My sister's freezer - full of frozen meals from umma kitchen!
    Erisa R.

I can't say enough amazing things about Umma Kitchen. My post-partum sister who lives in Oceanside makes me buy her huge bulk orders so she has meals ready for when she doesn't have time to cook. She is a VERY picky eater, but she's loved everything we've brought her from here! (FAVE Frozen Meals: Galbi Tang, Seolleongtang, Yukgaejang) I spend about $200-$300 every time I come here and it's so nice they have a rewards punch card and also give you free dwaeji gogi if you spend a certain amount. I also love that they offer healthy low-carb sauces and collagen jellies!! And all the Banchan are

Wholesome local banchan shop. Super sweet staff and felt right at home :) loved the chun, but everything was delicious. I love supporting local businesses especially when they're Korean!! Can't wait to come back.

Such an amazing selection of side dishes that all look so delicious. Grabbed braised chicken soup, kimchi and perilla leaves and can't wait to try it out.

Amazing home cooked meal kits. Love all the side dishes and meals here. Definitely worth a visit when you don't have time to cook. Very friendly staff and super nutritious food here. Would recommend it to everyone who's too busy to meal prep and wants the convenience in having a good home cooked meal!

I came to this place for the first time, and found various Korean side dishes and meal kits. The price is reasonable overall and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I give this place a five stars!

The store is so clean and organized- I'm really impressed! I like how they are known for their side dishes but they have other items like protein shakes and Korean snacks. The staff is very friendly as well!

Umma Kitchen is one of my favorite stores. I highly recommend their fresh kimchi, easily the best in LA!! And all of their banchan and frozen soups are to die for. The owners and staff are also super nice and helpful, I truly enjoy the shopping experience here.

This store has a variety of side dishes that are freshly cooked, and looks so yummy. will visit again!!

    Fresh Banchan! All my faves.

I could not resist trying a bunch of delicious banchan from Umma's Kitchen. They had all of my favorite items and they were so friendly. See you again soon, I'll be back for more soon!

This place is clean, and the staff is so friendly. I love the spicy, stir-fried squid and the frozen ground yellow soup for cold noodle soup. I definitely recommend this store.

We had two orders of slippery shrimp, kung pao chicken, eggplants with hot and spicy garlic sauce, juicy steamed dumplings, and pork fried rice. Overall, both restaurants in Chinatown and Pasadena provide great food quality. The ambience was cozy with dim lighting. Our round table had a wooden rotating tray. They have pictures of celebrities and politicians who've visited their restaurant. Service was relatively quick, but there was a 20-minute wait for the dumplings. Valet parking can get difficult when the lot gets full. A few cars entering the narrow driveway had to reverse out of the way to let others leave. The kung pao chicken was very tasty with a good amount of spice. I noticed that the slippery shrimp didn't taste as spicy as the portion from Pasadena. Reviews say that the spice is adjustable. Regardless. it tasted great as it came right off the pan. The pork fried rice was delicious with a savory flavor that didn't seem overpowering. I thought the juicy steamed dumplings were the weakest dish out of our whole order. There wasn't enough flavor and heat from the broth. I didn't try much of the eggplants, but they tasted adequate for me.

Anything you can eat you any night you don't have to cook is usually a great night out. This evening was no exception. Our waitress was kind and accommodating. Everything was prepared wonderfully and had tremendous flavor. I recommend trying their Hui Tou, stuffed with pork or beef, pork and leek pancakes, they also have vegetarian options. Their pork shumai was delicious, xiao long bao's soup dumplings were flavorful. Delicious. I definitely need a second trip here to try their soups and more of their variety of dumplings.

On our most recent visit, we tried the sesame noodles, and I've been daydreaming about them ever since. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the vibes inside are great, and there's a solid drink selection with cocktails, draft beer, and bottled options. And the price point? Outrageously reasonable, especially in this economy. Consistently delicious food, great service, and incredible value. Highly recommend!

The restaurant workers looked more organized vs this location that has more of a traditional Chinese vibe, slightly tired building, not particularly clean, service feels a bit rushed and sloppy. We scored a bottle of 2007 François Cotat Sancerre. Cotat is one of the most iconic Sancerre producers, and because his wines are built to age, finding a 2007 vintage on the menu here was a massive treat. While we didn't dive into the proper cocktail menu, my partner ordered the non-alcoholic Hojicha Orange Milk Punch, which was phenomenal, and judging by how beautiful the drinks at neighboring tables looked, I'd assume their cocktail program is strong.
