When I called it was verified I was charged twice for the cut & it should be back on my account . However when I checked the next day still no reimbursement. I was told it could take a few days to receive a refund. Not a great practice for customer support. Money had no problem charging my account but not reimbursement on their mistake. Makes me not want to go back even after the amazing hair style by Mia. She is great & I highly recommend her. It's a shame no accountability by front desk staff. Told by my stylist, Deb, after paying $220 plus 20% tip that I could go home and figure out how to style my hair. It was very busy in the salon, and she had 2 other clients waiting. I went home disappointed. No one asks you if you are happy with your service or how they could make it better. In addition, they had a new hire and let her work on my fine-textured hair with platinum bleach. They tried to cut my hair into an inverted bob, but it broke off due to the new hire leaving the bleach on for too long, it looked stringy. Needless to say, I am not returning. The salon tried to make me feel guilty for asking them to fix my hair. The salon asked me to pay for another haircut 2 weeks later, after I had already paid. I have been back 3 times for a service that was not completely rendered successfully. Now, my hair breaks off when I brush it. I know they can't glue hair back on my head, but the lack of empathy is sad. Another stylist at this salon burnt my scalp with bleach and left scabs on my scalp- Morgan. No apology for that either... My husband had to call them because I was crying. We women, go to the salon to feel good about ourselves, not to be ignored or made to feel insignificant by the staff, and pay them for doing this to us. At 18, I moved to Utah for school and I've bounced around out west and in the DC area on and off for over a decade, and have never had someone work the kind of magic on my hair that Misty does. Utah is a cosmetology metropolis, and every other girl you meet up u t there does hair, but NONE are Misty. I unfortunately came to town for 36 hours to attend my teenage years best friend's funeral, and Misty squeezed my mom and I in and I am alive again. Misty is quickly meticulous with coloring. She weaves the color throughout your hair like nobody else. You can show her any picture you find online, and she will duplicate it. She effortlessly runs those blades and coloring brushes she's through your hair and finishes with a masterpiece every single time. Do not even get me started on her formal up-dos. In addition to having all the regular drug store fare when it comes to cosmetics and skin care (think Almay, Revlon, Neutrogena, Loreal, etc.), Ulta also carries several lines of skin care and make-up that you see in Sephora and high-end department stores (here, think Two Faced, Philosophy, Bare Escentuals, Kerastase, Anastasia, Smashbox, and the like). They also carry an extensive array of hair care, nail, and body products. For their hair care, they really do have it all, including dozens of specialty lines of professional products for every type of hair imaginable. From the looks of it, the back of the store also doubled as a hair salon, since I saw some ladies getting their hair blown out while seated in salon chairs. Towards the front of the store, they sell a nice selection of designer fragrances, and while they may not carry EVERY scent imaginable or all the latest in perfume/cologne, I did see all of my favorites on the shelves. They carried all the best sellers from Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, D&G, and Burberry, to name a few. Did I mention they carry mens skin care, cologne, and hair cair products as well? They also provide eyebrow waxing, which I'm interested to try out. Ulta offers a rewards card similar to the Sephora card where you accumulate points for every dollar you spend at the store. I'm excited to have found an alternative to Sephora (even though I still love them) for my beauty needs.
