I personally wouldn't come here again. Punctuality from Britany is 0/10. I'm big on someone respecting my time and I waited an ENTIRE hour from my original appointment. 15 mintues was fine but an hour is insane and still paid the FULL PRICE. I feel like you're better off with someone with a lot more experience. I sent a photo of what I wanted my hair to be and it wasn't even close. She was supposed to dye my hair lighter but mind you, she was late and hour on me anyway. This is someone who'll take advantage.. sadly. Side note: I understand my hair is black and I understood that it wasn't going to be as light as the picture and that was fine. But half of my hair is literally uncolored and doesn't even go together. Below is a photo of what I asked for and sent her lots of TikTok's/links of this person hair. The next photo is what I left with. TWO TONED, half worked on hair. Communication was also 0/10. I asked for a balayage and this is what I got. And she simply stated she didn't know if "I had that time" when she was late a whole hour. 0% accountability for anything. And if she knew i wanted my entire head dyed- why didn't she communicate better she didn't have the time. Obviously I'm very upset. The damage is done and so is my pockets. Went to this salon for a much needed hair cut, deep condition, and partial highlights. Nicole was my stylist and she was great--she took her time and did careful, detail oriented work. The results are very natural and I can't remember when my hair looked this healthy. The salon is nice, there is plenty of parking behind it, and they are following Covid-19 safety regulations with clients spread out and everyone wearing masks. First, Alex embarrassed her for being late. Next, pretty much chopped off her hair. ( you know when you're cutting hair too short for your clients liking). I am writing this review because my hair was saved from a complete disaster here. I was walking down Main street looking for a salon that took walk-ins as I was having quite an emergency. My hair had accumulated a giant knot that I spent two weeks trying to comb out with thick conditioner (it was not budging). I was assigned Alexandra Joyce and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. She and her friend tried their absolute best to use heavy conditioner to comb through my hair for about an hour and it would not cooperate. It was, as they put it, completely turned into a dread. We decided to cut the knot in half and just pull apart the knot so the hair could break free. It was an exhilarating experience watching that knot finally get cut off. (I know, to those of you with long hair this sounds like a terrible nightmare, but I really needed a shorter haircut anyway as my hair was horribly treated). The amount cut off was nowhere near as short as I thought it was going to be and I love the hair cut and style Alex gave me in the end. She also recommended good products and taught me how to clean/treat my hair. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, especially given the circumstances. Thank you so so so much, Alexandra! This place is my hair home. It is a really pretty salon with lots of open space and they offer coffee to their clients, which is nice. All the products they use smell DELICIOUS and they have a good selection of professional products available for purchase as well. Their products and services are very reasonably priced and everyone is so friendly. I searched for YEARS for the perfect stylist and I finally found Alyssa. She is always super interested in seeing pictures of styles I want and communicates with me throughout the whole process asking how I like the length and showing me the progress. She even took me from years of red box dye to a deep, rich golden blonde without crying my hair at all. Seriously her color correction skills are on point. After going to her for over a year it's like I can walk in and know that she is going to take care of me! I seriously can't recommend Alyssa enough. Alex gave me a Supercuts haircut at a Supercuts price. He asked me if my previous stylist used scissors or an electric razor to cut my hair. When I told him she used scissors, he told me he would use a razor... so why did he ask? It was very fast and very perfunctory -- it was clear there was no attempt to style the cut to fit my face -- no more than twenty minutes. The salon is nice and he did shampoo my hair. If you're looking for "decent" with no frills, you might like this, but I won't be going back. read more
