I remembered ordering the Oreo Crème Brûlée boba for the first time and oh my god, the boba was uncooked and the drink itself tasted oily. I heard about the "Buy two rose drinks and get a free bunny bag" deal and decided to try it. But when my friend went to pick up our orders, there was no bag provided (though other customers got them) and the cashier refused to elaborate why aside from replying "No" twice. I guess we'll just add the bag to our order next time? And my friend had to ask for straws because they weren't included this time. :/ read more

I came here again last week and it was as good as ever. The line was actually shorter than usual but I guess it was less crowded for Memorial Day weekend. Usually, there's a bit of a wait but it's pretty worth it! I got the creme brulee boba milk tea and it was delicious. I went with half sweetness and it really made the saltiness of the creme brulee more prominent, but I'd recommend to get it sweeter if you have a sweet tooth! One thing I noticed this visit was that the barista checked all my orders to make sure none of them were leaking. Out of the five milk teas my party ordered, mine was leaky and I saw the barista put on another plastic covering (the type you see boba places usually slap on hot drinks) so that my drink wouldn't spill. I've actually had my drink spill from poorly sealed drinks at other shops in the past, so I was really grateful and impressed by this! Stumbled on this new boba location. Honestly wasn't super impressed, and personally, I thought I was a bit expensive considering how small the cups are. Osmanthus Oolong Milk tea - can't modify the sweetness but it was surprisingly not too sweet. Would order again. Lychee and Peach tea with cheese topping and lychee jelly (30% sweetness) - was able to modify sweetness but it was still super sweet. Unfortunately, this location was a big disappointment for me. I've been to the Cupertino location many times and have really enjoyed it but this location will probably not be a repeat. Positives were that my order was ready and packaged well by the time I picked it up. However, I ordered 3 different drinks, 2 of which tasted like strong tea (good) but barely tasted the peach and mango flavors. This place has a great ambiance. In the strip mall with plenty of other stores this store stands out with its bright coloring and wide variety of teas! The thing that stands out, as I never have seen this before, is their "bunny surprise" I got this selection of tea and it came with a really cute stuffed toy underneath the bubble tea! The bubble tea was really good as well and had a complex flavor to it! The tea wasn't standout but for a low sugar selection it was really good. They give a good amount of quantity and it comes well packaged. The tea took a little longer than expected but the stuffed toy made up for it! Ume Tea is and will be (for a very long time) my favorite boba restaurant in the bay. They have special drinks and a mochi topping I cannot find elsewhere. My go to drink is the Brown Sugar Mochi Boba Milk tea, which is a brown sugar flavor milk tea with soft mochi topping and brown sugar boba. I order it at 50% sweetness, which I feel is a decent amount. It is sweet with a nice touch of a very slight bitterness from the tea at 50% sweetness. The mochi topping is freshly made, which you know by just holding your drink and feeling a comforting warmth from the mochi at the base of your cup. It is soft and melts in your mouth. The other drink I like is the Creme Brulee drink, which is similar except the Mochi is replaced by a sweet and slightly salty creme brulee. There is also an Oreo Creme Brulee drink, which is like the Creme Brulee drink but with additional smashed oreos mixed in. I do not drink that one anymore because of my wheat allergy, but if you are able to consume wheat without a problem, it's a drink that I used to order when I wanted something special. If you are able to order a large size of the drink you want, go ahead! It's always worth it at Ume Tea. The drinks are the highest quality I've ever had, and the pricing is better than other shops I have been to. This shop is a bit busy with both online orders and in person orders, so I would consider rushing to the kiosk right away upon arriving in this plaza. The shop inside is a bit small, but you can wait outside and just look through the window or check your phone for a text for when your order is ready. The wait is usually around 10 minutes for me. I highly recommend this boba shop. Cutest logo ever, wonderful service, and the best boba taste I have had in the bay. read more

My favorite drink to get from them is typically the Lychee Peachy Green Tea Slush with lychee jelly and it is SOOOOO refreshing after a full meal and a hot day! Recently, I tried the The Brown Sugar Boba Oolong Milk Tea with pudding (shown in picture) and it was really good! Their snacks are the best snacks you can order at a boba shop, please order their Fried Mini Octopus! We even bought some for Thanksgiving. Their merch just takes the cake though! They have some of the cutest items on sale and some of their drinks can be ordered in a bucket size!!!! Just happened to look up while the guy was finishing my drink and he pushed the ice down with his bare fingers. He couldn't get it so pushed more and his fingers got in the drink. The front service worker saw the whole thing, put the lid on and tried to serve it to me. I refused the drink and had them make it again. She knew I saw too which was even worse. Service can be slow due to high volume or understaff at times but their food and boba drinks are very much good. I always come here for the fruity drinks and, if not for boba, I'd order their mini fried squid heads. It's the best in town that I know of. I came back here a couple months ago on a weekday evening and ordered a brown rice green tea, 50% sweet no ice, as I was looking for something that was lower caffeine and not high sugar to avoid affecting my sleep. It was pretty good, definitely not that sweet but had decently strong tea flavor, and as usual it comes in their cute branded packaging with their rabbit mascot. You can order on an electronic kiosk to reduce face-to-face contact with the workers given the ongoing pandemic. They also offer a slightly cheaper menu item where it's a surprise what drink you get. I keep forgetting to bring my existing loyalty card so I keep getting stamps on new ones, but presumably the card can be used at any of Ume Tea's locations. read more
