This is my second time getting service done at OC Tint Shop to get windows tinted and a gold package ceramic coating. They did an exceptional job on my windows as well as the ceramic coating. The car looked even better and newer than when I picked the vehicle up from the dealership. As for the tints, I got 20% on all windows and 75% on the windshield. I had my Mom's car tinted by this shop about 8 years ago and it still looks great. I recently bought a Lexus NX SUV and I needed to find a tint shop that could tint the windows and black out the chrome around the windows. Chrome delete is becoming more common nowadays and it gives the vehicle a cleaner look. With that being said, most tint shops that I contacted only tinted windows but were willing to refer me elsewhere for chrome delete services. With that being said, I contacted OC Tint Shop and was put in contact with Travis. I explained to Travis that I didn't want my windows to be tinted heavily because I didn't want a fix it ticket. So he gave me the rundown on pricing and let me know that they do book up about a week in half in advance. I needed this done before my summer vacation was over as I would be returning to work soon. He was able to book an appointment for me within the next week at their Irvine location. When I spoke with Travis, I was a little surprised that they want people to put down a deposit for half of the amount. I was fine with it because the business had been verified. He also sent over a Docusign Document for me to agree to the services and fees. I was pretty sure that I was going to go through with the whole process, so I paid the deposit and signed the documents. Most shops don't make you go through all of this, but it showed that they were pretty organized. Anyway, I dropped the vehicle off at their office. When I walked in, I noticed the wall had various colors for car wraps. They also had examples of tint films on the wall for customers to choose from. With me only needing the side windows tinted, we selected the tint film that worked best for me and I left my vehicle overnight. The next day, I received an email and text when my car was ready. I paid the balance and my husband gave me a ride to the shop to pick up my car. I could see my vehicle in the parking lot and was able to inspect their work. The car looked great! When I sat inside, I could feel the difference. It was night and day from how it was when I bought it the week before and how it felt when I was in it post-tint. I was pleased with their work. Before I left, I asked about their record keeping process. The chrome delete has a one year warranty and the tint has a lifetime warranty. The reason what I asked about their record keeping process is because the tint shop that I used 4 years ago told me that I had to hold on to the receipt in order for them to honor the warranty. In other words, they didn't keep those records. OC Tint Shop was different! Everything was well-organized! They have records back to when the shop opened more than 10 years ago. That made me feel confident with the quality of their work. Before I left, I took advantage of the free snacks and sodas because it was a hot day and I needed a soda for the drive home! :) I am very pleased with the quality and detail of their work and product that they produced. If I have any issues in the future with the tint, I know that they will stand behind their product. OC Tint Shop is pricey compared to other shops in the area, but it was one of the few shops that could do both services for me. I highly recommend OC Tint Shop when putting those final touches on your vehicle as you add comfort to your drive on hot days. read more

OC Tint is the best! My car looks like a brand-new Midnight Edition. ​Chris and the crew at OC Tint are amazing! I brought my stock Chevy LT in for a chrome delete and window tint, and the transformation is incredible. They did a flawless job on the headlight bezels and the big chrome strip on the grill, completely changing the car's look. I also really appreciate Chris's advice on the Chevy emblem. While they couldn't do the chrome delete on it due to the bumpy texture he gave me some great suggestions.(Open to others) ​The only thing I did myself was install a new black grille I bought, which paired perfectly with their work. This one-star review is for thier vehicle wrapping only! They also tinted our windows and those are still holding up... 2 years ago, I brought in my wife's new 2022 Hyundai Palisade to add window tint and black wrap to the top of the car to match the look of our Range Rover. It looked great initially, but we had to return it a few weeks later because the mirrors and roof started peeling and bubbling up, and corners came up. They did fix the mirrors and the top for free under warranty. 2 Months later, it started doing it again, but it was not very noticeable, so I let it go, etc. After 16 months of the wrap being on the vehicle, it's peeling, cracking, faded, and looking terrible. For some reason, I was under the impression that there was a lifetime warranty or at least a two or 5-year warranty on the materials, so I waited to get past the holidays and rainy season before I called OCTint, to see if we could get it re-done or see what my options were, etc. When I called they made it clear they only have a one-year warranty on thier wraps. I told him about the situation, and they asked me to email some pictures. I emailed them, stating I understood it was not under warranty, and asked what it would cost to remove and reinstall the wrap. I was not looking for any handouts or free work but hoping they would at least knock off a few bucks to re-do the installation again since it's had problems two months in, etc. I also asked if there was a better, more costly material we could use that would last longer this time, etc. I was willing to pay for the upgrade if needed. They called and informed me that it lasted only a short time because we didn't keep it up properly. Their wraps require hand washing and wax every week, and they advise thier clients to schedule weekly hand washes at their homes to maintain thier warranty for the entire year or longer. They also advised me they could not remove the wrap, install a replacement wrap, and call a body shop. This is where they lost me as a client! I own several businesses in the area, so I can easily understand sometimes falling short on warrants, customers' expectations, etc., but you always try to fix the situation yourself, especially if the client is willing to pay. The fact they told me to go somewhere else was beyond disappointing. Apparently, on thier website, they specialize in exotic cars, but a Hyundai Palisade was too difficult for them to handle. If you get a wrap from them, I would get the warranty and maintenance in writing beforehand and expect them not to help you after the warranty period. read more

I have had several cars done here over the years. The service and quality are top notch. So why am I dinging 1 star off the score? Well, each car I did included a visor tint band. This is really helpful, especially, for windshields that do not include any tinting in the visor area (I'm not concerned about heat through the windshield but more about the glare from the sun, especially as it gets lower in the sky). But, I just did another car and they said they do not do visor tinting anymore. Explanations given were; it's illegal, they could get a big fine, the tint comes off too easily, too difficult to cut bands by hand, can't make money and so on. I even went to the Mission Viejo store, which also does not do it (the person told me he doesn't need tinting because he wears sunglasses). I've called some other shops and will take my car there. I think it's a shame because I really want to give my business to OC Tint and would not look elsewhere, but now I have to in get what I want. If you don't need a visor tint band then consider them, but if you do, then you'll need to go elsewhere . . . sadly! Reply to Mike's response: Thank you for your reply. I think the last time I was in was 2021 when I had 2 vehicles tinted. Both received visor tint. I was told it was illegal by one person in the shop. I looked it up and confirm shat you state that up to 4" is allowed. I brought that up to the individual who stated he just knew they'd get a big fine if they did it. For me, the objective is to reduce glare. It helps during all daylight hours, especially when the sun starts moving into the area of the upper part of the windshield. I'm light sensitive plus have had eye surgery do I was looking for a solution to address that. I can appreciate the issues you note from the business side. I recently had my brand new vehicle tinted at OC Tint shop in Irvine. Their shop is not near my home, and although their price was higher than some of their competitors, their reviews were good, so I decided to go with them after shopping around. I was under the impression that the job would only require minor time off of work for me to drop off and pick up my vehicle and two trips for my wife's vehicle to go back and forth (since she was taking me to work and picking me up that day after drop off). That unfortunately, was not the case. When the first tint job was complete, I was told to give it a week for the flaws in the tint to resolve. I waited over a week and the tint flaws were still there and very obvious. I brought my vehicle back to the Irvine location and they re-tinted 5 of the 9 windows including the windshield. They did not replace the tint that was over-cut on the moonroof stating that "they could not tint that particular area because of the window design". I didn't question them or press them to do re-do it, but that information would have been appreciated prior to tinting and payment. Another week went by and there were still bubbles and lines in the windshield tint. I arranged for more time off of work, as did my wife, to take my vehicle back for a third time. They kept my truck over the weekend (3 days) to replace the tint on the windshield. When I arrived for pick up, I noticed similar flaws in the tint, but was assured that the flaws would go away. Once again, I waited approximately two weeks and the flaws were still there. Knowing that my windshield is large and difficult to tint and trying to be understanding, I called Travis (the manager) and asked if he would prefer to do the next tint job at his Mission Viejo location to ensure that it was done properly. I was willing to drive even further just to make sure I didn't have to return again. He stated that all of his technicians were capable of doing the job and scheduled an appointment at the Irvine location. OC Tint shop in Irvine tinted my windshield again and I waited 3 weeks for it to cure, as they recommended. To my dismay, this job had the same result with similar flaws in different locations. At this point, I asked Travis for a PARTIAL refund and offered to have the tint removed (at my own expense) and replaced elsewhere, as I did not want to request any more time off of work to drive to his locations. He said that OC Tint Shop does not offer refunds and insisted on a fourth appointment in Mission Viejo on a Saturday morning, so that he could "look at it first". He refused to allocate time to re-tint the same day even though he knew how many times we had driven back and forth and how inconvenient it was for us. When I arrived (and prior to him viewing the tint) he prefaced the conversation with "I can point out imperfections in every tint job" and "No tint job is ever 100%". I should have known based on his comments, that things were not going to go well. After viewing the windshield he said "If this was my vehicle, this would be an acceptable installation". He did, however, schedule a fifth appointment in Mission Viejo for the following week, but refused to do it on a Saturday, as I requested, so that we would not have to take more time off work. I reluctantly agreed as it seemed I had no other choice at the time. Low and behold, this next (and last) tint job had more flaws than of all of the previous attempts. I called and let him know of my dissatisfaction and he proceeded to argue about it every step of the way, while still not offering any type of refund. He asked if I could bring my vehicle back the same day or the following day (Saturday) to see if they could fix the issues before it cured. I drove down to their Irvine location a SIXTH time early Saturday morning. I told them that if they could not fix the flaws, then please remove the tint. They were able to get some of the flaws out of the windshield, but again, the job was still not acceptable for a $1700 tint job. They ended up removing the windshield tint that day. For each of these trips, I had to take time off of work and time out of my wife's work schedule to drop off and pick up the vehicle. Not one time during this process was there an apology for my time, my wife's time, the added miles on both of our vehicles or an offer for a fair refund. Travis instead made me feel like I was being too picky and he was doing me a favor by redoing it each time. He was very argumentative and insulting in the end. I am a very patient person, but he certainly found a way to burn through my patience. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I feel ripped off, mislead and gaslit. I would absolutely not recommend doing business with him. He has no regard for your time, vehicle or money. read more

Their office is super clean and you can tell they take pride in their business.
