    Frozen spongy tamago
    Mallary E.

This was a serious disappointment. The restaurant was empty but for one table- and they were 15 minutes late on my takeout order. The woman didn't care at all when I told her I was in a rush- it was quite frustrating. The food was subpar. The avocado roll was delicious but how can you really mess that up. The tamago (egg) sashimi was still mostly frozen and spongy- cost $12.50 and it was gross Never again

My first time here. It's a medium sized venue on the main strip of the downtown area of Millburn. It's on a one way street with Metered parking. Open feeling interior, with a few outdoor tables & chairs, & the interior front can be opened on nice days/nights. Service was quick. Standard style interior of what you'd expect from a sushi restaurant. I had the Tuna Sushi, Shell Fish Lover, & Hole In One. I'm sad to say I was not impressed with the quality of the sushi here. Not very fresh, & the rice was a bit stale for the Tuna Sushi. I didn't even finish the Shell Fish Lover roll. The flavor mashup got old, fast! Overall, this place would not be a repeat visit for me. Grades: Tuna Sushi: C- Shell Fish Lover: B- Hole In One: A

Came here on recommendation from a Trader Joe's employee. The service is super efficient and the ambience is nice. The sushi was super satisfying and loved that they did lunch specials on a Saturday! 4.3 rounded down to a 4. Would come back if I'm in the area

I came here at 12 on a Friday, I sat down with my friends and immediately was hit with ferociously terrible smell that took away my appetite. Also, expected 4 menus, they gave us 2 menus and when we asked for the extra menus (being 2) the waitress gave us attitude and made fun of us in her native language. I happen to speak the language and knew what she was making fun of us about. My friend was the only one to withstand the smell and still order a drink. He ordered a tai iced tea and when it finally arrived it was mostly made up of milk. It tasted horrible as the stench then populated my mouth after contact. The waitress is horrible, the place in terms of smell is horrific, and the food is an absolute abomination. Please for your sake do not come here as you will have severe stomach issues after the milk. Absolutely terrible waitress!

Sunday and finally a non rainy Sunday! So, we decided to go out, but before the outdoors, we were hungry for some sushi. I just got my gallbladder taken out, so I didn't eat much. I did read the reviews, and a lot of people seemed to complain about service. However, I did have a very attentive service. The place was bigger and nicer than I thought. It goes in a bit deep. Nice to go with your family. The house salad was good. It's bigger than I usually see in other sushi restaurants. We tried the ceviche tacos... they were ok... I was excited for then, but I think it was hard to get the flavors because the fried shell was "thick" (for being small), and all I tasted was a fried tortilla flavor We also got the sexy roll because I love scallops, and it was a very tasty roll indeed! I wish I had something different than what I saw already on Yelp, but I was starving, hahaha. I would go again and try more!

Uni + quail's egg sushi roll - heavenly!

Great selection of raw seafood like amberjack, sea urchin (uni), and live scallops! I arrived at lunchtime on a weekday and a couple other tables were occupied. I sat by the window to take pix. To start, the super tasty Hamachi Crush was totally crush-worthy with super thin yellowtail, garlic paste, serrano pepper, cilantro, and crushed chips. Then it was my first time having uni (sea urchin roe/nads) with a raw quail's egg in sushi roll form and holy huevos!- real eggy goodness with an earthy and slightly briny flavor and custard-like feels. While the Sexy roll was pretty good, 4 items off of the Tasty Sushi Treats submenu (Big Eye Tuna w/toasted garlic chip, King Salmon w/onion and tomato, Kampachi w/yuzu puree, White Tuna w/sweet miso and kiwi) really impressed! Their raw seafood choices, super fresh ingredients, and excellent service make this the best sushi spot in town. Come by and get your sushi on! **Street parking and municipal parking around the corner, accessible off of Old Short Hills Rd. **Note their specials on a board on the wall.

I went with a group of 3 and all ordered ramen and the karaage appetizer, but the karaage was just slightly crispy and barely had any flavor, the sauce really saved that dish but definitely would pass on that dish. All 3 ramens were average. The pork cha shu was tender though which was the highlight, but overall broth was pretty standard. Particularly my miso ramen didn't have that much flavor. Service and staff was a bit slow, but food came out pretty fast. Overall not bad, but will probably give this place another go sometime and try some of the other dishes.

My son's katsu is super hot and crunchy (he said he doesn't want to eat it prior the food come, and ate 1/2 of the chicken!!) that means did you great!!! Rice was a little hard to be honest and corn was ok.. I kinda put them in my ramen.. the black ramen was good.. lots of spinach and thick piece of pork (chasiu).. soup was thick but not too thick!! Noodle was cool perfectly.. only thing is I have to pay to get the egg, but it was cook perfectly!! My son agree since he ate the entire egg.. would definitely come back again.. I wonder if it would get super busy at lunch time since they don't have too many tables (10 maybe), they might be a line out the door.. but 11:30 was a great time!! We ordered the duck bao buns, which were very bland, served without any sauce, and one even had a bone in it. We also ordered the pork belly ramen and seafood ramen, seafood ramen priced at $28 . Unfortunately, these were served in a way that felt unsanitary, with the waitress's thumb touching the plates and inside the bowls. It was very strange and honestly pretty gross. The seafood ramen included crab legs, but we were never offered a crab cracker, and the scallops were overcooked. The broth was decent, but nothing mind-blowing or worth the price. The seating was also uncomfortable. They use high armchairs that felt awkward and impractical. On top of everything, I couldn't get a receipt because they had run out of paper, and I later realized I was double charged for the meal. The one positive is that our waitress was very nice and polite, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to make up for the overall experience. We won't be coming back.

The food is disgusting, the staff and owner are beyond rude and it's clear that they don't care about customer satisfaction in the least- a huge red flag for a food establishment. I hate to leave a bad review and don't often do it, but this one really deserves it. I ordered a dish that I have ordered a million times, did not get what was supposed to come and was yelled at on the phone by the owner telling me that she refused to refund me the money for that dish because if I have ordered it in the past I should have known what I was going to get?? She also told me that the "noodle" dish wasn't supposed to have noodles because this is America and not China (what??) and that the free noodles that come with the soup should be eaten with it in place of them cooking me any noodles. It was floating cabbage in a thin sauce and nothing else. It's really embarrassing that they would feel the need to yell and scream at a customer over the phone because they are trying to order a noodle dish for their kids and actually get what it's supposed to be. Personally, I would have just refunded the $12 or whatever back and moved on politely to any customer if it were me, but now they have lost not just me as a customer but all the friends and family of ours that I can assure you will not be back after hearing about this. The conversation ended with her yelling at me, telling me I was wrong and then very aggressively hanging up on me. Definitely look elsewhere for great food and service..you won't find it here.

This is a nice quiet spot, nice atmosphere, great service from the waitress. I started off with the chicken dumplings, probably the lowest rating food I had. I'll give it about a three and a half, that's because it was a little too wet. The chicken was solely in the middle, so there's a lot of dumpling, not a lot of chicken, i did enjoy the peanut sauce. Then I had some sambal sauce, vegetables, chicken and white rice on the side. Now that was really, really good. Nice and spicy, a great mix of vegetables, very fresh, very filling, super surprised by that. This establishment honestly deserves to be a lot more crowded than it actually was. It was very empty in there, I was the only table in there. But overall, just great service. In addition to that, I was also able to spin a wheel for spending over 60 bucks and got myself a free drink the next time. Highly recommended, pop out if you're in the area. Great overall. .5
