For me the keynote was the lack of customer service. But, visiting this store Saturday changed that when a manager Rico approached me and went above and beyond to help me locate a few christmas gifts and men's fragrances. Rico is a prime example of how excellent customer service can align with a company's broader business strategy. At its core, Rico's strategy focuses on building customer connections and ensuring that customers keep returning. Rico's customer service experience was dedicated to resolving issues quickly and efficiently, often with minimal back-and-forth. This is a huge Ulta, located near the target side of the collective. They have a lot to offer in here except I did notice the items online they claimed they had in store wasn't there, a bit deceiving when you're looking for something specific to drive all this way. I did happen to find what I was looking for though (the last one in stock) and my sister found a few things as well. Staff was helpful, friendly and answered any questions we had as well. They made sure we could sit next to each other, which made it a really fun experience -- even with my two-year-old. Nina was so wonderful and very helpful. I decided to give the salon at ulta a try and so thankful I did. I had foot surgery recently and unfortunately had to keep my foot wrapped and dry for additional week which made washing my hair properly very difficult. I decided to try the Cécred Scalp Revival and a blow out. She was so sweet and careful when helping me around since I have a scooter and boot. I am so thankful for her patience and care. Great store with lots of variety, but horrible customer service. I walked in there fully intending to invest in a full skin care routine. I also had some makeup needs I would've liked to address. I wandered around for over five minutes, looking down the aisles till somebody finally asked me what I was looking for. I told her I wanted Peter Thomas Roth, which is a very high-end skin care brand. I was told "it's back there". I walked back found the product I was interested in ... there wasn't a mirror in sight that I could try so I wandered around half the store trying to find a mirror. Finally found one ... did not like the way the primer I picked looked so I tried to wipe it off .. no Kleenex.. I'm wandering around looking for Kleenex. There is a girl watching me who looked at the station I was at, scrunched up the empty Kleenex box and walked away. So now I'm looking for another product once again nobody is there to help me. I finally walked around the store until I saw somebody just standing there, I asked her for help. She rather unenthusiastically wandered back with me and did find the product I was looking for which is a plus. At no time did somebody offer to help me. Nobody asked me why I was looking for what I was looking for or if I needed any more help I spent $55 in there today. I was fully prepared to spend over $300. Granted it was a Saturday and it's busy, but I did see Associates helping other customers, but maybe the right thing to do would've been to tell me they'd be with me in a few minutes or get me someone else that could help me. My mom and I walked into the Ulta in the collection earlier in the day and asked to make an appointment for a wash and curl for both of us later that day at 5:30 PM We rushed our schedule to make sure we were there on time when we arrived, the lady told us that they were running behind and everyone had left for the day. They also had our appointments wrong and said they couldn't help us out until 6:30 PM now. Even while booking the appointment, I asked if that was enough time for them and made sure to let them know we had a 7 PM reservation. When booking, she assured us that would be more than fine and let us know that t hey would call us if they had an earlier appointment. Not only did they not have an earlier appointment, which is fine but they also didn't call us to let them know that they were running behind or that there was no appointments available for the rest of the day. The woman who handled the situation when we arrived at 5:30 was very unprofessional and wasn't sympathetic or apologetic at all. this was for my mom's birthday and Mother's Day celebration and they ruined a part of that excitement for us. I even bought her a gift card there for my birthday and we both purchased stuff earlier that day. all in all if you're going to rely on this Ulta beauty for any services, I would double check or not go at all because they're likely to disappoint you. read more

I was a little short on time, and when I went in Emily was able to help me find the perfect shade of foundation and helped me out quickly and efficiently. My husband and I were racially profiled by their security guard. Since we got there, he looked us up and down and gave us weird looks. I found it weird our paths kept crossing but didn't think much of it so I would just smile at him. After looking for about 20 minutes, deciding on a product just to find out they didn't have it in stock, we decided to leave. He gave us grief for not buying anything. As if anyone that enters the store is obligated to buy something. He made the shopping experience so unpleasant. As we were leaving, he also had issues with another interracial couple as they were leaving since they didn't purchase anything. My husband called to speak with the manager and report the incident. Apparently the other couple has a hx of stealing. So why let them in the store in the first place? We were told we would be given a follow up call and we have not heard anything. I really hope they do something about that security guard because no one should have to go through that. I hardly go to Ulta and after that incident, never again. First time coming here, hence the 3 star review but I wanted to publicly acknowledge the staff I entered during my first experience. I went there on a mission to get perfume and I wasn't able to find what I needed but I heard a friendly voice over in the make up section so I went and asked for help. The rep, Kevin, quickly offered assistance and when he didn't have the answer - he made sure to ask someone and get it for me. Like I said, it was my first time so I was jacking up with signing in to my account and requesting certain discounts I had seen previously (hence my visit). Even with a long (and growing) line, she took her time, didn't rush me, and didn't seem agitated in the slightest. Went into Ulta for makeup. I must admit the make up artist was wonderful and helped tremendously. But wait, then I went to the cashier and she rang me up. My Ulta (rewards card, not credit) Wouldn't go through, so the cashier offered to issue a new one. Low and behold, she processed a credit application without my consent... I am in the middle of a home purchase and cannot have any inquiries thru escrow, but no choice now and will have to explain it away due to the sales practice that are taught to receive bonus'S. When I called to ask for the reversal of the inquiry, they put me on hold and never came back.(3 Times). I immediately filed with the FTC fraud complaint dept and they will investigate. I have been seeing Angie for almost a year. She is a breath of fresh air, always a smile and a kind word. I never understood how hair stylist keep track of things that you talk about but I feel like Angie picks up where ever we left off. Not only is she super friendly but she does an amazing job with my color and cuts. I've been coloring my hair for over 30 years, so I have A LOT of experience in the chair and can tell you that she knows her stuff when it comes to color. Her level of of experience is also demonstrated when other stylists consult with her regarding the mixing ratios they use. She often has other clients at the same time but she always makes you feel like you are her only client; juggling her assistants/trainees like a pro!
