However if you can afford it, as the name indicates, everything here is done by hand. This is important when it comes to car washes, as the process allows for greater attention to detail and an overall superior result. Mechanical car washes tend to be indiscriminate and rough. Plus if you have a really expensive car you would not want it getting messed up by a machine and this is the solution to that issue. If you have specialty paint, or your vehicle is unusual in some way, this is also a good option. I've seen all sorts of different cars here from huge trucks to lowered vehicles. They offer the full range of standard car wash services from basic car washes, to detailing and waxing, to headlight restoration. They also have a ceramic coating treatment which I have been considering. read more

I paid for the most expensive option -- the "Executive Wash" -- expecting quality service, and instead I got the opposite. I specifically asked for no interior dressing, yet the inside is so greasy it looks worse than before. The dashboard and surfaces are slick like a teenager's forehead. The exterior isn't any better. The roof is covered in streaks, and there's an entire section of the car that looks like it was barely touched. For the price charged, this level of work is honestly unacceptable. Please do better. I went on Tuesday and purchased the Executive Wash for $78.99. I was also charged an additional $10 for "stain removal," bringing the total to about $90 before tip. Unfortunately, the service did not match the price. Several areas inside the car were not properly vacuumed, and parts of the interior and side mirrors were still dirty (see photos). The extra $10 felt more like a consultation for a higher-priced detail rather than an actual service. For a premium wash, I expected much more attention to detail. It felt like it was rushed. I also did not receive the advertised free microfiber towel. Overall, I did not see a noticeable difference compared to lower-priced washes. I hardly write reviews but had my third bad experience here. I've been coming here for the past couple of years and left really upset this past time. I requested a refund or rewash because I came out to my car and saw all of these water spots still present. Apparently, this is calcium build-up that requires some special wash (that the guy did not inform me about prior to my wash). Before my car wash, I let him know my car was parked by the sprinklers & needed a car wash bad. I reminded him that I let him know and felt so upset that I spent $40 to receive my car back in this condition. He quickly wiped some of it off my windows & said I would have to pay $45 to get the rest of it washed off. The wash previous to this took about one hour 1/2, and I had to leave without my car dried or wiped down from the inside because I had to go to work. They offered me $10 spray wax because they "felt bad" after me asking for my car. I also got my back window re-tinted and they cut the wires connected to the rear window heater, which they called to inform me this was the only way to re-tint. Now, all the orange lines on my rear window are broken up. They let me know the lines would go back to normal but they never did. Anyway, I would've appreciated a refund or the extra wash for free since I wasn't informed prior to my wash. Super unfortunate since I've returned following my previous poor experience and wish it played out different! read more

DO NOT take your new car here. Tired this crash after being recommended. I've been hand washing my car since it is brand new. I searched for a 100% hand wash car wash near me since I was under the weather. This place was recommended, about 7 miles away, so I thought I'd give it a try. I paid for the gold wash. This wash was supposed to include air blow out & seams. They did not do this. The car had a lot of water left in the seams. As we drove off the water was blowing back all over our car. When we got home I had to take a wet cloth and rub out all the dried water spots on the car. You cannot watch your car being washed, it's out of viewing area. However my husband went to take a peak. He came to the waiting area to tell me they use a broom to clean the top of the cars?! It is supposed to be microfiber cloths? I didn't like hearing this. Our car had a lot of swirl marks on it too. Never had this since it's brand new, and we use microfiber mitts and cloths to wash and dry. I can't believe I paid $50 to have to basically rewash the car when I got home. Got a new Tesla, went on first road trip to San Francisco. Came back home to Orange County. Dead bugs covered the front of my car. From bottom of grill area all the way up thru hood, side mirrors and windshield to top of car. Brand new white car covered in dark bug matter and dried up bug juice. They also baked in the heat and sun over 2 days during my round trip from Orange County to San Francisco. So I was a little nervous that my brand new white Tesla would be forever etched with bug matter. ORANGE HAND CAR WASH is the best I've been to in my 25 years as an adult. They cleaned my car. Around $50 for the wash. Additional $6 for them to treat car first with bug wash spray. The gentleman who took my car wash order... I'd love that man myself if I was into men. But I'm a dude who is into women. Anyway, the guy was totally welcoming, and gave the great recommendation for them to treat with bug spray first. MY CAR CAME OUT CLEAN AND LIKE NEW. What more can you ask for? Hand wash, great service, friendly people. The female cashier was friendly and courteous. The gentleman who finished cleaning my car was friendly and courteous when handing car off to me. I tipped $10. Yes, no one wants to for anything at today's prices... But in case you haven't heard... We got hit with major inflation. All things considered, I'm fine with paying $50 for the Wash, $6 for bug spray treatment, and $10 tip. First time here based on location and their operating hours. Was in desperate need of a nice hand wash for my car. Pulled up and noticed there were plenty of cars in queue. That's a good sign because it made me feel like I made the right choice in picking this establishment. I was pretty quickly helped by Alex and chose the type of wash. He said wait time for my car would be an hour and he gave me the receipt at 2:15pm. He also let us know they had 2 waiting areas on each side. And said the one upstairs to the left had games, so we decided to go there. Upon walking in, I was very impressed with the awesome wait room full of various games, pool tables and comfortable sitting areas. With AC and a lot of tv screens showing various different channels. I went in early on a Sunday morning for a car wash, thinking it would be a good time since they weren't busy. Even though there were no cars before or after me, the guy checking in vehicles was rushing for no reason. I paid $65 for the Diamond Wash and added a $10 spray-on wax. When I got my car back, it was obvious they had cut corners. The front and rear windows weren't fully wiped, the interior was barely cleaned, and there was a black residue on the side panels inside the car that definitely wasn't there before. I went back to point it out, and the same guy just tried to buff it out--no apology, no accountability. I told him the job wasn't done properly, but he didn't seem to care. He barely removed the black marks, and I left frustrated. (The photo I attached was taken after he tried to remove the residue.) I used to be a regular here because they actually did the work and took pride in it. But the past few times I've come, the quality has been consistently bad. Came here to get a quote for wax/clay bar because a section of my hood was scuffed up. Talked to Gavin who only quoted $50-60 to do that section of the hood versus having to pay $300 for the whole car. Was happy to only have to do that section. Opted for the Gold Wash ($39.99) in addition to the buffering, ~ $100 + $10 tip. Not a bad deal. Car came out clean and Gavin showed me the work they did on the scuffs, was happy with the result. Not recommended at all! It took them 1 hour and 40 mins to do the regular car wash and towards the end it started to drizzle and they wouldn't even give a rain check discount or option. Their response was ohh we can just wipe it down but it's not really raining. I came here for a car wash on a busy day and it took longer than usual. The manager acknowledged that and apologized for the wait and thanked me for my business. The wash was great so no complaints there. They also didn't try to upsell which I appreciate. This seems like a very honest business. I honestly can't stand coming here. I've probably been here around 12 times total, and every single time I leave regretting it. The only reason I ever step foot in this place is because it's my absolute last resort, either everywhere else is fully booked or this is the only spot open on a Sunday. Otherwise, trust me, I wouldn't bother. It's honestly shocking how much poor customer service can ruin an experience. The minute I walk in and see this guy's face, my mood instantly shifts. His attitude is miserable, his energy is negative, and it feels like he goes out of his way to make me feel unwelcomed. I believe his name is Alex, salt and pepper hair, sour expression, and absolutely zero people skills. It's almost as if he's proud of how unpleasant he can be. Unfortunately, I end up matching his energy, which I hate about myself, but it's hard not to when you're met with that kind of attitude. On the flip side, there's another guy there, I believe his name is Vic, who is the complete opposite. Friendly, polite, and professional every single time. Honestly, the only reason I kept coming back in the past was because of him. But once I noticed he wasn't there as often and it was mostly Alex, I stopped coming altogether. It's incredible how two people working under the same roof can deliver such drastically different experiences. I highly recommend Ultimate Custom Care in Tustin, off First Street. The owner there is incredible! Since the very first day I brought my car in, he's remembered both me and my vehicle. He's highly experienced and truly knowledgeable when it comes to servicing high-end vehicles. I never have to remind him of anything, he knows exactly how my car should be serviced. That's a contrast to Alex over at Orange Car Wash on Chapman in Orange, who told me I should remind him if my vehicle needs to be off track, or on track, because he sees many cars and can't remember. Since moving to OC from LA this was the only place that did hand car washes that I liked. I returned multiple times because it was cleaned as well as it could be considering it wasn't one of those super expensive detailing places. I needed a tint which they also did so I inquired about it and came for in March. I had a rear dash cam that was removed to apply the tint, they did call me to ask if I wanted it to be removed or to leave it and have the tint cut around it. I opted to remove it. When I picked up the jeep they said that I could return and they would reattach my rear dash cam for me. I wasn't able to come back until today which is mid May and I was told that they don't have it. It's not in my glove box. Not in my center divider. Not under my trunk. They're saying that it was left hanging from my window but I know it wasn't cause I would've seen it. Sucks to be gaslit that I probably have it at home somewhere when I know I haven't touched it. They basically said "sorry hope it turns up." Not really sure what to do with this comment cause I don't see where it would random turn up. I pretty much have to buy a new dash cam set up. It probably doesn't matter but I won't be returning even though the car wash service itself is good. The response for the lost dash cam pretty much killed it for me. read more

I've been a few times now. I used to use the car wash down the street, but seeing the owner blame the customer instead of just taking care of the problem turned me off. Usually mid morning during the week. They are busy, but not slammed. Quick response when I pulled up. Prices seem a bit higher, but I didn't feel like I was getting nickel and dimed for having a truck. The layout is a bit odd, but they have plenty of seating in the waiting area, which you'll need...a bit about that shortly. They have a wide variety of services. However I have done the same service each time. Now about the customer waiting area. Plenty of it. You'll be there a while. Don't get me wrong. Taking a chunk of time to get it done is fine, as they are doing a thorough job. Truck is clean, even in the little nooks and crannies that get missed elsewhere. Been coming here for 1 year when in the area. They have damaged the car 2 times. Once damaged and ripped of one of the emblems. Second they scuffed the PPF on the headlight and damaged the headlight itself. Went back to tell them and was told "we can check the camera" and "it was already there". I know for a fact the headlight was not damaged as i take good care of my car. Change me extra for tire shine which they never put on properly, never clean the door jams fully (even on request and extra charge). Never going back again. read more

The options of their washes and details is thorough and they help you out with choosing which is best for you. You see a lot of regulars and nice cars, so that's a good sign. The guy at the register was super friendly! And let me know of their indoor waiting area across the way and upstairs. Wouldn't have even known! I checked it out and it's super nice. Took in my wife's car for detail service. Clay bar, wax, and polish on the exterior. The exterior of the vehicle looks great and I have no complaints. The paint before hand was in pretty bad shape and very oxidized and rough to the touch. Afterwards the paint was smooth and looked much better. The interior on the other hand I wasn't 100% happy with. They did a fantastic job of vacuuming and removing and dog hair, dirt, crumbs etc. My issue is with the finished product. When I arrived, I was greeted and prompted with some questions about the finish of the detail. What car scent would you like and what level of shine on the inside? I find the shiny look on the interior of car to be very ugly and more of just a mask to cover what really lies beneath the surface. I answered with a no to low shine on the interior. Receiving the vehicle back once finished the car looked great on the exterior and the interior in terms of vacuuming. Everything was on maximum shine. Which looked like an excessive amount of product was used all over the interior. Leaving my steering wheel sticky, ac control buttons caked in product. Seats so slippery and shiny. Gas and brake pedal were slick underneath my shoe. Having this oily shiny product on the interior just invites dust and dirt to stick to it. Leaving the interior with potential to look dirty again in a short time. Would recommend for exterior details and clays and waxes. If you are like me do not bother with interior details. read more
