i've been to long lasting nails for a little over two years now! while not regular customers, everytime i come i leave with pretty nails! they had a owner change and since then i haven't as much but the ladies are always really sweet. sometimes communication can be a barrier but if you are patient, they are always willing to listen to you!! they aren't super meticulous or precise but they try their best to listen to what you want. sometimes the designs i want are hard for them to replicate so please keep that in mind. they have select people who can do certain nails so make sure to tell them beforehand!! read more

DONT COME HERE! Unclean, don't know if they clean tools and pillows they put on your lap smell like feet. The lady doing my pedicure went at my big toe no joke for 10 min with the sharp cuticle cutters and make me bleed and after bleeding didn't even clean it with alcohol and kept going! Jasmine is the reason I've been coming here for years! I've actually put my whole family onto this place haha me, my mom, and my sisters all have a different aesthetic and jasmine has such a wide range of talent--she accommodates each of us perfectly! Me and my husband has spend a lot of money on this place and we have both been coming here for years for them to be rude to me. I went in because my 5 year old son had to pee really bad and I got told NO right away and waved at me to get out of there TWICE. Came for a pedicure and the add-ons for $30 is totally worth it: massage, foot scrub and callus remover. Here are the things that make this place "okay" vs "good." 1) Parking lot is small and the spaces are tight. Not ideal for people with SUVs or wide cars. 2) They ask for cash payment only. If you don't have cash, you can Zelle them. 3) The woman who did my feet rushed through it. She also poked me 3 times b/c of how fast she was trying to get through my pedicure. I just moved to Carson & was in search of a new nail salon. I found this place on Yelp & decided to give it a shot. At my first visit, I had a new set of dip nails applied by I believe her name was Julie & she did a good job. Then 3 weeks later, I got a fill from a different nail tech. Initially, I asked her if I needed a new set, but she said it was still ok to apply a fill. Then I asked again, "Should we just remove it & apply new dip over it?" She must have been too lazy to remove them because she only recommended a fill. I said ok & I let her fill it. 2 weeks later, the nails start lifting & one pops off, revealing a brownish discoloration. Turns out I get fungal infection, not just on one nail, but 3 finger nails. I went to urgent care & they prescribed an anti fungal nail lacquer that will clear the fungus in up to 6 months. The Dr also referred me to a dermatologist. I've been going to my old nail salon in Lakewood regularly every 3 weeks for over 2 years & never had this problem. Never going back to Long Lasting Nails again! read more

I called in and Lyly was able to fit me in her schedule for a full set acrylics. I showed her a reference picture of the nails I wanted and she was able to replicate it. I don't usually get acrylics so she gave me suggestions of what she could do, like dip vs. acrylic. She was very straightforward and told me of my options, what it would look like. I had asked for one pinky to be a little rounder and she informed me that after the acrylics are applied that it would make it thicker and rounder giving me the look that I had in mind, rather than filing down too early and me ponot liking the shape. What a horrible experience for my friend and me due to communication issues. This happened early October 2019. It was our first time at this particular Nail Salon, which I found due to reviews on its good pricing. The morning of my friend had called to book an appointment for Sunday at 1:30pm for her to get gel and for me to get acrylic nails. We arrived a few minutes early to no wait, however as soon as we were seated many walk-ins came in - which I think was a stressor for the ladies working in the salon. I was paired with the lady in charge (let's affectionately call her LIC), who explained that only herself and one other worker knew how to apply acrylic nails (red flag). My friend was seated with a different lady since she was just getting gel. The problems started when my friend was trying to find a glittery color that matched a photo she was looking at. I will say she was indecisive about how to get as close to the look as possible, with a combination of regular and chrome polish. BUT the lady she was with did not understand her. The lady filed her nails first, but they were slanted. So my friend asked her to file them straighter, using lots of gestures. The LIC would constantly talk to the lady doing my friends nails, and I could see LIC growing more frustrated that my friend was having other issues. The other lady doing my friends nails then asked LIC how to achieve the chrome color, and the LIC sternly told my friend to "come here and show" her what she wanted. My friend asked if there was another chrome color to match the color she wanted, and that was the last straw for LIC. She immediately started ranting loudly, in front of the other customers, that she personally painted the nail samples herself and those were the only options she offered. My friend, who was shaken up, responded that she no longer wanted to get her nails done, still paid $10 for getting her nails filed -crookedly-, and waited for me while the LIC was finishing my nails. Awkward is an understatement for the whole encounter. Personally, my nails turned out okay. I picked a chrome style from the samples, which I realize is easier than showing a photo, because at least you know what you are getting, and so do the nail techs. I also had no issues with nail breakage or lifting. The price was fair for the full set + chrome ($45). I won't come back to this place because of how badly the woman in charge spoke to me and my friend, and this was by far the worse communication I've seen in a nail salon, and I know sometimes it is not easy. read more

I made an appointment for dipping powder with Lyly 1 WEEK PRIOR to the appointment. On the day of the appointment, i came in and told them that i have an appointment. An old man came and started working on my nail... i was shocked.... Where is lily? so I mentioned that I made an appointment with Lyly. She came and say few words about the color that I'm choosing. and left... so I asked again, is Lyly not available? What was the point of making an appointment if i can't pick the stylist... Finally she started working on my nail, but she looked really upset.. I asked that I would like my nail shape to be round and she just yelled at me. It's too late I don't have time !! But i only asked for the shape to be round because she hasn't shaped my nail yet... she was mumbling Vietnamese. I have no idea what she said.. so i didn't really mind.. she continues using the drill on my nail, but she kept picking up the incoming call (at least 5 times...) and accidentally (?) cut my finger with the drill ... oops... well she didn't say anything to me, but you know it hurts :( i just told her mot to touch the part... I'm not happy to leave this review but I had the worst experience my last visit. I had got a fill 2 weeks ago and wanted a brand new set. I know to remove acrylics you need to either soak them in acetone to soften them and then remove them and drill off the remaining. The staff here ripped my nails off!!!! I now have infected nails with one nail having puss coming from the middle of my nail where there is a hole where you can see raw nail bed, because they ripped off the nails using another fake nail to dig under my nails. I can't believe I sat through it and even worse the owner made me pay $8 for ruining my real nails and giving me an infection. I'll never know if my nails will be the same. I've gotten my nails done for years. This has never happened to me. I asked if they can soak them and they said no that ripping off the nails is the only way this can be done. My nails hurt so bad I didn't even get a new set. For my nails to have puss coming from the nail beds should tell you how much damage was done to them. All my nails are ripped and damage. Why would you think it's ok to charge me for this? I ended up spending over $50 for ripped nails and my daughters new set..I felt so stupid. Horrible experience! The young lady that works here rushed my whole process of my getting a pedicure and finished my pedicure within less than 15 min. It wasn't a relaxing experience at all. My sister sat down before me and happened to finish after me while I sat there a good 10 min waiting for her. Then the lady kept trying to sell me on everything which was very frustrating. I have been a loyal customer for 2 years and would come for Sandy who is no longer here. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I am now fed up and refuse to come back. More times than I can count, I have an appt scheduled but they still make me wait 15-20min. But today was the absolute worst. I called twice to confirm my appt at 5:30pm. I just wanted to get THE most basic mani/pedi; cut/trim, file/buff, remove cuticle & NO polish. I got exactly that with the basic massage & scrub with the pedicure & massage with the manicure. Sandy offered a few other things & when I declined she didn't push for more. And she did exactly what I asked for. I walked in at the top of the morning on a Sunday. Honestly very surprised by the good reviews. Or maybe I just went at a bad time. I called ahead of time to see if they had time available to remove my acrylic nails. They said yes I showed up and when she realized they were gel x she rolled her eyes made a grunt sound and said "this is going to take too long" Then started to cut the tips of my fake nails so fast that she didn't even look at the length of my real nails and nail bed length until she nicked my skin. She kept sighing before passing me on to a different manicurist. When I switched the new person asked me to choose a new color so I could get a manicure after they removed the gel x. All the bottles on the wall of regular nail polish were so old that the paint was separating. That should've been my sign to leave right there and then but I really wanted these nails off. The removal process was so rushed and messy. I left with cuts all around my nails and honestly the worst manicure ever. The polish was so uneven and gunky. On the drive home I somehow already had multiple chips and the nail polish was moving around on my nail. I won't be back. read more

I've been here a few times. Mostly because they are on the cheaper side. Went in this weekend for a last minute fill change. The service was okay, except when I asked the nail tech to add something simple to my nails. I got attitude, and she cut me off every time when I was trying to talk. Towards the end, she rushed my nails and ended up smearing the design a bit when she put on the finishing coat. I realized at the end that it was because she wanted to take the next person that came in, that hadn't even been waiting that long. I didn't tip that well. I'm honestly tired of how these salons act. I've been told they can't do anything beyond a simple design here by the owner, like I've had the money to pay for more but they're just lazy here. I found another tech in Long Beach who is amazing and takes her time. She wanted to make sure I loved my nails and they turned out just like the picture. I was shocked that she didn't give me attitude, she didn't leave to work on other people's nails which is routine practice here. My friend and I tried this nail salon 3 weeks ago. Place was packed and busy. We made an appointment but still have to wait 20 minutes. It was our first time and we dont know anyone. Somebody did my pedicure but she was an amateur and she ask help from another manicurist to remove my toes ingrown but that second person was also not able to remove my ingrown but the third one named kathy did it. My nail bled on both toes and the ordeal was excruciating pain. Kathy was good enough. We went back the second time we were 15 minutes late so the manager named lily was rude to us. She gave kathy another customer because we were late. Not ok. These manicurists dont even sanitize their chairs, equipments after use. The whole place is filthy. Owner lily is Rude with a loud mouth.
