!

Went for the riverside lunch on the lawn. Very cute, good selection. Really good lobster rolls, great chowder. Hubby had the hot dog...yum. Great French fries and blueberry pie. Lemonade not made with lemons....so not great. Otherwise very good food and a nice view.

All around great service. Much better pricing than other similar places. We actually ate here twice witch normally never do when traveling

The food and service were amazing! Plenty of seating and great views. Fast service so don't worry if theres a wait. We came from Ohio to find the best lobster dish and this was IT!

We arrived around 4:20. They open at four. The covered patio was nearly full. They also have tables outside. We sat inside as it was a bit humid. Our server was Jen. They have 2 Jen's. Ours was the shorter one. She was fantastic. Very efficient!! We ordered a bowl of lobster stew to share. Neither of us had ever had it before. It was one of the best things we've ever tasted!! OMG! Order it!! We weren't super hungry, so we shared that and a Lobster Pie. We each got a house salad. The Lobster Pie was also delicious!! I would suggest ordering that on a different day than the Lobster Stew as both are SUPER rich and heavy. But SO good. A bit of a timing issue with the kitchen. Our salads were served first, ice cold and great. But we weren't even halfway finished with them before the steaming bowl of stew arrived. Then the same with the entree before we'd even made a dent in the pie. They were pretty empty inside with 3-4 servers most standing around, but that changed fast near 5 pm. They got swamped on a Wednesday night. The poor timing from the kitchen aside, it was a delightful experience with AMAZING food! Generous chucks of lobster in everything. Our stew had at least 3 full claws and knuckle meat in one bowl. Wow!

Beautiful location on the Union River and wonderful food authentic to the area. The clam chowder was very good as was the blueberry pie. Baked haddock was good but I wish I'd ordered a lobster dish. Lines are long and they close for the season soon.

Being a visitor my waitress was very friendly and patient to explain the menu to me, staff was overall very welcoming, menu vast with selection and the food definitely hit the spot! 5/5!

When the locals refer it, you know it has to be good. Having nothing else to compare to since it was our first night in Maine...we had no idea what a gem this was. Fabulous lobster and service!

This was a whole vibe. Beautiful yard for a waiting area with an outdoor bar. Service was super fast! The fried claims were the best I've ever had. They were thick, but didn't feel heavy with grease. The baked stuffed haddock was good. Although the stuffing was good, the haddock was outstanding.

Hands down best meal in Maine so far after 5 days visiting around Bar Harbor and eating lobster every day. All of the food is fresh and service is amazing. The lobster pot is right outside the restaurant, so you can see that the lobster is alive until ordered. I would definitely come back!

We stopped by for lunch on our way to Bar Harbour and very much enjoyed it. They have a limited menu available on their outdoor space, which is big with a nice view of the stream off to the side. We shared the lobster roll, crab roll, fries, and New England chowder between two of us. Everything was perfect! Service was friendly. I'd definitely like to come for dinner next to try more from the full menu.

    Is this a byob restaurant?

I was there at the end of June, it is not BYOB. They have a good selection of beer (including Maine craft beer) plus wine. Not sure if it's full bar.

Conscious Cafe is a small, tucked away neighborhood cafe inside a yoga studio. Their manu is carefully curated to nourish and replenish you body and soul. I really can't say enough about our experience here. We stopped by for an early lunch. I ordered the sweet potato soup as well as a coffee beverage. I typically don't like flavored beverages made with anything but espresso. Theirs are made with coffee and are outstanding. Zero complaints on the coffee. Their food is made fresh to order so takes a little while as when I was there, it was a bit of a one man show. The soup came came with crispy shallots and a drizzle of balsamic reduction. It was ginger kissed and one of the best sweet potato soups I have ever had. It was served with a side of crusty sourdough with the lightest smidge of ghee. It paired perfectly with the soup. The dining area is warm and comfortable with the kitchen easily viewable. You order at the counter and then the chef will bring you your meal. It's not a quick meal, but I promise you it will be worth the wait. Get to it!

Well was worth the wait. Good clean food, lots of vegetarian and gluten free options. The owner/chef Jesse even made a dish especially for me with all my dietary restrictions. Very nice! Also, there's a beautiful outdoor seating area that we really enjoyed. Definitely coming back!

We came back the following night for a REAL treat... First of all, Tony was our server. What an absolute sweetheart!! He had nothing but fantastic recommendations for us. He was definitely not your standard "waiter". He spoke to us like we were regulars, which we appreciated, considering we were from Massachusetts. We ordered three of his suggestions: wings, fish and chips and the spicy margarita. Outside of what was recommended we also got the beer cheese and GIANT soft pretzel, bangers and mash and the creme brûlée. First off- this was my first time trying beer cheese, so I was beyond excited. I hate pretzels, however. Guess what?? They were BOTH SOOO GOOD!! The pretzel was the size of my giant head and was so soft & salty. It really paired well with the creamy beer cheese. I'd come back just for this appetizer every time. The wings too, actually! I was a little hesitant because I read the word "dill" on the menu but they really tasted more like Buffalo wings with a note of dill at the very end. I think I might be in love.... On to the main event! The Smithwick's beer battered fish and chips... WOW. It was a little different than I'm used to (which was a great thing in this case). The batter was thick and crispy (I'm used to thinner) and the haddock was super moist. Very fresh! I order this meal wherever I go and this is definitely in my top 3 (out of probably 50 others). I was hoping I could switch out the chips for fries because, well, I've never had traditional chips before! I must say I was pleasantly impressed though! They were the BEST and completed the dish perfectly. My fiancé had the bangers and mashed. He said it was good and very traditional. I did not indulge, so I can't relay that in my review. Last, we ended the meal with a MUST try....the creme brûlée. LEAVE ROOM FOR THIS DESSERT! The top was a hard sugar coating while the rest was truly a creamy dream. I might have to stop back in JUST for this before I head back home! 5 stars. Definitely. 6 stars for service!!
