They also provide instructions on aftercare, as well as a complimentary follow up to ensure the film is cured properly. I was a bit worried about selecting the wrong shop to do my PPF. I researched online for months, talked to a number of shops, and visited 3 in Orange County. I finally decided to go with DAS and I have no regrets whatsoever. I needed a shop that could remove the old, dealer installed "ppf" that cane with the car, install some aftermarket body parts I brought with me, modify my exhaust, then add colored PPF. I primarily worked with Michael. He walked me through the entire process, was transparent about their pricing, and was patient as I had quite a but of scheduling conflicts due to work/travel. A week before we had to bring the car in, I accidentally got a minor dent and small scratches on the Tesla. I found Diamond Auto Salon on Instagram and was impressed that they have three locations in So. Cal. and their shops are clean, detailed and spacious. After contacting several other shops, I encountered long lead times or difficulty getting formal quotes. I contacted Freddy at Diamond Auto Salon at the Costa Mesa division to get a quote on my new Tesla 2026 model Y Juniper. Freddy was courteous, and knowledgeable in regard to the options of products, specs, and warranties. I was looking for a single source vendor that could provide paint protection film, window tinting and powder coating of my 20" rims. Freddy quoted me and followed up several times with me via E mail, text and phone calls. I eventually made the decision to select Diamond to fully wrap my car in a satin PPF, ceramic coat the entire car including the rims, tint all my windows, and powder coat my rims to a matte black. I drove my car directly to their location after inspecting the vehicle for pick up from Tesla in Buena Park. I spent weeks researching where to get my Porsche 911 Carrera S custom PPFed, ceramic coated, with windows tinted. Here's why I chose Diamond Auto Salon (DAS) in Costa Mesa: 1. The people and the facility - I visited my top 3 installers and their facilities, and while I would have been happy to have my car serviced in any of the places, DAS stood out because the facility was the largest and cleanest of the 3. Even more importantly, the people - Michael and Casey - were extremely professional and knowledgeable and were able to answer all of my questions, especially about the brand of film and coating they used. If you are shopping for the best quality PPF installation you can find, I highly recommend that you visit shops and talk with the people there. It made a huge difference for me. 2. The film and the coating - At first I was hesitant about the brand of film they used because I was unfamiliar with it, and I was curious why they changed from another brand of film I knew more about (Stek). After talking with Michael and Casey, I felt comfortable that PurePPF was indeed the better choice because of the quality of film and warranty that the company provided. They weren't trying to push PurePPF on me and even offered to install Stek on my car if I wanted it, since they still had the film available. The PurePPF installed on my car is crystal clear - you would not know that the car is PPFed, which was what I was looking for. On top of that, the coating brought out the glossiness in the paint and has made washing my car a breeze. And the tint that was installed was perfect. I've never had a window tint installed with no bubbles from day 1, until now. I used the PurePPF tint because Casey and Michael told me that it had the best heat rejection, and my experience living with the car for several weeks now confirms this - the car stays noticeably cooler than other ceramic-tinted cars I've owned. 3. Michael was excellent to work with and followed up on the work that was done, including a reinspection after a couple of weeks to make sure everything was holding properly. In the case of PPF, seeing nothing is a sign of excellence, as the only thing you see with PPF from Diamond Auto Salon is extra shine as if your car had just been waxed along with the comfort of knowing that if a rock hits your car, it will heal itself in most cases. Really great experience with the team at DAS. Had my GT4 RS tinted and fully wrapped with XPEL. Scott was very friendly and accommodating, and really made sure the car came out great. They paid a lot of attention to the details, absolutely minimizing lines (there are only 2 at the front end above the air dam and they are barely visible). Because of the design of the front fenders, the wheels kick up a lot of debris against the body panels behind the wheels and cause a lot of damage. I've seen other shops where they just added a small additional piece of PPF behind the wheels, for added protection. Not DAS. They went above and beyond and double wrapped the front fenders so there would not be any visible lines. That's an example of the attention to detail this team brings to the table. Even under close inspection it's difficult to tell it's been PPF'd. I'm very picky about these things and haven't been fully satisfied with other PPF jobs I've had done on other cars.
