(Liana was my stylist) because I have long, dry, wavy hair it always takes me forever to straighten my hair so I decided to have someone else do it and she left my hair sooo straight and silky smooth. She did an amazing job. The best part was she was done in less than an hour I think she finished in 35 minutes which for my hair texture is unheard of. This store always has items out of stock, and almost everything on the shelves is locked up like Fort Knox. Even the perfume testers are kept under lock and key. If you want to sample a fragrance, you have to flag down an employee to unlock it. You are then forced to make a decision while an visibly annoyed staff member stands right over your shoulder. I've been to other locations where products are categorized by high or low-end, so staying in one area is enjoyable. What a great addition located next to Carson Mall with plenty of parking! The staff was welcoming and helpful, and I heard consultations throughout the store. I could browse through the entire store and see brands I wasn't aware they sold. I've been looking for this Korean face mask by Mediheal, and they have the type I wanted. My favorite location has narrow aisles, and I either have to get in or out, or I have to go on weekday mornings. Carson Mall is coming up! I love that you can book online or in person at the store. They provide beauty services 7 days a week and even have evening appointments. They also have upfront prices on their website. And YES!!! They do textured hair! Anthony is my go-to stylist at this location. But the beautiful thing is that their stylists get ongoing training to learn how to style and care for all hair textures. Most of the styles include a shampoo. If it doesn't it will indicate that on the website They also use products that are sold in the store. I had a very frustrating experience here. I had an appointment on Friday, April 10 at 3 PM for hair tinsels, but I ended up waiting over 40 minutes--almost an hour. I was first told by one of the employees (she had black hair, bangs, and bold makeup) that it would only be a 10-15 minute wait since the stylist was still working on someone. After already waiting about 30 minutes, I asked her again because I didn't see anyone at the salon. She told me the stylist was still working on someone, but she didn't even check or try to page someone to confirm. I continued waiting because I didn't want to argue, even though she was being careless about it. When I asked a different employee, that's when I was told the stylist had actually gone on break without informing the rest of the staff. This shows a clear lack of communication and organization among employees. On top of that, I didn't even get my hair tinsels done. The staff simply said "sorry". I never thought she was talking to us, so then I swatch it on my hand and again she yells "Excuse me unfortunately we are not allowed to open them!" I turn and everyone in line is looking at us like we are some type of creatures!!! Sooo embarrassing!!!! I then walk towards the line and yell "Its the tester, you can come see it if you want!" I am never coming back to this store! Immediately when I walked in to make a return the manager was behind the register instructing the employees and was speaking rudely and badly of customers, not even trying to be discrete. Then I wanted to walk around to see if I saw anything I wanted to buy and the employees surround you and hover over you like hawks and not in a good way! They're trying to catch you stealing or idk what their deal is but they're very hostile about it, they don't even play it off and pretend they're interested in your needs or at least ask if you need assistance. Then when it came time to pay the register girl (who was actually friendly) got stuck with the computer and called the manager over. The register girl seemed timid and scared of the manager. Trying to resolve the problem, the manager asked me a question and even made a sarcastic remark about one of my answers. I think this woman (manager) forgets that this business and her employment depend on customers like us. Any way, I'm never coming back, I don't need to feel intimidated or belittled when shopping for makeup, it's something that we as women look forward to doing (relieve some stress) but this place doesn't allow for that, so I'll take my business elsewhere which is sad because the store itself is actually nice and fully stocked! read more

I've tried this location multiple times since it's the closest to me and every time has been uncomfortable. The first, I came in with my backpack which contains all of my stuff for school including my keys and wallet. Mind you, I am a COLLEGE student, a grown adult, I'm not stealing anything. The employee immediately got way too close to my face telling me I can't be in here with that. Understandable, they're worried about theft, so I asked if I could leave it at the front. When it came to paying I walked over to my bag to get my wallet and I had about 3 employees all run over to check what I'm doing, as if THEY didn't make me put my bag down. The most recent time I was there, I brought a different bag. I'm pretty good at reading body language and as soon as I walked in, the lady at the register said something into the headset and immediately another employee rushed over asking if I needed help. I said yes because I was looking for a specific section, which she showed me, and then proceeded to hang around and organize the shelf right behind me. I was looking for a specific face wash and had to look at my phone to double check the right one, and she stayed the whole 5 minutes I was looking. Made me super uncomfortable as someone who likes to shop alone. I might look young, but I am 22, I'm not going to steal anything and would appreciate if I wasn't targeted every time I walk in the door.
