Re-installed front facing camera. 1st time it was put in where the camera was blocked on the whole left side of the vehicle.

Spent 400 bucks on a nice front and rear facing camera. Had it installed for half that amout. After installation the front facing camera was blocked by the rear view mirror. I got it Re-installed and this is what I come out to.. it hanging by the wires. I wouldn't recommend moving forward. Tia

What a Joke!!!! The owner, Kevin, is a FRAUD. He will gladly charge you for everything he says you need to install and make your system work like you want. The problem is, when the work is done and you have paid, the system doesn't work like you were told it would and instead of working with you, he gets ANGRY and yells at you, the customer. I can't believe he hasn't been shut down! I would highly recommend that everyone take there stereo needs somewhere else. He even refused to give me a receipt showing what I had purchased when I questioned him about it. I am filing a complaint against him with the better business bureau in hopes of keeping him from ripping off more people. All I can say is WOW, what a nightmare!!!!! read more

This owner is an idiot with no customer service, no idea how he's still in business. I spoke to Kevin Payne (owner) on a Thursday and arranged to drop my car off on Friday to have 4 speakers installed. At first i thought the price was a bit high for the instillation purchase price of 4 speakers ($741.00) Frist complaint: Kevin could not give me an estimation on how long it would take him to install the speakers, " because he gets interrupted all throughout the day" so i had to either arrange to sit and wait or leave my car there all day until i was done at work. So i left my car there for 8 hours and returned to pick it up after work. I left kevin a note asking him to please look at my AUX connection because it would intermittently only play music out of one speaker in the font. plus i Left 2 phone numbers where he could call me if he had any questions or problems. Second Compliant: When i returned to his business to pick up my car his employee informed me that he looked into the Aux connect and it was actually the AUX wire i was using that was causing the connection issue. So i said i would go ahead and purchase a new one. When Kevin's employee was ringing me up and told me the total was $10.71. I asked what about the speaker instillation. Kevin stated, " Oh i thought that you just wanted us to look into the AUX wire because you thought it was just the connection not a blown speaker." (okay first off i am female but not stupid i could figure out the speaker is blown because it sounds like crap!!!!!) Needless to say i was PISSED! i kept my cool and was frank with Kevin. I said, " well when i called yesterday and made arrangements to drop off my car i confirmed with you i wanted 4 speakers installed and would leave my car with you all day. I left 2 contact numbers for you to call me if you had any questions or problems, which you didn't use. So if you and your employee were second guessing the fact that i would wanted a speaker instillation and also have you look into the AUX connection why didn't you call me?" Well kevin didn't give me an answer and when he asked if i could come back tomorrow to get things fixed i told him no. i asked how long it actually takes to install 4 speakers. Kevin stated 1 hour. At this time it was 4:50pm. I asked what the problem was if he just installed them right now? Kevin stated; " well the problem is that we close at 5:30pm and i have to go pick up my kids. so if i wanted to come back next week he would take care of it." I told him No and purchased the new AUX cable and left. Third Complaint: When i got into my car and was leaving i plugged in the new AUX cable and my iphone which should have fixed things according to Kevin. Well that guy is an idiot or didn't care about a $700.00 sale because the damn AUX connection is the issue not the cable. the music still only played out of one speaker not both... Moral of the review...... maybe it's a good thing he F*****D up and didn't install the speakers because i would have been even more pissed if he messed that up like he said he figured out the "AUX connection problem" DON"T USE ULTIMATE CAR AUDIO IN PASO!!!! read more

This place is ridiculous, they charge about 6x as much as what the item should actually be priced as. They charged me 35$ for an item that I found all over the internet for about 4$. When I tried to return it they would only give me back store credit, which I found very annoying. All in all, it seems they rip people off, then they don't really let you return it (only option is store credit). Please don't shop here, you can get much better deals anywhere else read more

I needed to have four speakers replaced and I upgraded from 5.25" speakers to 6.5" I also requested the stereo deck cover upgraded and multiple plugs be installed around the boat, last minute at drop off. Jesse and his team had to drill through fiber glass and three layers of ply wood. The job ended up taking four hours longer than anticipated and Jesse still honored to original guesstimated price, although no promises were made and he didn't have to do that. I wad absolutely blown away by the work done to my boat. The team went above and beyond by cleaning up old messed up wiring performed by a different local shop. Jesse has earned my business going forward with all audio needs. Thank you guys!

The rev hang and throttle response have both been a bit sluggish, which means that I couldn't shift fast. After the medium tune, the changes are night and day! The 3.5L V6 is finally living up to its name. Kevin did a fantastic job on the quality of taping, spraying around sensitive items, and the overall thickness of the product. The lining in my Ram has taken a beating from my 5th wheel hitch (and overall truck duties) but is still without a nick in it. I'm amazed at how good this liner holds up and have no doubt it will return its value when it comes time to sell the truck. Due to this positive experience, this time when I got a new truck I got it right in to get it sprayed and couldn't be happier with the quality, price, and experience.

Here is what you need to know about Ultimate Car Audio: 12 years in business, offer the best quality products and service that can possibly be offered for our area. Let me just refute these unhappy customers: 1. Gary- thank you for conceding because I worked very hard to fix the antenna problem in your car (your wife is a great and understanding woman) 2. Steve- I told you when you came into our shop that we were not 100% positive we could fix your 10 yr old radio and it costs money and time for the repair company to go through it (hence the $50 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT-which I'm pretty sure states on the receipt) Since when is gas and labor free?? So I kindly gave you a $50 store credit. Thought that was pretty fair considering there was no guarantee your radio could be fixed. I'm sorry that you could not find a product that suited you. 3. Rob- Wow...you are a representative of the US ARMY and I have never been so offended by how you yelled and cussed me out on the phone. I really wish I could play that conversation back for everyone online to hear because I guarantee the tone would say a lot more then what you wrote on your post. We stayed late two times to accommodate you and you never showed up. You call demanding us fix your product because you spent $1500, mind you, you got top of the line product and we are more than happy to help you any time. And I'm pretty sure that we did end up replacing your BLOWN subs with BRAND NEW subs??? Let me know if I am wrong about this. 4.The other two unhappy customers....sorry we did try to help you but quite frankly anyone knows that you can't make everyone happy... I got a complete system put in my 2005 pontiac vibe and they did a phenomenal job. i got 4 set of memphis speaker and also 2 12" subs and a custom box done. i also got dynamat in all my doors as well as my trunk. After trading in my vibe for a 2011 ford fusion i returned to the shop to have a system done. I had a navigation/dvd unit installed with 4 set of component rockford fosgate speakers and 2 rockford T0 subwoofers. Again the shop did a phenomenal job. Any time that i had an issue or didn't understand the owners seemed to understand completely and took the time to help me with the issues i was having and even did some research to help with the issues i was having and all them got resolved. I then took my fiances 2000 dodge durango to have a cd player and 4 speakers put in it. When i had arrived to pick up the durango they had told me that they had to rewire the speakers because there was apparently a factory amp and they did it in a timely manor. I would recommend my friends and family to go to this shop. read more

I asked Kevin and Cameron to upgrade the stereo in my boat and they did an awesome job. We have been bringing trucks, boats and RV's to this family owned business for over a decade and the results are always top-notch! The original stereo in my boat had major issues, so after the new system was installed, there was interference from the engine running (not Ultimate's fault). Kevin and Cameron spent all day working on it and it cost next to nothing. That is true customer service. I would recommend their services to anyone. Paso Robles is lucky to have such an amazing stereo shop that also gives back to the community. read more

What an incredible waste of my time; scheduled ahead one week ...left a vehicle there at eleven AM for a 2-4 hour job (buying a $160 stereo and simple install with existing speakers and amp; estimate was $300 to $400.. nothing complicated about it)... returned after four, job not even started. Did not even try to call me.. wow . Unbelievable. It's makes me sad that these people are business owners, they clearly could not care less about my disappointment and the obvious loss of a customer. Are ALL stereo installation people around here tweakers and crackheads? read more

I've had 2 of my trucks done by Kevin he does a great job and very detailed little thing like sodering the wire and not use butt connectors running the wire right so that you never see them. My last truck was all Memphis that Kevin did well over 5 years ago and to this day still sound like the day he stuck it in and never had 1 issue with It. Bought a new truck and have already talk to Kevin about a system for it. As Long as he keep the doors open I will keep using him and send friends and family to kevin to there stereo. Last month I had Ultimate exchange my 2004 radio for a new Kenwood in my 2004 Ford F150 - it was Blue tooth and all the other enhancements - the quality of the job was excellent - it was in and out the same day - I was able to make a appointment, drop it off and pick it up - the price I was charged was what I was quoted - I would recommend Ultimate - I have my corvette in the shop for an upgrade to new technology to include a 7" screen. Blue Tooth, GPS, Stereo, etc. and a back up camera. I will report on this installation when it is completed. Tom read more

My first purchase with Kevin and Lisa was in 2010 when I couldn't find anything to get my husband for Christmas. I bought him a SiruisXM satellite stereo and the now its an annual tradition to purchase at least one item from them or add to our systems for both car and home. Kevin and Lisa have always been helpful and have done a great job from start to finish. The installations are beautiful and clean. He hit it out of the park!!, the system does everything I wanted and then some, very clean install, very timely, done on time. I can't believe some of these reviews when I went in I spoke with Jason and he was amazing he was very nice and polite and helped me pick the best audio system for my needs. And the price was on point. Its was a little more than a big box store but I will pay for the professional installation and the warranty.
