We really appreciated that since I've heard stories of roofers leaving large messes! The initial process was smooth--they gave us a quick, fair quote and got us on the schedule pretty fast. Work quality was solid, but what stood out was their follow-up. We had a couple of minor touch-ups needed on the finish and paint matching afterward, and they didn't push back or rush off. They were patient, scheduled extra visits, and made sure everything was finished to our liking before wrapping up. Solid communication, professional crew, and great customer service. Would definitely recommend them.

He was apologetic and there was no arguing. It was clear he knew what he was doing and he got everything squared away and went above and beyond to reassure me. While I would recommend the other project managers, I'd highly recommend working with Jay. TLDR: Poor Workmanship, Mismanaged Project, and Unresolved Drainage Issues. After spending $10k, waiting 2.5 months, and endlessly micromanaging two different crews, I still do not have working gutters. I hired All About Roofing to replace my gutters, choosing them because of their online reviews and their CertainTeed ShingleMaster Premier credential (matching my roof type). Even though their quote was expensive (~$10k), I decided it was worth paying for quality. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a disaster that required constant micromanagement. First Crew (Incompetent Installation): The initial crew took 4-5 days for what was quoted as a 1-day job. They installed the gutters and guards horribly while damaging my roof. The gutters were sagging, crooked, sloped in the wrong direction, and hung too high, pushing up the shingles so much I could stick my finger underneath. The gutter guards were missized, poorly installed with huge gaps, and several downspouts were missing entirely. The crew argued that this was "the right way to do everything." Second Crew & Project Manager: After making a major complaint, a new project manager (Elijah) and crew removed the old gutters to start over. Given how many issues the gutter guards caused with the first installation, I opted out of the gutter guards. We argued constantly over basic installation standards like hanger spacing, with the team dismissing clear mistakes as my "personal preferences." After significant back-and-forth, they completed what appeared to be a visually acceptable installation and assured me the slopes had been checked. Current Status: Less than two months later, I discovered that most of the gutters were pooling water and failing to drain. Out of five checked gutters, only one worked properly. It took 5-6 calls and texts just to get them to put me back on the schedule. Edited to address their response below: - I discovered the drainage issue because I was cleaning something off the roof of my shed. I then poured 2-3 water bottles worth of water slowly into multiple gutters and saw the water remaining there hours later (pooled the opposite side of the downspout). Normal rainfall isn't needed to know that's not correct. - The team didn't follow up with me even once. I followed up each time: texted Oct 4, called twice and texted once on Oct 5, texted on Oct 6, and called twice Oct 7 before someone finally scheduled me. - Several of the photos posted show the first installation. However, I added new photos to show the current installation. The more I look the more issues I find (e.g., screw holes they made and left unfilled, attaching gutter to the plywood roof sheathing instead of the rafter tails, notching the drip edge, hangers spaced too far apart).

From our first conversation to the finished roof, Joseph earned our trust and our highest recommendation. What impressed us most was his honesty, professionalism, and pride in his work. Joseph is a straightforward, trustworthy guy who does what he says he will do. He communicated clearly, responded promptly, showed up on time, and was consistently reliable. He's also simply a really nice person who is easy to talk to. When you're trusting someone with your home, those qualities matter just as much as technical skill. And his craftsmanship absolutely lived up to that trust. Our new roof looks beautiful, and the care he puts into his work is evident in the finished result. We felt we received excellent value, especially considering the quality of both the workmanship and the service. For our family, the greatest benefit is the peace of mind. Joseph helped make our home more fire-resistant, and we feel much more confident heading into the winter rainy season. We appreciate the beautiful roof every time we come home, but feeling safer under it means even more. I wholeheartedly recommend Joseph and Mastercraft Roofing to homeowners in Palo Alto, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills. He brings together the skill, integrity, and reliability you hope to find in a contractor. We would hire him again without hesitation. Thank you, Joseph, for taking such good care of our home. You've earned these five stars!

Nobody is ever ready to drop a 5 figure dollar amount on a roof, so you'd better find someone you are absolutely comfortable with. After trying to learn as much as I could about roofing, there are three shingle companies that certify their installers : GAF, Certainteed and Owens-Corning. Knowing if you went with their certified installers, a 20+ year warranty would be applied to the workmanship and materials. I sought out a couple of these companies, and decided on trusting a local smaller company, with less salesmanship and less overhead. The world of roofing is huge, as I got bombarded with more than 10 companies reaching out for business. Many specialize in just roofing, others are general contractors that do siding and other constructions . I just wanted a company that's sole business is roofing. This company is Pro Roofing. I got quotes from a large company's salesman with a perfect portfolio and also quotes from a cheaper non -certified , but licensed roofer. Sam's quote was middle rung, and but provided high quality materials. Sam and his crew do wonderful work. Communication is key. They showed up on time, and kept all the appointments. They also took care of the roofing permit. We did a couple of walkthroughs during demo, wood repair, installation and the final inspection. What you need to remember is that after tear off of the old roof, the wood decking hidden underneath the old shingles may need to be replaced, which may incur additional charges that Sam's company charged a very reasonable price. Prepare yourself. Pro roofing has exceeded my expectations. I would NOT hesitate to recommend them to family and friends.

When you hire Miles, you aren't just getting a new roof but a reliable, long-term customer service…read morerelationship. I chose RE Roofing initially back in 2017 to reroof my home because Miles took the time to carefully evaluate my home's unique characteristics (partial flat roof, and partial cathedral ceilings) and craft a venting solution to address all of our moisture problems. Whereas the other companies seemed much less knowledgeable and mainly interested in getting in and out as quickly as possible. Since the reroof, I've had a couple leakage issues with our skylights and suntunnels (which I chose not to replace with the reroofing) and whenever I called Miles, somebody came out the same day to assess the issue and make temporary repairs until I could get a permanent fix for the skylight or sun tunnel. Most recently, I had an awning installed that attached to my roof, but the installers did a terrible job and the roof leaked thereafter. I was a little terrified that nobody would take a small roofing job, but I called up Miles again and he was great at diagnosing the issues and coming up with a custom solution in coordination with the awning installers. It's really great to see how committed Miles is to his customers. Highly recommended!

They also patched several other spots on the roof and we haven't seen any leaks since even with heavy rainfall. Highly recommend.

But it's also a testament that after almost a year in, we've had no issues whatsoever. From the site survey to Final inspection by the City, Ryan and team was there every step of the way. I'm not going to attempt to repeat what's already been said in all the 5 star reviews (which are all correct, but also repetitive). I am offering an alternative view if skepticism remains. The ultimate reason why we chose Saber Roofing, over other quotes that were at or below his quote, was because of the negative reviews. Stay with me here. When you have a multi-decade longstanding business, it is statistically impossible to maintain 100% satisfaction. If you want to understand trustworthiness or how the inner workings of a company is run at a glance, one must look at how the unsatisfied customers were dealt and treated. In all recent cases, you will see each and every claim was handled with compassion and respect with an intent to understand the issue, correct and better themselves going forward. That, IMO, is the hallmark of a great business to deal with. After starting the job, they solidified that hypothesis as I observed the attitudes & dispositions of those working in the "trenches" (or roof in this case). Everyday that the team showed up, all carried great smiles with positive team banter and a general sense of happiness being on site. This only happens when employees are treated well and with respect. We have dealt with numerous home projects in the past and can tell you this is a rarity. Will Saber Roofing be the lowest bid in your search? Probably not. Will they provide you the best quality and service? You bet.

Among the details, the rain chain is made of copper while the gutter is made of aluminum. Having these two metals come in contact could compromise the aluminum over time. So, Saber installed the copper rain chain with a protective barrier. 3) Their client service and sales director, Jake, was super helpful and extremely responsive to all my questions. 4) The crew was very efficient, provided high quality workmanship, and left the site spotless. 5) The gutter guards that were installed provide a really fine barrier to prevent even small debris from entering my gutters, but are easy to rinse so that fine particles can be washed through the gutters. 6) The two downspouts that were installed were matched to the color of our trim. Other companies offer limited colors or simply white downspouts, but Saber offers a wide variety. 7) Their pricing is very competitive. From end to end, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Saber Roofing.
