The Del Amo Mall Sephora is a nice-sized store. This is one of my favorite stores. When I'm in need of a few cosmetics I come here. I must not have noticed a couple of well let's say, guys working here. They were the cutest ever, well-informed, and appeared to be better informed than the girls. I will add that if you have never been here, you must check it out as they have everything from Foundation, Lipsticks. Fake Lashes, Shampoo, lip liners, makeup, perfume, and I was surprised to see Men's Cologne some name brands and much more. Employees should prioritize maintaining the tester areas and ensuring that products are functional and hygienic, rather than spending excessive time chatting with one another. It's also difficult to get assistance--staff often seem to avoid approaching customers, which feels strange and unhelpful. Checkout lines are consistently long as well, with too few registers open to meet customer demand. With Ulta gaining popularity and many former Sephora customers taking their business elsewhere--including department stores and online retailers--Sephora can't afford to let customer experience slip any further. read more

It's a relatively small Sephora located inside del amo shopping mall, and the store is not far outside of Marcy's entrance. They carry limited brands and categories, and I find it's also hard to get attention from their staff for help. read more

I had the pleasure of doing a makeup service from Marisol N. on 2/18/26 and 2/22/26 for my 6th and 7th Lady Gaga concert. Marisol was an excellent beauty advisor and did an amazing job both times with giving me the makeup, etc. that I envisioned for myself before arrival. She went above and beyond, making sure that I was 100% satisfied with the end product. Very friendly and detailed with the look that I wanted/music video reference. The constant following customers around just bc they look "suspicious/ or about to steal" is HARRASMENT and super judgemental thats why the mall has securities. If you guys want to keep your customers and not drive them out I suggest to stop following and harassing people just bc they look bummy or in comfortable clothing. Decided I wanted to spend my birthday doing some shopping and needed some help picking out products. I work in a restaurant and my make up never stays dry put. I had excellent service from Bianca. I usually get overlooked in Sephora because I don't wear much make up, but I do love it. I have quite a few insider points which always seems to surprise the girlies at the register. Bianca was patient, helped me pick out a setting powder and helped me figure out how to make my makeup stay put with two sprays. She made my birthday special. It took just a few minutes of her time to help me, but it means a lot. read more

I made a return for quite a bit of items, mostly unused on 1/9/24. The cashier was incredibly rude. When the receipts printed she made a point to tell me here are all the items she has to damage out. Again, most of the items were unused and if they were used, only a small amount as is allowed per the return policy. After finishing I said thank you have a nice day and she flat up said NOTHING back to me. Do not take your return policy out on customers. read more

I walk in, wasn't welcomed in, which is fine, don't need that. There were two employees talking with each other, which again okay. I do a loop and can't find what I need. I approach those two employees (now there are a couple more added to the conversation) I am about to ask for help when a guy says "have a nice day"to me. Um..okay. I went in because I needed a new foundation and concealer. As I walked in, two staff members greeted me and others. Already a plus! I searched for the brand I wanted to buy, as I browsed first, Giselle approached me with a friendly greeting asking if I needed assistance. She helped me pick the tones that matched my skin color. I appreciated that she took note that I had my kids with me and instead of having me walk to get supplies to help test out makeup, she brought them to where my kids and I were. It seemed busy, but I didn't take a long time selecting the makeup products or waiting to pay. Great experience today. read more

This is the most difficult time for cosmetics and I am glad that this Sephora location has opened with precautions. They now have little clear plastic boards for customers to try on everything. It also takes more time to shop unless you know what you want already. Sales people are even more friendly than before cause they want to make sure that customers get the help they want. They are giving out more samples to attract more customers I think. I didn't try anything cause I knew what I wanted already. So it didn't take long for us to shop here. Be prepared to spend some time in line outside because of the limited capacity. If you want to try on makeup that's gonna take even longer time. I am glad the store is taking all the precautions to ensure the safety of customers. Ps. A little kid was touching all the displayed samples all over the store. The mom and staff members should have stopped him right away. What was the point to not let customers try on makeup on their own, if there was someone touching everything already! read more

The person doing the makeup didn't really listen to what I requested. The eyelashes fell off after a hour. I was not happy with the shape of my eyebrows. The colors selected were not connected. I went to Manhattan Beach Sephora before and the makeup artists are better. I tried to book an appointment there and it was already closed for appointments the day I needed to go. Yesterday I walked into this Sephora looking for a few items for my trip I am about to leave for. I was greeted and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I said "actually I am. I'm looking for a product similar to NYX photo perfect primer. It kind of has like a silicone type of feel," the lady directed me to about 4 associates who were all standing in a group, every single one of them pointed to this new product called Murad. Now the issue doesn't lie with the product alone, it felt like a great product, but here is where the issue lies... the $71 price point. I'm coming in asking for a $9 product and the only recommendation all 4 people were able to give me was a $71 product? They continued to sell me on this product of which I made it very clear that I was not going to buy bc of the price point and that I rarely ever wear make up so it would be an absolute waste for me and the product. I also asked if they carried morphe setting spray. They said they didn't, totally fine. I asked if they had another product that was like it. Not one person could confidently guide me to a product that was similar. I told them what it was and how the product worked on my skin. A younger girl pointed me to the Sephora brand, I asked if she had ever used it, her answer was so insecure that I knew she was lying and hadn't used the product. I also knew that out of all the products in the store, that was not the best one for me. I'm not trying to degrade the Sephora line, but once again, no comparison and not the product I was looking for. Here is my experience in a summary; out of the 5 associates I came in contact with: 1 they didn't know their products. They only knew what was being promoted at the time. With an entire store full of leading brands, these associates need to know what they are selling. They failed. 2: after I wasn't interested in the $71 product, they left me stranded. They had zero interest in continuing to help me. This is awful for sales. Don't abandon your buyers bc they don't want to spend $71 on 1 single primer. That's unfair. It's especially unfair to see them all go back to their huddle and talk meanwhile I'm still trying to find a product I need. 3: 90% of the staff was not professionally presentable. Most were wearing unrealistic concepts with super bright pigments and not what the average classic look that people are generally looking for. Most of them look like they were about to hit the cat walk for a drag show or Rick owens fashion show. Their makeup was caked on, greasy, incredibly bright pigmented with yellow and green high placement shadows. Granted I love those looks, but they can be very intimidating to just your average person wanting to purchase some new products for their skin care routines. How many items did I purchase? Zero. Why? Bc no one knew their product, no one really wanted to give effort in helping, no one wanted to make this experience a memorable one so they would have a returning customer. How many items did I buy on Amazon once I left the store bc I was extremely disappointed? All of them. This is why businesses have low numbers. This is why online shopping is winning. The lack of customer support and follow through to make sure your customers come back lack incredibly. I could have gotten the same service sitting from my couch. Make up is a huge part of our society these days and there are many! Influencers who know their products and know how to sell. Please hire these types of people. Please do not hire someone who prefers to just stand long the side and talk to each other when there is an entire room full of customers looking for their next new product. These workers need to be rotating around the floor making sure traffic is coming in and out. The longer the buyer stays in the store, the less they will be enticed to buy bc like me it can be extremely overwhelming and disappointing to see that I'm struggling and they are chatting. Also keeping the flow coming in and out and constant engagement prevents theft. Which I saw 3 people steal while I was there. Did I say anything? No. Why? Bc your workers should have been helping. The more engagement you have the less time the person has on their hands to do such acts. As a business owner, this establishment needs their aces in their places and more training on how to help their buyers. Needless to say: I won't be back. read more

I don't understand why almost all Sephora locations have bad customer service? They just do. Went early weekday to grab make up and as always they never ask if I need assistance or acknowledge. Although if you're the right person (leave #1 reason alone) and if you look loaded $$$, young or highly attractive or enhanced, your in; As for the rest of us that AREN'T any of that, get used to being ignored and not valued. Normally when I come to this Sephora I have only good things to say (besides the lines) but when I went in for a specific color corrector I wanted to sample and ask for recommendations based on that product, I was just directed one aisle over to a product that wasn't related at all to the one I was asking about. Not only that, but the employee took the tester one and scraped barely enough for one cheek into the container, handed it to me and turned away without saying anything. Rudest staff I've encountered. I went to return an item. Unfortunately, the bottom part was missing. He asked me for my phone # and told me that my purchase wasn't in my purchase history. I thought that was odd because 1: He was the one who rung me up in the first place. 2: How is it that he mentioned previously that I had points for a free gift if my info didn't pop up? Didn't even offer store credit (I looked it up online). ( I have a pretty good feeling this is the same guy the other reviewer was talking about). As I left the store I decided to check the app (which I totally forgot to do while in the store) to see what phone # I had in my account. Surprise, surprise, I see my purchases in my purchase history. The same one that wasn't supposedly there. I am now over 31 days so, I can't get my money back anymore. I'm going to go back there, return the item and use the store credit towards something else. I don't shop Sephora much but, if I do I will go to the Manhattan one. i had came here a week and a half ago maybe..i came in after work from beverly hills. i live closer to here and i needed to do a return since one product didnt work out for my brow color and the other product was a mascara that didnt work on me at all. i did do a pick up purchase from nordstrom prior to coming here at the mall...so it was in a bit of larger bag for my nordstorm purchases. when i came into sephora. im not sure if this guy was in mgmt or not, but he seemed like a "pretty boy" with dark brown hair that all the hypebeast boys have with the hair cut. but i didnt like his approach... i felt like he was a lil condescending because not only did he look me up and down but i felt his eyes and other people's eyes were on me. im not sure if my nordstrom shopping bag (size of it) was the cause or im just in my casual work clothes but everyone here should know better NOT to be judging anyone. casual clothes or not...you do not know how much money i have or make. i make enough to not steal and feel like im not "wanted" here. i am a rogue member and not even just that... a paying customer. i found things i wanted to exchange it for and i still felt uneasy as i was browsing. because i understand being asked if i wanted help once or twice maybe. i work in cservice as well as a mgr and a visual merch. im not going to steal because i believe in karma and also working in the industry should not make you feel entitled than anyone. i did my exchange and was out in 5 mins. i wanted to purchase more things but decided to just get the rest of my necessities online. i stopped coming to this location and will go to manhattan beach or i just visited the irvine spectrum location and their cservice was genuine. read more

They are allowing customers inside again. I went on 1/30/2021 and was greeted by Beth who was very friendly, and willing to help me around. She was very clean when she color matched me and helped me test make up by using plastic disposable trays and having me apply it myself. Ultimately, Beth assisted me with finding a new foundation, concealer, blush and a contour stick. All the staff were attentive, had on a mask, and used hand sanitizer often. read more
