Every haircut Barbara has given me has been far better than any other cut I've received. Since my hair is quite fine and not especially abundant, even an average haircut is noticeable--so that's saying a lot. My first experience with highlights was thanks to Barbara, and the results were stunning. One person who saw them said, "If anyone could have the hair color of their dreams, this would be it." Barbara even shared the color formula she used. Some time later, I showed that formula to a stylist in France, and after looking at it she told me, "I can't do that." Barbara seems to notice details about my hair that other stylists miss. I sometimes wonder whether this comes, in part, from her background as a painter and artist. NEVER coming back here, it was a waste of $1,500. For the price I was expecting to get salon quality extensions... for less I could've bought better hair and kit online and done it myself since they were tape ins. It was my first time getting extensions so I trusted this place. The color match was AWFUL and the "blending" was the most embarrassing part, walking around with what clearly was extensions, it made me feel embarrassed that anyone could see how bad of a job it was. Luckily I was saved by sky salon on the other end of sea bridge. They often have people come in to get saved from the work of this place. I was one of many. I should've known by the the hair of the woman who did it, it wasn't going to be slayed. I was nervous to get my hair cut from someone new because I have gotten my hair cut by the same person almost my entire life, but Antonella is amazing! The shampoo and conditioner she used on my hair smells SO good. She listened carefully to exactly what I requested and cut my hair so beautifully. She took great care in doing it just how I want it. She only took a little length off at first, then checked in and asked if I wanted more off. She asked me multiple times if I liked it or wanted anything else fixed up. Couldn't be happier with my new hairdresser, Barbara Fritsche. She's an artist. Too cliché? No, she really is. A literal, actual artist--like with paint, canvases, and sculptures in airplane hangars. Well, one recent Saturday, her palette was my pate! My hair was brassy, dry, and had a (shudder) regrowth line. I looked like a skanky surfer and not in a good way. Now my threads of silver are interwoven nicely with browns, ash blond and honey tones, just as I asked. We set, washed, and dried overlooking the harbor. It was a beautiful wind-swept day, the yachts danced at their anchors. The salon's music was gentle. I asked to see her work while we waited for my unveiling, and Barbara shared images from her phone. So multiple things happen, but what set me over the edge was the fact that I had agreed with KC to meet on Friday 12:45 and just as I was arriving after an hour drive, I mentioned to her that I was here, but she turned around telling me that we had never booked our appointment when I have evidence in the text that we had agreed on that day. And yeah that could have been a booking mistake, but in the text, she told me she never agreed to that time and that it wasn't her that agreed to our meeting, which doesn't make sense cause we've been texting from that same number since we first started working together on my hair. On top of that, she gave me the impression that she can do curly hair when that is not the case. I previously had blue hair that was still pretty curly and wavy, but when I asked her to get the color out my curls are now limp and the brown-blond I asked for is murky and I am just overall unhappy with the result and situation and service and I've spent $300 on just two appointments to be very unhappy with my hair. She also blamed me for my hair being limp when I haven't done anything to it except condition it since the last time she worked on it. I asked for at least a partial refund for the trouble, but I was declined. read more

I have been getting my hair done by KC Gordon for 7 years now and she is the best! I have really curly unmanageable hair and somehow KC works her magic on it! My favorite thing about KC is that she loves what she does. I'll come to her with an idea of what I want and she already knows what I'm looking for. She always brings my hair back to life. She's done red, purple, brown, blonde, highlights, short, long, dead to healthy...you name it and KC has probably done it for me. She even worked on my mothers hair for years too and my mom lives in Washington now and still can't find someone nearly as good as KC! KC has been my trusted stylist for several years now and there is no one better! she is a true PRO at blondes and dealing with curly hair. I came here after my deployment to Afghanistan for a fresh change. (Cut & Color). This was the only open salon on a Sunday, and it looked more upscale which is what I was going for. I walked in and was greeted immediately by Liz, who was so nice. After describing what I wanted, she did my color, but it wasn't really what I asked for. I decided to try it out, but ended up having to come in and get it fixed. Although they didn't charge me for the fix-up, and I was happy with the cut, I just felt that it wasn't worth the $185 I had coughed up to pay for it. Terrible customer service. I wanted to get a haircut from the Barber. I did not have an appointment. Most Barber shops don't run on appointments. You go in, put your name on the list, and sit down. This is a "Salon". (They promote themselves as DaDa's Barber shop online, and because it is close to my house, I wanted to try it out) When I attempt to walk in, the employee at the front counter was talking with a customer about his bike, which was in the shop, blocking the door. I stood there awkwardly for 4-5 minutes waiting. The employee looked at me several times but never once addressed me. I pushed past the biker and went to the counter looking for a waiting list. They don't have one. I then had to interrupt the Barber, who was in the middle of doing a haircut. The Barber wanders around looking for someone to help me, leaving the poor guy in the chair to sit and wait. Front counter guy is still engrossed in biker guys story about handlebars... "Manager" walks up and asks if I have been helped. I say "not really.. Barber is trying to find someone" and she says "Great" ! with a bizarre prozac fiend looking grin on her face. Barber comes back and says he can't find any one to help me, can I come back in an hour or so. I say "no. I will go to a real Barbershop". Weird "Manager" says, "Awwwww" Barber looks at "Manager" like she is a crazy person. As I turn to leave, I see Front Counter Guy standing by the couches staring at his fingernails. What a disappointment. =( I went to Cabelos and was very specific about the cut and color I wanted. I even showed the hair stylist pictures. She seemed to be confident about what she was doing and cut off six inches of my hair. Instead, I left looking like a soccer mom from the 90's. My hair color was another story. All I wanted was my roots dyed, but instead got an over dyed, over lightened color that made me look like a Japanese Harajuku girl. I have never been so upset about a haircut in my life!
