*They no longer have the tinting brow service. From my last eyebrow review at another place, eyebrows are EVERY. THING! It defines the look with & without make up. Came here with a friend to stock up on some make up & I wandered across the brow bar. According to a friend whose eyebrows are always defined & gorgeous, she recommended the brow bar at Ulta. I'm picky when it comes to people doing my eyebrows because I've had my fair share of "too thin" & "too arched" type of brows that weren't the looks I was going for. I was just looking at the flyer & asked one of the ladies who offered their help if they have anyone available for the waxing service. They instantly put me under an appointment within 15 minutes cause the girl who works at the brow bar I ended up catching on their lunch break. BETTY! Super sweet gal. I came here with no make up on & she made me feel comfortable knowing that she was there to make THE brows look good. I thought my service was going to take a sweet couple minutes, little did I know she took a good 30! I know it sounds like I needed some serious brow work. No, it was not only for the brow service, she actually took the time to test some brow powders & pencils with a little tips & recommendations I was comparing to what I usually use. Tipped the girl & paid at the front. I wouldn't go here on an every 2 week visit (I prefer threading), but with how knowledgable Betty was, I'd recommend her if you want them brows did. The price is a bit up there. She did mention there's another girl who works with her, but she wasn't present at the time. read more

I love the Benefit Brow Bar and Wendy did an amazing job of cleaning up the shape of my brows. She trimmed, waxed, and tweezed them very quickly and very well. Wendy did an amazing job on my brows. She waxed them and then tweeted to perfection and trimmed some of my long eyebrow hairs. She then filled them in perfectly and left me looking great. I will definitely return her. Only suggestion would be to let the customer know which products are being used to fill them in so it makes shopping easier. I am familiar with Benefit products so I knew which ones she used but someone unfamiliar with Benefit cosmetics may have a tough time. read more

Wendy is one of the best brow gals around. As I recently moved to the area I was nervous as to what to expect for my eyebrows. I'm glad I found her! She takes her time on my brows every time and I'm confident knowing she shapes them and cleans them up beautifully. I was like many of the other girls in the previous reviews, looking for someone new and hesitant to put my trust into someone who wouldn't thin out my eyebrows. Upon searching for someone new I came across the reviews of the Benefit Brow Bra at Ulta in Oxnard. I decided to try out Wendy as the other girls suggested. I called first thing in the morning and got an appointment within the same day (however, I saw other girls walking up to get their brows done). Wendy did not disappointment. She shaped, waxed and tweezed my eyebrows and I couldn't be happier! She also applied a little bit of coverage to hide some of the redness. I use to pay $10 for threading and have gone up to $21 for the wax but it was so worth it!!! Highly recommend Wendy. read more

Getting my brows done at Ulta is convenient and Betty is the best! She treats every appointment with attention to detail and leaves my brows looking great. I was so nervous to try out a new place to get my eyebrows done! Needless to say, everywhere i went either left my eyebrows looking thin or they just never did a well enough job (in my opinion). BUUUUUUT! ALYSSA at the brow bar did an amazing job!! i am seriously in love with my brows. I explained i had been growing my brows out for about 2 months and didn't want to take too much off. I do not trust very many brow bars or estheticians with my eyebrows but I went to Wendy for the first time and I immediately knew she was the person to stick with! She is so kind and also gentle with my eyebrows and the wax. She cleans them up very nicely and also fixes my makeup afterwards. I left crying! I had been going to Monica for a while and I found out she left and made an appointment with the woman who answered the phone, Rachel. Her waxing took less than 15 minutes. My past appointments have been 30+ minutes to wax and fill. Rachel did not map my brows, tweezed and trimmed my very thin (sparse hairs and thin hair) brows and then asked if I would like her to fill them in. As if it was an inconvenience. When we started I told her I have been growing my brows out for YEARS, have to use growing product and daily fill in my brows. I was so frustrated getting bad brow waxing. I was constantly letting my brows grow out and then redone. I took A friends advice and I visited the brow bar at Ulta Oxnard. Glad I did! After looking up the reviews here, I decided to call and make an appointment with Wendy. She did not disappoint! I had been growing my brows out for a couple months after a not-so-pleasant experience left me with a shorter tail on one eyebrow. I used to love going to Betty, she was awesome. She would always pencil out my eyebrows to ask if I liked the shape she was going for before she put any wax on me. I never left with a bad pair of eyebrows. I have gone to a couple of girls since she left and haven't been thrilled with my results, they have either been uneven or too thin (I naturally have thick eyebrows). The store recently put the brow bar at the very front of the store and people waiting in the usual long line are bumping into the chair as you're trying to get your eyebrows waxed. After you get your eyebrows waxed you then have to wait in that long line just to pay for the service. It would be beneficial if they ladies at the brow bar were able to take payment if you aren't buying product. read more

I usually go to Wendy, and she does an amazing job! I would recommend her to anyone who's considering going to the brow bar. But recently, I went back to get an eyebrow wax, and since Wendy wasn't there, I got a different girl. Although she was very nice, she made my eyebrows a little too thin.
