I brought in my original paint can so the store could match the exact color I used on my wall. They…read moremade me a new can and kept the old one to discard. When I got home, I realized they had given me a completely different color. Mistakes happen -- that part wasn't the issue. I went back and asked if they could retrieve my original can from the trash so they could properly match the color. It had already been thrown out, so I took time to find the closest match from their color samples. They remade the paint... and then tried to charge me again for correcting their mistake. I was shocked. The incorrect color was not my error -- it was theirs. Yet they refused to take responsibility and attempted to make me pay for it. That is unacceptable customer service. When a business makes a mistake, it should own it and fix it without putting the burden on the customer. Instead, I was treated with complete disregard and disrespect. I will not be returning, and I don't recommend this store to anyone who values fairness, accountability, or basic customer service.

On a corner of the main street in the center of a suburban downtown. Across the street from the town diner. They can match any odd nut or bolt you have. This is for the owner of the store ( and jokes on me if he's the person that doesn't seem to care…read moreabout the customers ). I've never been to your store before but pass it on my way home from work . For almost 20 yrs. I was a regular customer of Benjamin Bros /Value Hardware before they closed down . What kept me loyal to that store wasnt their prices . It was the friendliness and helpfulness which should be a standard work ethic for customer service people. As soon as a floor person saw you there they asked if they could be of help after they said Hi... I guess you know where I'm going with this .. A younger man was helping someone by the paints and he was friendly with the customer. I got the older man ringing me out . He didn't say hello or ask to help me find anything when I saw him earlier in the aisles wandering right next to him. He was just as stone faced at the register . Why would I want to go back there and become a loyal customer ?? I'm writing this because I think it's a shame when a small business is being hurt unnecessarily .

Cheap tools at cheap prices. Nothing more, nothing less…read more For a DIYer, this place is heaven on earth. Tools and random items for any purpose can be found here. Socket wrenches, torque wrenches and more for working on your car or cordless drills and saws for working on jobs around the house, you'll find it here. Are these tools of the best quality? Of course not. But at a fraction of the cost of some of the big name brands, you can use these tools and break them a few times and still come out ahead. If I were a professional, obviously I'd look somewhere else. But for a DIYer, you can't beat Harbor Freight. The tools here look like they're made by different brands, but make no mistake, they're all Harbor Freight brand. A last tip: You'll have better luck with the hand tools here, it's the power tools that can be hit and miss. Be sure to keep your receipt in case something doesn't work and you can easily exchange for a new one. Overall, I like this location. I've been to a few Harbor Freights in the area and this one seems to be run very well compared to some others.
