Even before purchasing a new 2026 Genesis GV70 for my wife I began an extensive research process to find the very best paint correction and ceramic coating applicator I could find in Orange County. After weeks of research, evaluation and reading reviews I settled on Innovative Detailing in Tustin CA. I contacted Dave for information about the process and a quote. Dave was a wealth of information and it was obvious not only was he knowledgeable and skilled but had a passion for producing the finest detailed cars possible. He sent me a full written description of the process, the products used and a quote comparable to other high-end detailers. Dave had the vehicle for approximately a day and a half and during the process he sent me progress photos and updates. When we picked up the car I couldn't believe the improvement in the car's appearance at the dealer and after he completed his work.....it was stunning! Not only was the vehicle paint restored to a lustrous shine and ceramic coated but the wheels and other surfaces were treated as well. Its clear Dave takes great pride in every car he details and as a one man shop he does all of the work himself so you don't have to worry about "who" does the actual work once the money is paid. Quality and Customer Satisfaction is Dave's "JOB ONE"! As a bonus Dave sends a complete list of care and maintenance instructions and products to ensure the vehicle remains in pristine condition throughout its life. Along with the other car owners who take pride in driving a finely detailed vehicle I wholeheartedly recommend Dave and Innovative Detailing to everyone desiring to take their car's appearance to the next level! read more

I am SO happy with the job David did on my new RAV4! Despite my car being only a couple of months old, it had swirls and minor scratches in the clear coat. NOTE: Never use automated car washes! I will be washing my own car from now on! David carefully removed the imperfections and applied a ceramic coating. He also installed protective film coating on my headlamps. The dealer had installed this film on parts of my front hood, but not in some areas vulnerable to scratches. The final results look fantastic! In addition to the fine work David did on my car, he followed up with lots of photos of the process and the final results. And he sent a detailed email containing all the information and links to products that I need to keep my car looking beautiful going forward. I highly recommend David and Innovative Detailing and will be returning in the future. read more

Dave recently did a paint correction and ceramic coating to my 2021 Lexus LX570 SUV. I plan on keeping this V8 beast for the full engine life and want the cosmetics to hold up too. His work was very thorough and I am pleased with the result. Pricing was good compared to other quotes, and I have a real preference for supporting locally-owned businesses like this. Plus Dave also provided a punchlist of items needed to properly care for the coating. I researched some and then basically bought everything he recommended. read more

I brought my Porsche 356 Speedster to Dave and was amazed with the results. He was able to remove some scratches that I didn't think would come out. I was so relieved and truly impressed with Dave's knowledge and understanding of cars, paint and the details. I then randomly bumped into Dave at a Cars and Coffee and was able to chat more with him and see and understand that not only does he have decades of experience but a real passion for all things cars. This was the year to bring back the new car look on my red 2011 Lexus 200h CT since she is not going anywhere! We turned to our car care expert and friend Dave Sylican at Innovative Detailing. We have known Dave for 25 years and we know he is the best in the business. He kept our vehicles like new for years and has applied the clear bras for both our vehicles. He travels to train and keeps up with the latest in exceptional fine car care. The Lexus 200h CT is a low profile vehicle so she had her front underbody scraped many times taking driveway exits! We started with a repair at an auto body shop before we brought the car back to Dave for the removal of the old clear bra and detailing. We then brought her back for the application of the new clear bra. We then brought her back for the third visit and had him apply a 5-year ceramic coat. The Lexus red paint has remained incredibly intact over the years, but after all the meticulous and expert work Dave completed, she looks brand new. If you want the best car care for your new or aged vehicle from the most talented and best technician in the business, take your vehicle to Dave. You will be so happy with the results. I bet Dave can post some incredible pictures of my vehicle to go with this review so you can see for yourself what we are talking about. The "we: is my husband and me since - he helped pay for her facelift! The "she" is because she is my lovely red Lexus 200h CT and she really looks fantastic now! Oh, and I forgot - Dave recommended a local wheel vendor who came to the house and took the wheels off and took them to the shop and blasted them and then powder coated them. They returned in two days and put the wheels back on - and that was the beginning of her makeover. If you see her on the street - she is not for sale! Thank you, Dave!! read more

Dave did an excellent job installing PPF on my 911. Great attention to detail and quick service.

Dave is a person who cares about detailing cars. Some other detailers seem to only care about acquiring new customers and money while Dave gives free advice on different detailing aspects. It really seems like he cares about spreading knowledge on car detailing. I got my car ceramic coated by him. He did a great job. Very quick and responsive communication. I would totally recommend him for future detailing references. read more

I ended up here because I needed to get paint correction, ceramic, and PPF done on my car in short order since I was taking it to an event. Well I'm glad that I came across Dave because he was knowledgeable, meticulous, and honest. He was able to take my car where the paint had been abused over the years from shoddy care and cleaning (my fault!) and bring it back to a glistening beauty. The car literally has not looked this good since probably the day I bought it! And he got it done in 2 days. It should be noted that he only takes in 1 job at a time because he prides himself on doing a good job and likes to focus his attention. Suffice it to say, I was happy with the results, he was a pleasure to work with, and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back to him again in the future when the need arises! read more

Dave is The Man. I bought a brand new Focus in July, and refused to get it washed, just because I really didn't want anyone touching it and messing it up. Found Innovative Detailing through a quick Yelp! search, they just happened to be conveniently located next to my job. Got a hold of Dave, had him look at my car, booked him ASAP, and couldn't be any happier. I got a basic detail for the most part, with a polymer coating, and damn, it looks amazing! Seriously great work, the car looks better than it did the day I drove it off the lot. Thank you so much again Dave, truly a master at your craft. read more

Highly recommend Innovative Detailing. We had some water spots etched into the front windshield and hood along with some paint defects on our black Tesla Model 3 (pics attached). Dave looked at our car before we agreed to go with him and went over everything that he is able to remove. We looked at a few other places as well and none of them gave us the same time and attention as Dave. We decided to get the ceramic coating and the car looks amazing. All the waters spots and paint defects are gone and the car looks brand new. In fact, it looks better than the day we got the car! Another thing we liked about Innovative Detailing is that Dave does all the work himself. He doesn't just pass the car along to employees. We will be taking all of our future cars to Dave. We absolutely recommend Innovative Detailing. read more

I did David's 'New Vehicle Preparation' and Ceramic Coating. Per David's advice, I asked the dealer to leave all the wrappings on the car when the dealer took delivery of my R8. I then took the car straight to David's shop for new vehicle preparation and ceramic coating. What I liked most about Innovative Detailing is 1) he works on my car himself, 2) there's constant communication, update, and pictures on the progress!, and 3) lastly, the final result. I chose to use David again for our Tesla Model X. My Tesla delivery had to be delayed by several weeks since there were paint defects. It was great to have David provide input on whether the paint issues were material or not. After consulting him, I decided to postpone delivery and have the paint issues resolved. Tesla later delivered the Model X in August. Dave did the new vehicle prep/paint correction and had xPel clear bra for full frontal, rear bumper and A Pillars applied on the same day. I dropped off my car around 11:30AM on delivery day and picked up the vehicle at the end of the day. The work was excellent and our car wash company commented on how well it was applied. read more

Dave did an amazing job on our WRX STI. Very happy with the workmanship and attention to detail. I got pricing from several Xpel installers and although they were several hundred dollars cheaper, I went with Dave. In college I've done detail work and vinyl application and realize that you get what you pay for. After talking to Dave and seeing some of his past work, I went with him. After receiving the car back, I am very very pleased with the work. I couldn't even tell the Xpel was on; the micro swirls are cleaned up and a glass coat was put on. The car looks show room ready. I can tell Dave takes pride in what he does. It's like art to him. He demands the same perfection from himself as you would from him. I will definitely be bringing my cars for him to detail and protect. read more
