It has been over a decade since I've been coming to this place for my car washes and ceramic coating. They do a solid job and the prices are good for the quality you get. Everyone here is friendly and efficient. Steve, the owner, is great to work with and used to man the front of the house here. However, I've noticed that he's not always here and he has someone else taking care of the phone calls and checking in. All in all, great service from everyone. Prices are up-to-date on their website, which I appreciate. My girlfriend comes here regularly to get her car cleaned, and since I hadn't had mine professionally cleaned in a couple of years, I was actually really excited to try it out. First thing to note--this place is easy to miss. I embarrassingly drove right past the entrance the first time because it's a pretty small opening and hard to spot if you're going even a little fast. Had to loop around the block and try again. Also, there's only space for about two cars to queue before you're basically spilling into the street. My girlfriend and I parked one behind the other, and honestly, another car behind us would've been halfway in the road. There is street parking nearby though if their little alcove is full. When we pulled in, there was a ton of activity--cars constantly moving through, getting cleaned, etc.--so it's clearly a popular spot. My girlfriend mentioned there have been times she's come and had to leave because the line was backed up into the street, so I think we got pretty lucky timing-wise. Price-wise, I think it's solid. For an exterior wash + interior clean, it felt reasonable. Since we came together, I think they held our cars to finish around the same time, so it ended up taking about 1-1.5 hours. Honestly not bad, especially since there are a bunch of cafes and restaurants within walking distance if you want to kill time. They also have a really nice waiting area--I even saw someone working on their laptop, so I'm guessing they might have Wi-Fi too. Now... my one big issue. They threw away my parking sticker. You know those apartment gate stickers that automatically open the gate? I had mine on my dashboard (still on the original backing because I sometimes lend it to friends who watch my cats). I get that it might not have been in the usual spot, but it very clearly wasn't trash. What made it more confusing is that they didn't even fully clear out small trash in my car--there were still a couple random paper/sticker backing pieces left behind, so it's not like they were just tossing everything indiscriminately. Also, for context--my car was clean going in. I don't keep stuff in my car beyond a reusable grocery bag or my tennis bag sometimes, and this was one of the rare times I even had a little bit of trash. So I don't think this was a situation where my car was cluttered and something got accidentally swept up in a bigger cleanup. That part was honestly frustrating. Overall, I would come back because they did a good job cleaning the car and the price is fair--but I'd definitely make sure to remove anything remotely important beforehand so there's no confusion next time. read more

I recently acquired one of my dream car but unfortunately was hit with the rain when I acquired it so never had a proper wash. Once the sun hit I wanted to get my car wash especially with being a first time convertible owner and wanted to make sure it gets property care. This exceeded my expectation for such an affordable price especially during this economy. There's no "silver gold platinum" washes like other facilities it's one $40 wash (more depending on the size of your vehicle) mini details and full details if you decide so and just add ons. I set up an appointment to get my interior detailed for my car last week and I dropped it off and it came back immaculate! They stated 3 hours for my car to be fully detailed and ready to go but I got a phone call saying it was ready at around 2 hours and 30 mins from when I dropped it off which was pretty fast. My interior felt brand new when I got inside and I liked how they put anything I left in the back in a white plastic bag so nothing would get wet or damaged when they did their detail. They also gave my car a rinse for free which I thought was a nice touch. I dropped off my car initially and took an uber home and luckily it wasn't too expensive. The staff were quick with payment and there was free coffee on the side and a little lobby area to hang out in if you were just there for a wash. I highly recommend coming here for detailing if you are looking to get one done for the inside or outside of your car. They are reasonably priced and lower than most other spots in OC. read more

Giving 2 stars because sometimes the work is good. However, I will not be bringing my vehicle back here, nor will I recommend them to my family or friends any longer. Recently had a full detail done on my explorer and noticed two scratched on the outside of my rear passenger windows. Emailed the owner and brought it back by. He couldnt feel the scratch on the outside (its there) or the inside and told me it seems like the window is separating from the inside and to go back to Ford and ask why its happening. I felt brushed off and it seemed like they didnt want to own up to the mistak. I went to Ford and they clearly felt the scratch on the outside and said more than likely, a dirty rag or a rag with some debris (ie a small rock) was used and casued the scratches or the person detailing the car had a ring or jewlery on. Pretty disppointing experience and I have used this business for a few years now, as do my brother and father. My recommendation is, take pictures of your care before you drop it off, just in case. I am very good about noticing dents, dings, scratches, etc on my car and there was no window scratch when I dropped it off for the detail. My other complaint, much like a customer below is I paid $400 for a full detail and that includes inside carpet cleaning, when I picked up the vehicle the windows were all rolled down about a 1/4" to let the car dry and of course when I rolled them back up later, the 1/4" was streaky and now dirty because they were rolled down when wet. Pretty strange when you pay that much to have a full detail done. I also always seem to have dried wax left over on my car after they do the detail, again when you pay $400 for a full detail, I shouldnt have to clean up anything or wipe down any wax residue. read more

Then I decided to bring my truck that has lots of minor scratches due to off roading trips. they have done the exterior details work with buffing polishing and waxing. Paid $44 for a full service carwash for my Bronco after getting back from a camping trip. Needless to say my car was in dire need of a cleaning both inside and out. They were detail oriented and finished in a reasonable amount of time. To be fair I'm ok waiting longer because the workers clean meticulously. What irks me is when you wait and still have to point out all the spots they missed- not the case with Ultimate Custom Care. The waiting room was clean and they provided free coffee and some magazines to read to pass the time. Upon completion they pull your car around front and off you go. Kinda bummed to write this review, but I think I might've just had my last service here. I'm not looking to bomb the business hence the 4 star review, but the last couple visits really haven't been great. I really liked this place and have bragged about it for years. I've had countless car washes and details here and have even spent some decent money on their ceramic coating products. But this review, although 4 stars, isn't a good one. The good is they do good work overall. I will 100% say the ceramic products are great n worth it. Kept my paint looking like glass for years. The staff is nice and the main guy or owner is nice and very personable and remembers clients as well. This leads me into the bad, or more so my most recent experiences. I had a detail done a while back and it was less than stellar. Then I got a car wash shortly after that and had a similar experience so I gave em a break for a while. I needed a thorough wash for a car I'm selling so recently went to them again. The actual car wash/cleaning was great I'm sure, but due to lack of parking I was told when I picked up they had to park my car across the street in another business parking lot (not far at all, literally just across 1st street, that itself isn't the issue). When I crossed the street n got to my car after paying i was able to see they parked it immediately under a tree. I know they don't have foresight but after a car cleaning, parking under a tree is an obvious no no. So my car had leaves and debris on it as well as a bunch of pollen within the hour or so it was parked there. Was obviously bummed n annoyed but hey, anyone can make a mistake so it is what it is. Got it home n dusted it off and it was fine. This leads me to my most recent visit. My wife was kind enough to drop the car off for me and pick it up. I literally always handle this but I couldn't today so she did, so she has no idea what is or isn't abnormal. Got a full detail done and over 300 for it. Honestly the detail itself is great. A few streak marks and spots were missed that I had to wipe down when I got home but they came off easily enough. But for some reason they decided to roll down all 4 of my windows about 1/4 of the way down. My wife said it was like this when she picked it up, just thought it was normal. Well that was an immediate red flag to me. So I had to windex and re clean all 4 windows inside and out. And a couple of them I had to work on pretty hard. At the end of the day these might seem minor. But if I'm paying for a service to clean my car, having to consistently clean it more due to silly mistakes after the fact isn't ok. Especially if I'm spending over 300 dollars on a detail. Having to wipe streak marks and water spots from various areas of the car followed by legitimately having to clean my windows inside and out is an issue. I wish this business the best of luck, but I'm going to have to take a break again. I'm a glutton for punishment and really do try and use local businesses so there's a good chance I'll be back at some point, I do hope this improves by then. read more

This is the best car wash I have been to in Orange County. Prior to discovering this place, I've been driving out to Walnut for car washing, but I love having a local spot. The washes and details are very meticulous. It's also great for the price. They do a good job, stay accurate to the time quoted, and have a great waiting room. You're also a close walk to Old Town Tustin if you don't want to wait in their room. I would recommend calling ahead to see how the wait is, and if you're getting a detail, definitely make an appointment. read more

This is a long overdue post, but I've been coming here for over 7 years. I used to live close by a few years ago, but now I have to drive pretty far out to get to Tustin now but it's worth it. My car is pretty much spotless with no water marks on the windows when they're done. I have asked to spot clean a few areas before and they make sure to really take care of it even if after I get my car back and need some extra touch ups, they'll gladly do it with a smile. Awesome customer service. Their waiting room is spacious and sooo clean. I always bring some work to do. There are plenty of tables and outlets around that I use to charge my phone or devices if I need. I get the discounted prepaid card. It is a package of 10 full car washes, and it's a great deal cuz you save a good amount of money on it buying in bulk. If you want to wax your car, I think they'll just deduct 2 out of your package of 10 washes. Phenomenal deal that keeps me coming back. My friends have come here and they're really happy with the service too. If you ever need anything else after the wash is done, they always fix it for you and seem to make sure you're happy with the service. Aside from the car washes I normally get, I trusted them do a ceramic coating service on my car last year and they did an amazing job. I bought a brand new car and decided to get the ceramic coat to protect the paint. That price is a little over a thousand dollars, but it's worth it if you value taking care of your car. Once you get a ceramic job done, I believe you don't have to wax your car anymore. I think the owner said it damages the ceramic coating and waxing is not needed anymore. My car stays super shiny, smooth, and has a candy gloss that really stands out. It really makes a difference because it protects the paint and it also prevents dirt, bird droppings, and other stuff from adhering to the surface. I hate dust and my previous car used to attract so much of it. Nowadays, if there are old bird droppings on my car, I can easily wipe it away with little effort if it hasn't already slid off the ceramic and flown off while driving. It literally just slides right off cuz of the clear coating. My car stays clean for longer and I find myself not having to get my car washed as often. I highly recommend the job if you want to take care of your car and have it stand out! I love the shine. It definite adds more luxury to my car. read more

I really should have taken photos of what my car looked like before. Dried mud and water stains littered the interior of my 2015 Toyota Prius C for a couple years. I've always said I'd get around to finding a place to do some interior detailing but never got around to it. Fast forward to this weekend when someone threw up in the front passenger seat, I asked around for recommendations. My car came back looking so new on the inside that I felt bad letting my shoes touch the pristine floor mat. The people who work here are meticulous and clearly have pride in what they do. I don't always keep the family fleet immaculate, but on meaningful mileage anniversaries, I take them to Steve to celebrate. He has the only team that can completely remove the patina of glitter, sand and snack crumbs my kid has put down in the back seats (did I mention I also love the play-based philosophy of Tustin Community Preschool?). They even found my kid's long lost pet rock, polished it, and left it in a cup holder for her! They are so close to Old Town amenities, it is easy to drop the car off and literally scoot to our favorite spots (Peppertree park, Library, Weds Farmer's Market, Arvida, myriad cafes) while the car is getting its glow up. 10/10 read more

Saturdays can be busy and the wait can be up to 2 hours, but there is space to sit and work. The five star reviews are warranted. I will be back. My 17 year-old car looks showroom brand new. The oxidation on the roof, hood, and trunk is gone along with the oxidation on the headlamps. The car really does look brand new despite it being a 17 year-old car that lives outside that is never garaged. The price was quite reasonable and a great value given the quality of the work and the results. I'm more than pleased. I made an appointment to get an exterior detail for my 2017 Honda Civic before turning it in to the dealership. I never got it detailed before and it had swirl marks, and scratches here and there that I wanted to clean up. I contacted Steve via Yelp Messaging and I was able to set up an appointment through the app. Super painless and easy! I arrived at a little before 8AM (my appointment time) and was immediately greeted by Martin. I told him what I was in for and handed him the keys. 3~ hours later, I got the call from Martin my car was ready. Drove back and saw my car sparkling in the sunlight. I forgot how shiny a car could be! They parked it across the street as their front sidewalk was filled up with cars waiting to be picked up or drove in to get washed. Martin ran out to bring the car back to the front. While he was out, he noticed a few spots and immediately went back out with a towel to clean it off. Amazing -- these people care about these cars and your satisfaction! Making sure it's returned to you as you expect -- clean & spotless with no other marks or debris or whatever (they do have trees lined up on the sidewalk in front FYI). I drove away with everything look so sparkly, and bright, and clean! And most importantly, when I turned in the car, the dealership was praising me for taking such good care of the care! "We want to buy your car! It is pristine!" I never got a car detailed so this was my first experience, and I'm glad to say this was an overall positive experience. I've taken the same Civic here to get a regular wash and left satisfied too (didn't have a chance to write a previous review). I felt it was necessary now that I did a 'bigger' job. This is a very long overdue review since I have been coming to Ultimate Custom Car Care for over a decade! I can happily report that the quality and attention to detail, no matter what service you need/want, has never changed over the years. I have gotten my car detailed, washed, and more - each and every time, I am happy with the job that they do. Some days and times are busier than others, so you can always try to call ahead of time to double check wait times but my experience (for car washes at least) is that it takes between 1-2 hours depending on the day and time. I normally try to make a fun time out of the wait by stopping by Cream Pan for some pastries or food beforehand. If you want just a coffee or something to sip on, check out White Sparrow Coffee nearby. Long story short, thank you Ultimate Custom Car Care for always providing the best services. Everyone at the office was very friendly and the quote and time estimate was correct, but I'm very disappointed in the quality of the interior detail I received. My car looked great upon receiving it yesterday but today this is how their work had dried, leaving white streaks all over the interior of my car.
