I had the lentil vegetable soup and it was absolutely delicious, quite a diverse flavour profile from spiced to spicy, I loved every bite. My friend had the grilled cheese with tater tots. The double fried tater tots were crispy and delicious and the grilled cheese was exactly what you would want if you order this option. Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and the bread was lovely. Oh man. Well. Where to begin? Upon grabbing a table in open seating, we were greeted by what one can only describe as the most down to Earth, warm, and welcoming server (possibly also owner? Maybe just gave that vibe cuz it seemed like she really cared). Anyway, she was amazing, offering to walk us through the menu. We opted to just dive right in and snag some thing that stood out: Rosemary garlic fries, Seattle cheesesteak, and grinder. Nothing, and I mean nothing, disappointed. I guess the only mild criticism I heard at all between myself and my husband was that his steak was cut a little too thick for a clean bite out of his cheesesteak. We came for a visit on opening weekend to a full house and were happy to wait our turn. The owners were out and about shaking hands and meeting people, they were happy to answer any and all questions. The wait staff was fantastic! Our waitress was Carrie (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and she was great. Even with the house full we never wanted for a refill and she was able to find time to check on us regularly. We had the fried mac-n-cheese balls, the pulled pork cubano, and the chicken chili verde sandwiches...which were both very good. Uncle Eddies is brand new in beautiful, beloved South Park, and we are so glad to have this awesome, family owned, family friendly spot as the newest member of the South Park community! First, the "beer and a bump" is the best deal around, a whiskey shot and a tall boy capped off the work week juuuuust right, and the specialty cocktails were delicious! The menu offers some tasty cheap starters and a nice variety overall, plus kids options. Everything we tried was delicious, including the house made dips and sauces for the tots and fritters. Lots of nice attention to small details. Seating is spacious and comfy, cozy booths, bar and window seats, lots of room. Good music too, and not too loud. Zero complaints, 100% love. I really wanted to like this place..it appears light and inviting from the outside. The waitress was friendly enough, albeit a little scatterbrained. The rainier tall boy was cheap, as it should have been. The trouble came with the boring menu and poorly executed overpriced food. It's like 3 salads, 5 sandwiches, and one soup to pick from. My boyfriend ordered the pork Cubano (with garlic fries), and I ordered the steak sandwich (with side salad). They ran about $20 a piece and were not great. Salad was room temp and had a weird "house dressing" that had a bunch of mustard seeds and tasted like pickles. This restaurant has a weird pickle theme. Pictures of pickles on flyers on the table and buckets of pickles to order...I don't get it. Steak in the sandwich tasted like microwaved, overcooked leftovers. It's definitely not a $20 meal. Also ordered a coke which was flat. We got the seasonal dessert, which was 2 apple hand pies. They sounded so good, but they were flavorless, dry, and left too long in the fryer. Even a nice drizzle of caramel or some ice cream would have gone a long way. But 2 tiny dry hand pies for $8 left us feeling super unsatisfied. All in all, ok for cans of beer, but skip the rest. Real shame because the place had an ok neighborhood bar vibe and was fairly clean. read more

Great to have a new place in South Park to have drinks and food. I've driven by a few times since it opened, and finally made it there. The place is nicely done, in an L-shaped place. The setup and decor (despite gray walls) is warm and comfy inside. The menu is uncomplicated, and I tried the grinder sandwich. It was a bit greasy and salty for my taste. I chose a side salad, which was a good portion, though a bit overdressed. Neither were bad choices for food though. They have an outdoor seating area that should be very nice when the warmer weather comes. I'd say they're still working out the kinks for this new place, so I give them good marks for the start, but there's room to grow as they hone their skills. I'm looking forward to continuing coming back, and glad to have anther option for the South Park, Delrige/White Center, Georgetown neighborhoods. read more

A co-worker noticed this place had recently opened and we decided to try it for lunch. One drawback of the place is that there's not seating for a large party. If you have 8 or more, you're going to be in separate booths at best. However, there was open seating at the bar, so we ended up sitting there. The interior was very clean and one of the servers was even going through and wiping down the light fixtures as we were entering. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. I had the Seattle Cheesesteak. The meat was thicker cuts of flank steak, very tender and had good flavor. The au jus dip that it came with was a little on the salty side, though. Two others in my party had the chicken chili verde sandwich and another had the brisket. All said their meals were very good as well. I'm glad that this place opened as it's within walking distance from my work. We'll definitely be back! read more

My favorite breakfast spot in the area. I start brunch with a Bloody Mary that comes with a PBR shorty. A perfect drink to stop a hangover in it's tracks. The Bloody Mary is flavorful, but not overwhelming. The Biscuit Benny is my go-to every time. Fresh, fluffy, flavorful biscuits, perfectly cooked eggs, and a rich hollandaise. The rosemary garlic roasted potatoes are to die for. We like to get a side of rosemary garlic fries to share with the table. My husband loves the biscuits and gravy, but I'm unfortunately not a fan due to one of the spices in it (which I think might be fennel). But everyone else seems to love it! The screw drivers and mimosas are great too, due to the fresh squeezed orange juice. Yum! The service is always quick and friendly. It's a small place, but we have only had to wait for a table once. We were able to wait at one of the outdoor tables, where we were served with cocktails while until a table inside was available. Food is served outdoors as well if you prefer. read more

Wife got the biscuits & gravy & I didn't warn her cuz I wanted her to enjoy her food (we don't have the same tastes). She had the same critique of the dish as I did. Solid bar food. Good portion sizes and a cozy ambience. The beer selection is very IPA skewed which is pretty common in Seattle but they do have ciders on tap which is always a win. The tater tot nachos (tat-chos) sounded really good so we got them to share. The portion was HUGE but a little too focused on the tots and not enough beans and other stuff. I wish it came with pico de Gallo and salsa. That would have made it more like nachos than cheesy tots. The egg sandwich was tasty and so was the Caesar salad. This is the best place. Such delicious and imaginative food and drinks and the most friendly people you'll ever meet. We've been several times and tried most of the menu. My favorites are the Greyhound (with peach and pepper simple syrup) and while it's hard to pick, I can't stop thinking about the SW Salad. Stopped by today for lunch on a random trip to Seattle- so glad we did!! Easy to find, parking in the back (!!!). Cute little place, nice roomy booth, great music, fair prices. I had the pickled egg, interesting and tasty, and the Cubano, which was really good. My guy had the special of the day, the Spicy Pulled Pork Torta, and it was DELICIOUS. Juicy and flavorful and super yummy. He had the caesar as a side, really enjoyed it, and I had the mixed green salad, LOTS of greens (yay!), could have used a couple of other veggies also (tomatoes or cukes or something), but was delicious with the blue cheese dressing nonetheless. We split the totchos- and I don't normally go for tots and actually dislike ranch, but these were really good!!! The roasted corn and black beans with the smoky ranch and crispy tots were a welcome difference from the soggy, standard ones found elsewhere. And (drum roll)... for dessert, the individual apple pies. Shaped like an empanada, hot and juicy on the inside, they come with this absolutely heaven-on-a-plate frangelico whipped cream. SUCH good food! My husband and I were looking for anything to eat after an early morning flight and we made a great - completely random! - choice. Our waitress and the cook/bartender were incredibly kind and offering helpful suggestions to everyone. My husband had a meatloaf sandwich special and I had a breakfast sandwich... DELISH! This is a nice newer casual bar on my ride home from work. It's the first time I visited with a friend but I plan on returning for some more the laid back atmosphere and I enjoyed the story from the owner about how he named the place Uncle Eddie's. I was a little dissapointed tjey were out of the creme beer I wanted to try but that's not their falt, it was the distributer running out. BUMMER. But our waiter was very nice and gave me a few samples of beer until I found one I liked. They have some outdoor seating which was nice but I chose insde. Nice comfortable booths and a beautiful bar. I just like the place. I tried the garlic fires, tots and brisket sandwich and, WOW, I could taste garlic the next morning with the combo of aoli garlic. The fries & tots were excellent; I especially enjoyed the aoli. The brisket sandwich was good but I compare all brisket to mine so it has to be great before I'm impressed. There were many things on the menu that looked good but most items inluded onions so I couldn't eat them. They were able to provide the brisket with no onions so I appreciat that. I actually live all the way up in Lynnwood (use to know some people who live around here) and I noticed this place on the corner. Not sure when they opened, but I haven't been down here in forever.
