Spent a significant amount of time talking with the owner and interacting with the install staff (Jerry and James). Everyone is friendly and professional. It was a bigger job to tackle, lots of prep involved and a bit of construction going on. It's all pretty neat to watch. The people talking trash on this page, are giving "shady competitor" vibes. Glad we didn't fall for any of that and got to see first hand how great this company is. Installation work looks great, the technology is really cool, and the staff are wonderful. read more

I highly recommend this company for Video Surveillance! Over 30 years in the business, and the most down to earth and trustworthy people I've ever met! read more

This company will take your money and never return your calls to complete the job. What they do install doesn't work and you will have to pay someone else to fix their crap work. The cameras will start failing. Post a review and the owner will respond and act like they don't know who you are. What a joke I'm surprised you're still in business taking a companies money and never completing the job. Think long enough you'll remember what company you screwed or ask your lazy employee James who also doesn't return calls. There should be an option to give no stars on a review read more

I have had several technical problems with the camera software right after installation. I have contacted Jon at least 5 times, but he hasn't answered even once. His service is absolutely horrible and he's not even willing to take care of products under his 1 year warranty. DO NOT go with him unless you want a similarly bad experience. read more

Great company to work with. They do stellar installs, and stand behind their work. IP System is amazing, and i love the option of 4K! If you need IP cameras installed, call Jon! Once you go full HD, you won't want to go back to normal CCTV cameras. Very professional. I like how they go out of their way to make things work for you. Even got the POS system hooked up to the camera system. Very cool! & read more

You always refer to how long you have been in business. All I hear is how long you have been ripping people off. Bay Alarm said you most likely bought the cameras at home depot. I posted those pictures to your yelp profile since you like to say how your bad reviews are from competitors and such. I also have pictures of the unprofessional tech's you sent to my business and the shoddy work they do. It would be nice if your product was half as good as your sales pitch. read more

Ultimate Video & Security - Here are the "high end" cameras this company says they buy.....$10k system lasted less than 2 years. 6 out of 14 cameras failed incl. DVR - Security Systems Near Me - Roseville, California

If you want this guy to log in to your system and sabotage it so you call for a service call, then this is your guy. Totally unethical and overcharges like nobody's business. I received a call to help someone with their system that he installed and he had access too. I found the login datestamp that he had logged in and unattached the hard drives to the software causing system to crash. I reattached and removed his access. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY read more

We have been customers of Ultimate Security over 25 years. The response time when we have an issue is always very quick. They are always so friendly & professional. We've had other companies try to sell us alarm systems but we will never leave because of the customer service we always receive with Ultimate Security. read more

Unresponsive when things need to be fixed. You essentially have to harass and threaten to take your business elsewhere for them to respond.

We have contract ultimate security in April for cameras around our apartment complex, now it is July and I am writing this review cause the work hasn't been completed. I have been over charged 500.00 and still no one is on the site to finish the job. I hate to say it but stay away from John he is a snake. He will squeeze you till he gets a contract and runs your funds out then they will start the job and never complete it. If you have any brains stay away from this company I am now in a nightmare of a dispute with out the job ever getting finished. I may use the law firm that wrote an earlier review to sue this company. read more

Installed security systems at both our businesses and were great, When a small problem arouse, we called and they were out within a day to fix.I would suggest them for security camera work. read more

Stay away from this company unless you like to part with your money. I have paid in advance for work and product and got little of both. If you have trouble with your system good luck in trying to get anyone to help you, they don't answer their phones or respond to your messages. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Avoid this company and Jon Fenton - please do your research before making your decision about using this company. Our install was fine - minimal problems for 16 cameras and 2 DVRs. However Mr. Fenton oversells and under promises once the cameras are installed. He offered a 3 year warranty and about 3-4 months later some cameras and one DVRs stop working properly; he finally fixed these 2 months after we requested a fix. After 13 months from install, the same issues popped up again; this time he has ignored all forms of communication and is not honoring his warranty promise. We are considering using a legal approach to keep help him keep his word but others have told us he ignores letters & calls from lawyers. By the way if you do get on the phone (and not his receptionist) record the conversation!!! read more

Just spent many thousands of dollars with this company. I felt I was being ignored at first since service after the sale was slow, Jon has now taken care of our problems and has come into our operation to see if everything is going well. read more

Jon and his team are excellent. Great customer service and couldn't be more pleased with the camera monitoring system installed on our commercial building. Highly recommend Ultimate Security System. Golden State Fire Apparatus read more

Our Bullet Analog cameras were stolen (this happened in September 2014) and we needed someone to immediately replace them. Customs Security which is an Outstanding Company and were the ones who installed our original system, was not available to help. So I called Ultimate Security Systems because we needed the cameras back up working ASAP. We needed to replaced the two cameras that were stolen and decided to replace an existing bullet camera close to the area the other two were stolen just in case. We, meaning my husband and myself, don't know much about surveillance cameras or DVRs. We got a quote from Ultimate Security Systems as follows: 3 Sony chip color Emerald HD CVI 720P High resolution (1 mega pixel) outdoor vandal resistant dome cameras with an Auto Iris, varifocal lens 2.8 - 12 mm lens and infrared illumination plus One Diamond Emerald eight channel HD CVI digital video with a 2 TB hard drive, flash drive mouse and remote control. The Price: $2,200.00. First of all, let me say that Mr. Jon does not have set people to do the installation. The pictures on his website look really professional but that it is not how it really works. He has various technicians and if they are available, they come in and install the equipment. This will avoid having to paid for workman comp, sick leave and other insurances that by law you will need to pay in order to operate as a business. We went ahead to get the work done. To make the story short: We never got any manuals to understand the DVR. We never got the remote control he promised in the contract. We have a hard time downloading information from the hard drive to a flash drive. He never gave us a little briefing on how to operate the system (we never got the manual to learn how to do it on our own) and even though it says in the contract that the warranty is for one year, he refuses to return our calls back to help us. I believe that word of mouth is the best tool to help a company succeed. What good is it if we call for Jon's help and he does not respond to help us with our problems he left us with. Please don't get trapped like we did. Do your research (we were in a hurry and did not check this company). Jon will NEVER call you back if you have any problems with the equipment even though the contract says One Year Warranty. We are seniors citizens and we believe honesty is the best policy. After all "Jon", we paid for a service you said you could provide. . read more

We have been using Ultimate Security for over 25 years now in the two houses we've had. These have been monitored home security systems that include opening, motion, and glass break sensors. Although the DSC equipment we have installed may be a bit dated now, aside from changing the battery pack every 10 years or so the systems have worked perfectly with no issues. We are looking to upgrade soon to hopefully go wireless and possibly include some cameras as well. Ultimate Security will continue to be our home security choice. read more

Great company!! I had 6 cameras put in at my house, they work perfectly!! Would definitely recommend!!

We contacted Ultimate Security and another security business to get bids to put a camera up outside of our home. Jon was very professional and worked with us to lower the cost. He beat the competitors price and came out the next day. He and his team were professional and friendly. He came out to explain the alarm and camera when we were unsure how to use it. He finished the job and made sure we were satisfied with the job. I would recommend them to a friend. read more

Love our cameras that Jon and crew installed. Very professional installation. The crew was very knowledgable and the technical support is great. During the installation: 1) The crew was very knowledgable and professional. They really know what they were doing. They are very high caliber. 2) The installation was done very professionally. I'm glad they were the ones crawling up in the attic and not me. They mitigated some issues they encountered (wall wiring issues). Because Crystal, James and Rob were very experienced, they were fast and efficient. 3) They are very customer oriented. They made sure I was happy with the way the cameras were setup. I plan to install more cameras this year and will definitely use this company again. read more

If you are looking for a company who won't stand behind their work or products,Never return your phone calls and does crapy work with wiring all exposed outside and charges double and even triple what other competitors charge then this is the company for you. The owner Jon Fenton has the absolute worst costumer service skills I have ever encountered in my life. They came out and bid me almost 6k for a 8 camera home system and I had problems with it from day one and nothing but broken promises to fix WHEN they would answer my calls, 6K might not be a lot of money to some people but it was huge for me. When I put my very large deposit down and he got aprox 70% of his money then it seemed the install date kept getting pushed back and they sent the wrong cameras and now they are short some cameras and some of the cameras don't work....excuse after excuse after excuse, they were supposed to get the remainder balance when the job was complete.Well Jon showed up while they were doing the install and asked for the rest of the money and i told him the job is not complete and he said it will be soon,WHAT A MISTAKE that was to pay him because they couldn't get it all up and running and of course Jon took off the second he got final payment. Then they tell me we will get with the manufacture to figure this out which was nothing but problems. He swore this was the best system you could get but The night vision was so bad they eventually had to come replace all the cameras for a cheaper model of course and boy it took a hundred phone calls to even get that.Months later a camera went out and I didn't even want to deal with him because he is so difficult and likes to dodge his customers ,Well two week ago my power went out and I do have a surge protector but the system stopped recording so as much as I hated to call I figured I'd try and when I did i was shocked to get a call back the same day by one of his installers and Jon couldn't talk to me because he was driving but she told me to power off system and power on,I did and it was still NOT working and next thing I know they said "we will have to get back to you after we call our distributor" which translate to I will never call you back or answer your calls,I called them back two more times with NOTHING. It was such a bad experence with Jon Fenton that I hired a REAL Surveillance company even though I spent 6k on Jons crap it was worth it to pay another $2800 to remove his crap and install a new DVR and New cameras and I got an expensive PTZ camera as well and it was still less than half the price of Ultimate Security garbage they half ass installed. And not to mention the app on my phone is so much easier and can do so much more. This guy is a scam artist and a smooth talker when he wants your money but the second he gets your money he will be completely missing in action. If you are looking for a company who will ANSWER all your calls and ALWAYS get right back to you with fare prices and know everything about their systems and will do whatever it takes to make sure the customer is happy then you might want to call THE CAMERA GUYS I can't say enough great things about them. They came out today and installed everything and had it all up and running in just 3 hours. I will NEVER hire a company again without looking at their YELP reviews. There is a reason Jon has bad reviews take note or be scammed. REPLY: No Jon the system has never worked fine but you would't know that because you don't answer your calls, there have been problems on and off for most of the 3 years I have had it and TRUST ME you didn't do me any favors LOL, I also had to replace my business DVR as well because I could NEVER get any customer service from you guys let alone anyone who knows how to do programming on them. Yes you told your worker to tell me my hard drive crashed after you told me to power it on and off and when it didn't start recording you said oh it's crashed without even looking at it LOL and that is a BOLD FACED LIE that you told me there would be a charge for a new hard drive that was NEVER even discussed ,What you told me is UMMM let me call my distributor and I will call you back and that was the last I heard from you,I guess you don't care when YOUR customer is having issue with YOUR product. Lesson learned you got me for 6k and I was more than happy to pay another $2800 just to not have to ever deal with you again. You are all about EXCUSES and THE BLAME GAME see how that works out for you years to come. It's funny how others have had the same exact issues with you and your company as I have. read more

We've utilized Ultimate Security in our last two homes, going all the way back to the mid-90's, and have nothing but good things to say about the equipment, installation, monitoring, and service. During all this time we've had a bad battery as the only issue. It was over 10 years old and replaced easily. We will definitely use Jion and his company for any of our future security needs. read more

We hired Ultimate Security Systems to install 8 cameras on the exterior of our home. We purchased the cameras and DVR ourselves but didn't feel comfortable drilling holes in the house ourselves. Jon was professional and easy to work with, and he arranged the installation soon after I first spoke to him. The installers, Crystal and James, arrived right on time and did a great job. They were obviously knowledgeable and experienced and worked very hard for several hours getting all the cameras in the best location for surveillance of the key locations (doors, windows, gate, fences.) They cleaned up after themselves and were careful in our home and yard. When it got dark we realized some of the cameras were not pointed in the best direction for the night vision, so I contacted Jon again and asked if they could come back and re-position them. They came back right away and re-directed all the cameras we had a problem with, and they were again friendly and professional and we are really happy with everything they did. I would recommend this company to my friends and neighbors. The price we were charged was very competitive also. Thanks Jon, Crystal and James! read more
