The pedicure technician chose to service two people at my appointment time and asked that I come back an hour and a half later. No consideration of my time. When booking an appointment, the manager asked for my phone number and I provided. There is no excuse for not calling and asking if my schedule could accommodate a later appointment time. The sad part is, the reviews are true! This nail shop does not honor mutually agreed appointments and showed NO consideration of the customer. Poor poor service. I have mixed feelings about Hands and Feet. I sometimes feel like they are a little too pricey. I come here regularly for my nails since it's conveniently close to my house. The work they do is quality though. The inside is really cute too. I've only had one issue here where one of the nail techs did my acrylic too thin and my nails were breaking after a couple days. Let me start this review off by first stating that I have been coming to this salon for almost 5 years. I really appreciate when the nail tech spend their time. I absolutely love Angle and Alice, and have in the past have gone out of my way to bring the girls boba/drinks after my appointments on top of tipping them. So, I was so excited to learn they returned back after a year. So, this past visit definitely comes as a shock to me. I had a scheduled appointment with Alice at 10 am on Friday morning for a fill, because she only works Friday-Sunday. I get to my appointment, and the young man at the desk (Mat) lets me know that Alice had an emergency, and she won't be able to make it. He then let me know that I wouldn't be seen until 12:30. This was the only day I could get my nails done, so I unwillingly waited around. I came back at 12:20, to then wait until 12:40 until the nail tech (trish) arrived. From the jump, she was rushing me. She insisted that three of my nails needed to be removed and redid, which I didn't understand. She kept reminding me that every thing I was asking for would be an "extra charge" on top of the 3 nail corrections. For example; I like my cuticles to be cleaned- extra 7$. Any kind of design would be 12$ extra, mind you I asked for a solid nail color. ( I was just indecisive about the color) Moving on, she began shaping and filling my nails, and again insisted on using a different colored powder than the one originally used on my nails ( I like pink powder). When I pointed out that the color was not the same, she said " don't worry, it's the same honey". When she began polishing my nails, she did a half ass job, very clumpy, uneven. At one point a small thread was stuck to my nail which I pointed out, and she refused to fix it. I was extremely unhappy with the job, but I refuse to be that person to yell at the nail tech, so I go to the counter to pay, (they only take cash now) and I let Mat know I really don't like my nails, than I am extremely unhappy with the service, nail shape, and paint job. He said that I could come in on Tuesday and that OWNER would be here to oversee a Fix. I paid my $48 tab AND left a tip for the tech for her time spent on me! As I was paying, I noticed the 3 nails that were replaced, were not even attached to my nail bed. The tip wasn't even attached to my nail. I made a point of showing Mat this before leaving. I took photos of my nails standing outside the nail salon before leaving. Skip to today, Tuesday. I show up for my nail correction. They don't have anyone here to do my correction, the owner is not even in California, and Mat is not at the front desk. They have me sit at a table, and the new nail tech doesn't see anything wrong with them, blamed the lifting/unattached nail on me. This is where Trish joins the conversation and completely denies replacing the 3 nails, at one point yelling at me saying "Honey, this is not how you left the salon, this is not my work. This used to be my go to spot, are used to come to see Timothy for my acrylics, but now he's gone so I don't know who else is good. I went there and they open at 10 I got there a little early because sometimes they open earlier, but this time I was waiting till 1030 for someone to get there and as soon as they got there I literally just walked out because they weren't even rushing to get me started they went in the back and took their time. woah.... So disappointed. I always drive by and think it looks so nice. Finally went today, first impression is, it's dirty !! Dirty chairs, dirty pillows that you lay on, dirty walls!! I said that manis consist of water and cleaning and cutting and filing and she said no it doesn't that it consists of hot towel and massage. Update: I really am over this place. It seems that every time I come back, this place just gets worse and worse with their nail techs. I am very upset that I paid $50 dollars and waisted and 1hr and 30min of my time for a sloppy job and thick nails and now I have to go somewhere else to pay more money to get them fixed. I have dried up acrylic left every where around my nails. The shape isn't sharp how I like it, and not to mention the guy didn't even bother to get my cuticles which I personally feel should come standard with every manicure. I came here based off the reviews on Yelp and how nice the place looked compared to most nailshops. The first day I came it was extremely busy so I decided to come back the next day. The next day was just as busy but my friend and I waited because we assumed it was a good sign. The decor of the nail shop is beautiful and it is very clean and well organized, so that was a plus. Even the higher prices didn't bother me because they place was very relaxing. However, it was the actual service that frustrated me. They said it would be a 15-20 minute for both ( which in fact it was 40) . My friend had to wait till I was done with nails before she even got seated and the tech still wasn't ready. So she waited almost an 1 & half ! Long story short the lady filed my cuticle so low its sore . Still sore actually 3 days later. On top of that she didn't have me wash my hands or clean them so when she was done it was white residue all over my hands. & after she finished my nails she just dismissed me didn't tell me my nails were dry or directed me else where. I was confused until I asked the host how do my nails dry and she said it's a 45 drying coat. To end on a positive note I do love my nail color and how clean the salon was. read more

I didn't write a review the first time I came because I thought okay its my first time here and maybeeee bad luck one time. Wrong. First or (second) time here was April of last year. Got my nails done the day before I left on a trip out of country... one nail broke in the middle of my nail bed and the other one straight up popped off like it was a press on. I had paid I think around 65-70$ for that crap. I was PISSED. this happened the very next day. I was out of the country for 2 weeks and had to find nail glue since I was too embarrassed to go to a nail shop and have them try to fix it. So embarrassing. I haven't been back since... Fast forward to last week... I thought okay maybe they have better techs and or product they use... wrong on the nail tech part. As I was getting my nails done a lady came in complaining one of her nails popped off. Oh man... I was already halfway through my session when I heard that. The lady who did my nails sanded down the hell out of my nails then pressured me into getting gel which I didn't end up liking. I told her I wanted a darker shade of burgundy and she promised me it would be darker when she put it on. WRONG. She did both hands and I was like no I want to switch to regular polish work the shady I originally picked out before she kept insisting the gel would be better. She seemed irritated. I picked another color and instead of taking the gel off she went right over it with the new color that was not gel. Kinda was weird but I thought okay whatever since I rarely ever get my nails done. The polish was taking FOREVER to dry while I was in there it messed up a few times while I was waiting and they seemed irritated that they had to fix it. Okay whatever. I get home and don't do anything for a few hours and cautious of my nails... I figure it seems dry after a while.. WRONG. I found out they weren't even close to being fully dry as I was trying on a pair of pants that I had ordered.. some of the polish came off onto the pants. Oh man... I ended up having to take off off the polish completely as I had messed everything up. I figured it was due to the first layer of gel she put on because I've done my own nails at home and nail polish does NOT take 3 hours to dry. I ended up repainting them myself as I didn't have time to go back the next day because I had a baby shower to go to in the morning. The pants I was trying on didn't even fit so I need to return them, now I'm hoping they don't notice the RED polish on cream colored pants because if they do they're going to probably charge me for the damage. I really wanted to like this place but something is off with either the products they use or the workmanship of the techs. I got a brand new full set less than a week ago on Tuesday I believe and two days later I had a nail already cracked at the base of my nail on the nail bed. I went to have it fixed, which they were completely nice about. The tech just removed my polish and placed nail glue in the crack and re painted which I thought was weird. The same day the nail recracked in the same spot and ultimately ending up breaking off. I had the whole nail replaced and fixed yesterday and they were super sweet about that as well. Today I wake up to see that two other nails are cracked at the base as well already. I'm just completely frustrated because this set is BRAND NEW. I don't even want to go back to have the two nails fixed, I will just be taking my business elsewhere. I had SNS gel powder on my nails and the lady seemed unfamiliar with how to take them off, I kept trying to tell her it's powder gel. She continued to rip my nails apart while scraping and picking the powder gel off my nails. I was proud of how long and strong my nails were and wasn't expecting for her to rip a few of my nails without acknowledging or apologizing for the pain I was experiencing as she was too focused on laughing and talking with 2 of her other coworkers. My nails are now uneven and shorter than what I wanted. Will not be returning. On the bright side, the pedicure was nice with the hot stones. It was my first time getting my nails done here & I loved my experience. My sister in-law took me here as a Christmas gift. Tammy did what I wanted, I didn't have to explain a lot to her. She made sure the style of my nail, the length of my nails, and the color of the gel fit perfectly with my skin tone and finger shapes. I recommend getting a mani done by her. I also recommend getting your toes done by Cindy, my toe nails look so pretty. The acrylic is not thick at all & she files my nails down really nice as well. I have never been timid or conflicted when writing a review, especially if my experience was horrible and my experience at Hands and Feet Nail Spa was HORRIBLE and then some! My visit was back in November and it has taken me this long to submit my review because: 1. A handful of my friends like this place and have said nothing but great things. 2. Trish did a great job on my nails but was rude and did sand my cuticle so deep it started BLEEDING! I know they get really busy so I called the day before to see if they require appointments. I was told walk-ins were fine. I arrived at 10am on a Wednesday morning and Lien, the owner was already there with 1 customer ahead of me. I expressed wanting acrylics and she understood. I waited a good amount until being seated to a station. Some of Lien's employees, including Trish were running late so she started my nails. *Lien was friendly for 5 seconds and became so unpleasant until the very end! She was pushy about getting coffin shaped nails. I kept trying to engage with her about her business and shared with her about my friends that love Hands and Feet Nail Spa but nothing got her more engaged than speaking about her former employees that have opened their own business. The reviews and my friends spoke highly of Lien so it is unfortunate I didn't get to see it for myself. Trish finally arrives and takes over. She asked what shape and color I would like and I showed her a photo. I wanted a mix between a stiletto and almond shape. After that, her phone rang and she took the call. It was a friend that was visiting her. She was on the phone for a good 10 minutes until Lien told her she should get off the phone. My nails were almost done and I COULD NOT have been more excited TO GET OUT OF THERE but while sanding my cuticles, Trish gets a heavy hand! She sands the corner of my thumb. I said, Ouch loud enough to express the pain but did not scream or shout. -------- The highlight of the experience -------I started bleeding and Trish continues with sanding. I ask for a band-aid and BOTH TRISH & LIEN DOWN PLAY MY CUT! Trish implies it is okay and then Lien implies that cuts HAPPEN ALL THE TIME! I didn't argue and reply that I WILL GET A BAND-AID myself and Lien replies that they have band-aids, I shouldn't worry. I was instructed to wash my cut at the sink and when I asked for a towel, Trish with an attitude says there are towels around the sink, when there really wasn't. She gave me a towel from her station. The entire time, Trish wasn't friendly until she made her mistake. She even tried saying something like people hurt the ones they love. It was so unnecessary! I wanted to be charged for my service and get out of that place!! Instead of $45 they charged me $40 because I only got one coat of the gel nail polish which didn't matter because I gave $5 tip. Clarification: 1. Lien (The Owner) down played a mistake her employee made right in front of the customer! Customers don't go into any business, especially a nail salon wanting a cut or tear in their skin. 2. Trish was extremely rude and negligent. 3. The place is clean. 4. Great customer service is GIVEN SELECTIVELY and to regulars only from what it seems. 5.There is plenty of parking Giving it three weeks and after speaking with a few friends. I returned to get my acrylics removed. Lien and Trish were there. Lien was still unpleasant and Trish was helping another customer. I got my service, paid for it, left without looking back and WITHOUT A CUT! I'm glad my friends had better experiences, as for me, NEVER AGAIN! Oh, and they did give me a band-aid. read more

I love my pedicure because the girl took her time and she is accommodating and she really did what I like to do with my nails because I have a certain way of doing my gel polish but the hot stone massage was less than a minute. Before they start applying the gel polish, I told them I want it 3 coats. The girl that did my pedicure did what I asked them to. But the manicure guy gave me an attitude.. He was finishing the gel so I said "Is that 3 coats?" Then he said "No just two. It's just the same." He even made a face. So I said "No. I want it 3." So he did it anyways. But the thing is, the way that he talked to me is kinda rude. If your client wants something, you should do it. Its not going to harm you if you add one coat. I think he is just getting lazy with his work. And now I am looking at his work, its not really good. There are still some dry cuticle in my nails. I came here as a walk-in at around 10:45 wanting to get a refill and a pedicure. I was the only one waiting for about 10min. Then someone else walks in. They get acknowledge and shortly taken to a chair to get serviced. Five minutes later they take me and sir me in cold water. A man comes to start my nails and no one ever comes for my feet. So as I'm waiting thinking their going to start on me, they start in the lady that came 10 minutes later than I did. At this point I don't want my toes done. I ask to be moved to the nail table to be more comfortable and he does a horrible job. I walk out with no feet done and no polished nails. WTF! To top it off the "manager" told me that she was sorry and they don't do feet and hands at the same time. I literally just sat here and watched a lady get that service. Don't lie. By far the worst manicure I have ever gotten. I was in last week (photos were taken the next morning) I have someone I see regularly near work but as I was getting ready for a trip I meeded a place closer to home so I gave this place a shot. My pedicure was great, my only complaint was how short the hot stone massage was (less than 1 minute). The manicurist came over and I could tell she was in a rush before she even started. She asked if I wanted my nails trimmed or just filed and I said just filed, and then asked what shape I wanted which I replied with flat on top and rounded corners. She barely filed and the shape was sloppy and inconsistent on each nail and then, unlike every other manicurist I've seen, she never asked if it was ok and proceeded to my cuticles. She (literally) just dumped the cuticle softener on my nails and then, I kid you not, just went through the motion of taking the cuticle pusher and skimmed the top leaving all the dead cuticle still on the surface of the nail and didnt effectively push anything back. After she did this on both hands she went to start applying the gel and I said stopped her and said the cuticle was still all over all my nails and it was messy and she went back through with the cuticle cutter and just kept trying to trim back my live tissue. She then did another half-ass job on them and I said its still not fixed, she replied that if she did anymore and I would bleed and I said because she wasnt removing the cuticle from my nail bed. She rolled her eyes and I should have gone with my gut and just told her to stop the manucure all together. She put the color on and it was bumpy and uneven at the cuticle line as well as thick in certain areas (as seen in the picture) When I went to pay, the gentleman asked how everything was and I said the pedicure was great but the manicure not so much and he looked at them and his exact response was "sometimes you just have to wait a few days and it'll look better" I told him "thats not a thing" The very next day, one of the nails cracked. Walked in around 1:45pm & only 2 other Customers were in the salon so I Got seated right away. They Have a wide selection of gel colors to choose from that have matching polish for fingers & toes. The arm chair was big & comfortable. Got the deluxe pedicure with scrub, callous remover, & Hot stone massage and it was very relaxing. Both ladies that did my mani & pedi took their time & did a good job. While I was there I Ended up getting waxed too. Nice one stop shop to get nails and brows done. I only came in for a gel removal, and I've been here 3 times specifically for that- never experiencing anywhere what I saw today. What killed this place for me was a salon worker finishing up on her client, kindly saying good-bye, smiling and waving, as she walks away, then immediately turning around to the woman servicing me, b*tching and complaining about that same client. I COULD NOT BELIEVE what was happening in front of me! Mocking her tone of voice, b*tching about what the woman had to say about her nails. All the while gesturing and mocking in her native tongue, and very loudly by the way. All those in the salon could have heard it. I felt so bad for that woman. We've seen the movies where the stereotypical Asian salon worker talks ish about their clients. I love the movie SISTERS, and the scene talking about their "beef jerky feet" is especially funny, but to actually see it in real life? This was just shocking. Anyone in customer service can relate that sometimes you just can't wait to get rid of your client, but to loudly complain and mock them in front of everybody? That's just not right, and just because you speak another language just makes it that much worse. Recently I came in for a deluxe pedicure , I was stunned at what crawled from under my chair, a roach! Sanitation is so important and I was baffled , being that I work in the health and beauty industry. That is an absolute no no and I could only think of how unsanitary this place was. That was red flag number one. Then, I asked for an oval mail shape and I looked over and they've got a huge pointed edge. I asked the lady to round them off and she tried, but I ended up with a very weird shape and very uneven nails. In the process, she also cut my fingers in 3 different places while filing the nails. I thought "at least the pedicure was okay" but no..the next day, I got home and took my shoes off and something kept hurting. I looked at my toes and realized the nails were the problem. They were hardly cut and were stabbing into my toes. I managed to fix the rest, but there was one that was an ingrown nail as a result. I'm so upset, I've never had an experience like this before. I've given this salon multiple chances and it's been mediocre but this time was just TERRIBLE. Don't come here.. they don't even take cards, just cash or Venmo. read more

Let me start off by saying what an amazing place ! You won't regret coming here ! Customer service is amazing. The place does look very luxurious but the prices won't hurt your bank. I had my bad experience with really bad nail salons.. and maybe like all of us we overpaid for a crappy nail set. My nail set cost 30$ the set comes with a full hand manicure. Just came from this place and I am soo happy they are back! The quality of service is outstanding this place. I love having Angel as my nail tech as she walks you through it and gives you tips about your nails. She'll make you feel welcome too. Price is just a little bit higher comparing to other places that I've been but their care makes up for it. Would love to have a massage chair though while my feet are being done. read more

I went on a Monday morning for a gel manicure and asked for a pink chrome set. I never found out what the employee's name was but I wish she did a better job. My nails were filed uneven and after everything was done, the top coat dried really rough and had uneven texture. I honestly can't believe she let me left the shop with my nails looking like that. I left thinking it was gonna dry smoother but I ended up going back and asked for them to fix it. A different girl added another layer and it looked better. I wasn't mad but I was just disappointed with the whole experience. It's pretty discouraging. Overall Hands and Feet Nail Spa is either a hit or miss. I've had good experiences and I've been unsatisfied as well. I get my pedicures done there consistently and it really depends on who gets to help you. If you find that one specific person that you like working with stick with them. I do believe some employees need to be trained more. read more

I've been coming here since I can remember probably since they opened up business here in Carson (5+ years). Today on my birthday (12/15/2021 @ 1pm) I came in for a special set and to get get my old set I got here removed. It started ok, rather than soaking my nails and using foil the nail tech started filling down my nails (which I told him immediately made my nail bed hot and uncomfortable) Then the nail tech began to pick at my nails with his own nails AFTER filling my nails so thin it was impossible to remove the acrylic. I told him it was very painful and he took my hand back when I pulled away. He ended up yanking a piece of my skin off and I began to bleed when he removed the acrylic. I get it, things happen. But I'm upset I was communicating my pain & he continued. Then others gathered speaking amongst themselves while I was sitting there, trying to get to get my to get my nails still done. I said, "it's possible for me to get an infection if I do bc it's an open wound" then they stopped. Didn't get a sorry for my nail tech instead he looked irritated and I was nothing but kind considering the situation. I paid the $7 to get my nails removed lol. I'm very disappointed. Now I'm a nail-less birthday girl with a bloody chunk of skin lol definitely NOT cool. I can literally pick my own nails at home off. Very unprofessional! read more
