Horrible experience. Especially frustrated because the employee, whom I presume was the owner, on the phone tried to scold me and tell me I was in the wrong. I ordered a deluxe pizza with no green peppers on all of it, and on half of it ordered no mushrooms, no sausage, and no pepperoni. Given that order, it should've been a half deluxe pizza and a half cheese pizza, but instead they sent a half deluxe pizza and a half green pepper pizza. Instead of remedying the situation the owner instead claimed I ordered it wrong and told me I would need to pay additional for another pizza. My sister's family is vegan and was hungry on the way back from the family Christmas party. I was searching vegan restaurants and not holding out much hope, when Underdog Pizza's profile popped for me on yelp. I went to the website, but didn't see the options for vegan cheese, so I called them and they confirmed that they did have vegan cheese. My sister called back to put in the order and the person taking our order gave us the full list of vegan "meat", put up with our waffling on number of pizzas and number of fry orders and was just wonderful. Don't be discouraged if you don't see the vegan cheese on the website right away - it is there, just select a pizza and start clicking around - or call them for excellent service! Underdog Pizza, much like Underdog himself, comes to the rescue! On pick up, the folks working told us about all the testing they have done and consistently still do of vegan products to make sure their food tastes good.. Their enthusiasm was infectious and when we got home and tried it out the testing definitely paid off. The vegan cheese was very tasty, as were the fake bacon and burger crumbles. Some solid pizzas. An unexpectedly awesome find which will help our family be able to more easily get food together when we are all in the area. They also have a gluten free crust and non-tomato pizza's to offer. And they have dairy cheese and other non-vegan products as well. Underdog pizza is conveniently located on main street in Keene - There is pull in street parking and some municipal lots within walking distance. They are kind of a "hole in the wall" style place with some seating and a Ms. Pacman game. Ordered a toasted meatball sub on the app for pick up around 2pm recently on a weekday. When I got home and upwrapped the sub the bread was toasted black on top. I was very hungry and the last thing I wanted to do was to drive back and wait for another one. So I just made it work as an open face. Options? I don't want to have to unwrap my sub at the counter. Ordered a LIGHT BAKE pizza with extra sauce (delivery with a generous tip). Got no extra sauce (there was very little sauce at all) and the pizza was totally burned all over the bottom - did not seem like even REGULAR bake, never mind light! I ordered pizza from this place when it was Amicci's and it was always great, so this was so disappointing. We always order light bake because we can then heat it up in our air fryer if needed to get it the exact level of "doneness" we like, without ANY burning. I almost never have an issue when I order "light bake" anywhere (usually it's fine as it is and then fine the next day too when heated up), but Underdog seemed to totally ignore the instructions since they also missed the extra sauce. (Maybe they were just extra-busy and forgot to check the notes?) I must add, the steak & cheese sub was very big and tasted GREAT, as did the salad with beef. So they got stars for those! read more

Always make at least one visit here while in town for business---by far the best NY style pizza in town. Great variety of vegan and gluten free options to boot. We called a day in advance to order 3 pizzas and a steak tip salad for delivery the following day at 11:30. The order was paid for with a tip. It was explained to Underdog that this was lunch for a group of students spending a "retreat" day outside of their normal school building, We were assured by Underdog Pizza that the food will be there with some plates and napkins. The school notified us later in the day that the food didn't arrive until 12:15, after their lunch period was over. When we called, there were a lot of excuses (small business, co-owner out if town ,staff, etc) and an offer for 10% off a future order. The garlic bread was a literal hotdog bun with garlic butter on top. $30 for that, the menu online doesn't reflect the price you pay in store, it should have been $21. The store sign up front says "New York style pizza" which I thought was hilarious because it's not even close to NY style. Ordered salads for lunch, they took a very long time to get here. One of them had plastic in it and they all were poor quality ingredients, mushy tomatoes and chicken and wilted lettuce. When we called they offered a partial refund for the one salad with plastic in it and said nothing about the quality complaint. Have been ordering from Underdog/Amiccis for years. Was the best place for pizza and subs. My husband is Keto and has a cheat day every 4 or 5 months and ALWAYS wants pizza from there. Ordered 2 pizzas and a sub Sunday and was shocked at the quality. Went in to complain and was told my food looks like it always does. I beg to differ. My small steak and cheese had hardly any meat. Had to move the meat from one side to the other to make it worth eating. Both pizzas looked like they were not even cooked all the way and toppings were scarce. The only thing they would offer was a chance to remake one of the pizzas. That would be great if only they would remember offering that 4 months from now when my husband has another cheat day. Honestly wasn't looking for compensation, just wanted them to admit that it was not what they usually serve. Instead, I was told that I was wrong and it was the same as always. I am not crazy. Really great flavor and friendly service! They let me take their photo for Yelp, after all! The eggplant calzone was filling and fantastic! Huge portions. As you can see, it overflows the plate which is in a small pizza box. There was some dust/debris on the plasticware and the tables could have used a quick wipe down. Our favorite pizza place, Amici's appears to be under new management and with any change there are bumps in the road. I was expecting a crispy pizza with cheese and plenty of vegetables. There were onions, mushrooms and peppers, with a modest amount of cheese and large slices of tomato. The crust was pale, suggesting that the oven wasn't hot enough and lacked flavor. I used to LOVE Amiccis, and I mean LOVE IT! And when I say Amiccis I mean the amiccis with the last owners, not current. One of my favorite things about it was the crust. Not only that, but the ricotta cheese and the way they put it on their pizza was WAYY better than the Underdog Does it now and unfortunately has since they took over. I wish I had a pic of how it used to look, but it used to be spoonfuls, not what looks like what canned cheese looks like, as in thin little lines of it. Here's the thing, I asked for extra, extra, extra, ricotta and said I will pay for it. I really hope I didn't pay for it because if this is considered extra, extra, extra, that's just crazy. The other thing is the cheese is VERY salty now. I'm wondering if they're cutting the mozz with provolone?? I dunno, the crust isn't as light, it's much firmer, but not in a good way. TWO TIMES - in 2 hours and YOU ARE OUT! Decided to try the new owner pizza-ria in Keene. The phone order went well, but when the pizza arrived home mysteriously the pizza had black olives on it... We called adn were assured they would start another correctly . Upon arrival we had to wait 1.5 hours for the pizza and when IT arrived home- it was RAW- the crust was raw even on the thin areas. No satisfaction with manager - refused to remake the pizza and refund our money for our trouble, travel and wait time. They can find their customers elsewhere! read more

The food & prices are great here but the service is lacking. I frequently order salads for lunch, and they tend to put too much cheese on the salad so I like to ask for it on the side. I got cheese on the side of my salad for many months, then one day I called to order a salad and was told they *absolutely cannot put cheese on the side* and that they will not do that anymore. The woman on the phone was extremely rude, I should have hung up on her! Please note that they put salad dressing on the side in little plastic cups, so it's not difficult to put cheese in another plastic cup. But that is not an option. Ordered a steak and cheese pocket with GRIILLED onions and peppers, and I got grilled peppers mixed in with the meat and cheese. The grill cook however, decided to line the bottom of the pocket with 1/2 a pound of raw onion, because apparently it was too hard to throw it on the grill with the rest of the ingredients. Neat little pizza joint, friendly staff, expansive menu. Got grinders and pizza, hinders were pretty good, unfortunate that they don't have much of a selection for cheese. Got some turkey, veggie and pizza grinders, all were delicious, I'd recommend them all. For pizza we got a small half cheese half pepperoni. The pizza was average, crust was doughy, a little undercooked. The inside was cool, small seating area a swell as a barstool counter, pinball machine by the door.
