It's already intimidating enough to have hair pulled from your body, the last thing I want is an intimidating space, and both Natalie and Erika have made this space so warm and welcoming and safe, I always feel so cared for. I've been a patron of this establishment for years for their sugaring services and they're phenomenal. The best. Hands down. I've never looked back. However, I've recently switched to their lasering service and I am even more amazed at the results. As with everything, Nat makes sure to learn the process inside and out to carry out procedures in the most efficient and effective way to obtain the best results for each customer. After one session, my hair is significantly thinner with an extremely low level of regrowth. I literally saw hairs in my underwear from falling out from the root. There was basically no hair growth 2+ weeks after my session. Let me repeat, this was after ONE session. My skin is also soooo smooth and I've struggled with ingrown hairs and rough texture in this area for what seems like all my life. I'm truly speechless and beyond excited at these results. I've received lasering services from another establishment and after several sessions I haven't had results remotely close to the results I've seen in one session from here. I plan to do full body lasering and look forward to being smooth and hair free all over! Ive been regularly going to Natalie aka Sugaring Brooklyn for the past 8 months. Each appointment is always amazing & I'm left with a great sugaring experience. Now time to get to the tea ! Ive been getting a Brazilian and my underarms done consistently & I've been able to see the dramatic difference in the rate of my hair growth in both areas. When I first started going to Natalie I would have to keep up with the 4 week appointments for my Brazilian & 2 weeks for the underarms, as the hair would grow back very fast. Now I'm able to stretch out my appointments, I see that my hair is growing back at a slower rate & the hair has gone from a coarse texture to a more smooth straight texture. Im able to wait up to 6 weeks before needing a Brazilian & up to 4 weeks for my underarms, so amazing ! I had an appointment today for my underarms & my last appointment was 4 weeks ago ! Natalie's techniques and products are top notch ! She's always letting you know what you can do to help if you have ingrowns or discoloration, she'll recommend stuff you can find locally as well as the products in the shop; no pressure is ever placed for you to get the items in the shop & I absolutely love that ! There is consistent and clear communication, the physical space is welcoming and clean, the staff are knowledgeable and caring. Because this is a body hair positive, body hair removal business, what you are actually getting (in my opinion) is curated body hair, which is a pretty dope concept. I also have never felt more heard about my wants and needs in any form of "beauty salon" than when I am with Natalie. I knew this would be my only place for hair removal when I told Natalie I had my period and thought I had to cancel and was then told that's not a reason that would make them not be able to work with me. I mean, come on people, that's amazing! My own doctor won't see me when I'm on my period, but at Sugaring Brooklyn you can be in the middle of your heaviest day and no one is batting an eye lash. I am a VERY DISAPPOINTED customer! I would like to leave less than one star but unfortunately I can't. I booked and appointment at sugaring brooklyn AND showed up for it; however, due to lack of parking, traffic, AND the fact that I'm well into my 8th month of pregnancy, I move slowly and therefore I was a few minutes late (but still showed up to my appointment and called to let them know but no one answers the phones apparently). When I got there, I was refused services. I was told "all we have time for is the intake interview," which was 15-20 minutes (that she could have been providing my service) of ridiculous rambling. There were only two valid questions. After all that nonsense and not getting my service, I was STILL charge FULL price of $73.15!!! I looked back at the contract and NO WERE does it say you have to pay full price if you are late, ONLY if you're a no show or cancellations in less than 24 hours. If I can attach a picture of the contract I will. Also, this place is in the middle of the ghetto!! I would never go back and NEVER RECOMMEND going. I'm born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and I know the areas you just don't go to! read more
