I am still a fan of Main Crust 9 years later. I generally come here when I'm in town visiting family. It is a big asset to a small town to have a good pizza place/bar. The pizza is always solid here. Great specialty pizzas. Never had a complaint about it. The other food goes through cycles. Right now their fried food is touch and go. It's often not hot. Sometimes it's overfried. Though in the past it was fine. So maybe it will be fine again sometime. Other things on their menu have kind of gone through this cycle too. Used to love the burgers here - then they went through an inconsistent phase. Haven't had them again in awhile. The bartenders/waitresses they've have always been good. It seems like they usually only have 1 on duty at any given time and they've all seemed pretty cool under pressure. I RARELY drink get a drink at this restaurant. But the beer list is always good and seems to change frequently. I always look before I leave and wish I had a reason or time to sit down and drink there. So it's a bit of a mixed review, but you won't be disappointed with a pizza and a beer from here and - again - so happy to have this restaurant in Marlborough. read more

For some reason, when my son and family arrive from Ohio during the Christmas holiday, he insists we get take-out from Main Crust. He's more than happy to drive from Dublin to pick it up. However, now, he's saying why don't we just go there early Christmas Eve and have pizza, wings and beer? There are dozens of pizza places in and around Columbus OH, but his heart is at Main Crust. Not sure if he's going to be here this year, but if so, we'll be getting pizza on the 26th...change in plans! read more

I'm in New Hampshire a few months a year. When I find a fabulous small business doing things right, I like to share with others. This place is close to my daughter's house and I'm really glad I tried it. I ordered the cauliflower crust pizza steak and cheese. So good!!! My grandson enjoyed the french fries and the tuna sub. I ordered it and it was hot and ready when we picked it up. Really cozy atmosphere inside and really would love to try to eat inside at least once. Pizza here is good but it's touch and go with toppings when you order to go- mostly go... there's not much sauce and the toppings are sparse and not evenly placed at all. I do like them better than most places but honestly can't go back since I end up frustrated at the lack of toppings when I'm paying $20 for a pizza. They have to many rats,sitting eating my pizza and out comes a huge rat not a little mouse a rat instantly made me sick. Won't be returning.

Poo poo city if you get the meats. Especially pork. Bartender wouldn't serve me when I came with my wife and son. We ordered for pick up and decided to stay. Think he might have been grumpy because there might not be a food tip. He solidified that response. read more

The pizzas here were fine, and the beer list was pretty impressive for a small pizza place (they have a reasonable bar and plenty of other food offerings). I confess I was a bit turned off by the legend at the bottom of the check that offered tip amounts for 20%, 25% and 30%. Came to this cozy pizza place and didn't try the pizza! Next time for sure but today we got potato skins, burger and roast beef sandwich, we all enjoyed our meals. The waitress was very helpful and went out of her way to keep checking on us to see if we were good. I did notice everyone that entered the restaurant took home a pie. Stopped here after skiing and did not feel welcomed. Food was ok, but the service was terrible. Staff and customers were rude and giving dirty looks because we were not locals. Extremely inconsistent. Last pizza we had there was actually terrible! It is hard to make a really terrible pizza but this one was just carelessly prepared. Loved the lasagna when they had it but it disappeared. Have had their eggplant parm dinner several times and it has been consistently good. Salads are also not bad. We live in town love pizza and wish we could get a good one here. At best even if you ask for extra crispy crust it is soggy. But still edible. I am hoping our last try was just an off night and we will try again and hope for a pizza that is actually cooked and has the toppings spread evenly. The least one can expect. Oh well. The eggplant parm dinner is no longer available! First the lasagna disappears and then the eggplant. I called and asked for it and heard: "we don't do that anymore". The pizza is pretty good overall here, but that's about as far as it goes. If you're looking to make your own additions to a sub or have more than the barest fillings, you're in the wrong place. The staff is understaffed almost every time I go in, and the younger staff members need to go back to customer service training as they are ill tempered with their customers if they have any questions. I do have to say they have some good beers on tap, and though overpriced, they are kept current and trendy. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place unless it's your absolute last resort. read more

This is the only place in the Keene area that comes even close to New Haven pizza. Nice thin crust, baked perfectly, with ample toppings. The apple crisp is almost as big as an entire apple pie! Friendly staff and reasonable prices, too. A winner. read more

Just moved to the area and decided to try it out! We ordered two large pizzas 1. Margarita 2. 3x3 Supreme for pick up. When we got home & opened the margarita pizza to find what looked like pesto in place of fresh basil. The website states "fresh basil when in season"! However we decided to call just to be sure and they confirmed it was in fact pesto. One of our guests at our home is allergic to pine nuts! If we were not proactive about it, our guest would have gone into anaphylactic shock and ended up in the emergency room. While on the phone we mentioned we had a pine nut allergy and when the gentleman left to check and confirm, offered nothing to remedy the situation. As a former restaurant career person of 23 years....we always took allergy situations very seriously and ensured it was noted everywhere menu's, website etc. I'm usually less critical than most due to the fact I've been in the food industry a long time and let things slide due to having an understanding of what goes on in the kitchen and am more forgiving. However, this was unacceptable even for me! I guess I'll take the extra 10 min to go into Keene, NH to Amicci's! read more

Very happy to see this place come into Marlborough since Round Table went out of business. In the summer, this place is a staple for a few pepperoni pizzas (they use large sandwich pepperoni, nice touch). I love the sauce they use and the people here are very friendly. They have their work cut out for them tying to attract the lunch crowd over Doug's, but their sandwiches and pizza are fantastic and service is very fast. read more

We had a nice dinner here. We ordered the Mediterranean pizza and a salad. For $4.99 we considered the salad bar a good value. It has fresh lettuce and spinach. The fixings offered were a very nice selection and fresh. The salad dressings were 'Ken's' and there were about 5 choices. The pizza had a lot of toppings and was tasty. I did add some garlic powder to it from the shaker that they had at the table. The crust was quite good. Typically I'm not much of a crust eater but I did eat all of it. Food is okay, beer is good, decent wings, pizza a bit greasy. I would go back and try the food again, being that I heard high reviews, however, my experience was ruined by the waitstaff. We waited for 20 minutes for someone to take our order and more than an hour for the food (... Pizza and wings, and sandwich). The waiter forgot part of our order and treated us arrogantly and rudely. Meanwhile, the same waitress was happy to pay attention to a table full of men and delivered their food in under 20 minutes!! I assumed they had an easier order but was more off-put when noticing her innappriate behaviors towards the men. I understand women may need to feel the need to flirt to get an extra tip because times are tough, but sexual innuendos, while there are kids in the restaurant, takes it too far. She even gave a few guys beer for free. Announcing it, while we are still waiting on food. Rolling her eyes at us, when asking for a refill. Would not recommend this place because of the service or avoid going in when the waitress Hather is there. Places in small towns should be more aware of who they are hiring. read more

We ate here last week and the pizza was great. This week 11-30-12 the crust was flat instead of bubbly, there was NO sauce, and the cheese was different. My dog didn't even want to finish it. 1.0 star rating 10/31/2014 I WILL NEVER BE BACK -OWNER IS A REAL BAG OF DOUCHE I went here at about 12:30 on a Sat afternoon with my husband and 2 kids, age 6 and 4. I have to also inform you that in the parking lot of this establishment there is a HOT DOG stand, Doug's Dog's, which is amazing, if you are ever in the area, you must stop no matter how long the line is, its worth the wait to go there and skip the hell hole of a pizza joint. Anyway my 6 year old of course wanted a dog from Doug's dogs, so my husband took her there while myself and the 4 year old went in to order a pizza. While we were sitting down waiting for the pizza, my husband came in with my 6 year old who was still eating her hot dog and joined us. When our pizza was ready the owner came over to deliver it and reprimanded me for allowing my child to bring her hot dog in, telling me it was not cool to bring food in from another establishment, I asked him if he was joking to which he continued to argue with me about this in front of the kids, I said shes 6 and she loves Doug's Dogs, should I of made her sit outside and eat it in the cold, I mean its not like we didn't get food from your establishment, he continued to argue with me about how no restaurant would allow me to bring in food from another place, not that his pizza joint is some fine dining restaurant, they have heavy metal bands there on weekends for christ sake! ....At this point I am shaking because i want to punch him in the head for making my child feel like she did something wrong, so I ask for a box and I explain to him that I think he is a jackass, not so nicely either, and that I will be posting on facebook the moment I get in my car where we will eat his pizza for the last time. If the kids were not with me I would of dumped the pizza on his floor. Needless to say after posting on fb and receiving countless other comments about other's bad experiences with this jackass, he replies back to me stating that it was out of insurance concerns that he said something. No mention of insurance was made the day I was there, only that he could not believe I would let my kid eat a hot dog there. I guess the moral of the story is the OWNER has no love for children eating hot dogs and his customer service skills suck but I guess I would be bitter too if I had to watch that long line of customers at Doug's Dog's everyday too! Great spot for pizza and a beer. Pizza is great, couldn't believe the size of an extra large! They are a very accommodating staff, I wanted a large take out order shortly after they would be opening on a weekend- and they took the order the night before and had it waiting at opening! I've never ordered a whole pie, but I stop in for their single slice "pizza bar" occasionally. Pizza has always been good and per slice price is a bargain. Plus they have a great selection of bottle beers. read more

My favorite pizza around here. My fiance and I actually have polar opposite taste in pizza, so aside from Papa Gino's, this is the only one we agree upon. Very tasty, not that generic "flavor" you get from most pizza places at all. And! I love the variety of specialty pizzas. The bread on their subs is THE BEST...BUT I always have to ask for extra mayo or mustard because their standard is to skimp on the condiments I guess. So that's my only complaint. read more

I've run restaurants for 20 years, and know cost and portions....this place puts about 3 oz. of sauce on a 14" pizza, and about 6 oz of cheese, absolutely not enough. I ordered a topping, was charged for it, and we could not find it on the pizza. Eating there? The staff is more than happy to grab the parmesan cheese and red pepper sprinklers of your table and give it to another patron....even while you're using it! Why?
