I do A LOT of business in Ultra Beauty - and I set an appointment on Friday, March 1st for multi tone color and cut for Sunday, March 10th at 11 am with Jessie W. $174.00 service. I received confirmation and reminders of my appointment up until today. 13 minutes before the appointment I receive a call from, I believe Terry (Theresa R.), who - based on reviews is also in the salon, that my stylist "can't make it in today". This is unacceptable, unprofessional and I highly recommend if you would like to be respected as a customer and spend you money - do not go to Ultra Beauty at 249 Hartford Avenue in Bellingham, MA. You will receive FAR better consideration with a more elite salon - that I may add - charges the same and has far more experience. read more

I am not sure what is up with all these horrible reviews but in regards to the person talking about the rewards program I do know that the employees there are forced to basically harass customers to sign up for their rewards program and if they don't they can potentially be fired if enough people don't sign up during a shift. Anywaysss, I've always had a great experience at this store. I like that they are one of the only Ulta's in Massachusetts that carries the brand Hourglass in store. The employees also don't harass you every five seconds asking if you need help, but anytime I've needed assistance I've been able to quickly find someone to help me. read more

Brought my niece to use a gift card she got for Christmas. Only 1 woman asked if she could assist me. I didn't need help but I appreciated her customer service. Spent a good 40 minutes in the store being simultaneously overwhelmed yet impressed by the variety products. When we were ready to checkout the cashier Laurel seemed utterly disinterested in us. She got even less friendly when I declined to sign up for their rewards program. She informed me that I wouldn't be able to return anything if they didn't have my phone #. Clearly a lie. The employees at this location are so rude if you hate retail and customer service this much you can get another job?? I went in and saw the BOGO sale for the minis and the display for the minis was big and a little bit unorganized so I just wanted to double check that this promotion applied to everything on the display and I asked the older lady who was standing next to it if the BOGO applied to all the items I see and she goes "That's what the sign says doesn't it?" Like yes I can read the sign but there's so many products i wanted to confirm. And little do I know when I get to the register one of the mini items I had picked up was not part of the promotion, so I asked this other younger cashier if I could go swap it out for something that was and while I did that she started taking a different customer which was perfect and gave me more time to look. I started browsing until she was done and then I hear her say "Oh she's still looking around I don't know what she's doing" like what? I'm literally just looking at products right next to the register while you finish up with your current customer and then ring me up next. They all need to relax. read more

Terry just cut my hair. Thank you very much for your attention to detail. Let me back up a bit. A few months ago I didn't even know ULTA had a salon. I was in to pick up a few items and was in line to cash out and I noticed one of the salesperson's curls. I have always loved curly hair , as mine was stick straight. I complemented their beautiful hair. One of the sales person piped up and said we can give you curls; and so Terry did!! It takes me 8 minutes to dry my hair. I can go days between washing it. This store offers some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've been in dozens of times and nothing ever changes. The associates are ALWAYS just standing around and talking. When you ask for help of any kind, they respond like you've annoyed them for asking them to do their job. It's the worst when you're looking for recommendations. They'll show you quickly to one item, usually the most expensive option and not the best fit, and walk away. The store is almost always out of the items I need, too. The more popular items are always low on stock and several times I've left empty handed because they have sold out and not been restocked. The whole experience is extremely fake. I've never been met with smiles or a nice greeting and it's easy to tell when you're being judged on the items you're purchasing. Most of this staff should be fired. They're more of a high school clique than a group of sales associates. The only reason I will continue to shop here is out of convenience. I go for the things I know I specifically can't get elsewhere (or without driving ridiculously far) and that's it. read more

My wife called in to get some information before making an appointment: she wanted to know what services they offer and whether it's what she's interested in. Before she could even finish her question she was greeted with an abrupt attitude, something like: uhm, yeah, before I can answer any questions I need to get your name in the system. She continued being rude throughout the phone call, to the point where my wife had no interest in making an appointment! It was my first time at Ulta Salon in Bellingham, MA and i only went there because a stylist i have followed wherever she went was working there. Her name is Christina and as always she did a great job. It was my first time not using Goldwell because i have a sensitive scalp. She assured me that Redken would be fine with the sweet n low mixed in. She was absolutely right! No issues with my scalp and my hair came out awesome! She covered the gray and put in some low lights. I was so happy with the end result. Christina is the best!! read more

I moved to Massachusetts from California about six months ago. Yesterday I was driving around and looked to my left and there was the familiar orange Ulta sign. I was so excited, turned in and met Amy, the most amazing Benefits Consultant ever! I have a not so symmetrical face and my eyebrows crazy. Amy says eyebrows are sister not twins, lol I think mine are ugly stepsisters. Well they were until Amy worked her magic, waxing, plucking, and trimming followed by a lesson with stencils, brow powder, brush and setter. Amazing!!!!! Amy also put other makeup on me and I think I looked so cute I should have gone out. Too bad my husband didn't notice when I got home. Men, lol. read more

This review is for the hair salon. I wish they had stylists that know how to work with curly/wavy hair. This is the second time I've been disappointed here. Today I scheduled an appointment online for an accent color, I was looking to get purple dye underneath the back of my hair. The salon called and told me the time I selected wouldn't work- I agreed to come an 1.5 hours later. Then 30min before my appointment the stylist called to ask if I could come in the next afternoon instead, which I couldn't, so we kept the appointment for today. When I arrived, the stylist and receptionists eyes practically popped out of their heads. The stylist said she couldnt do my hair today because it was "longer and thicker than she thought it'd be"- I reminded her that on the phone i said it was below my shoulders. They kept staring and making comments that made me feel like I did something wrong. I said, "well should I cancel then?" They offered to reschedule to another day when they'd have more time. I declined because I'm not really into spending money on someone who just roasted me. As I was shopping around the store after, I heard the stylist loudly bitching to multiple people about the situation. I was embarrassed to hear her describing my hair in a nasty tone for literally the whole store to hear. The other time (Jan 2020) I went to the salon to get my hair straightened by a younger woman who endlessly commented on how she couldn't believe how textured my hair is for a white girl. lmao. Super unprofessional. I won't be trying this salon again. And I definitely won't recommend it. read more

Every time I shop this store i am harassed about the rewards program. Several times it was so bad I left my purchases on the counter and walked out without buying them. The last time I was in the store I said no thank you twice to the program and finally said to the clerk that I am regretting coming into the store. The clerk rang up my purchase and acted as though I had offended her. A customer should not be required to hand over personal information in order to purchase a product in your store!! read more

I agree with the others about the lack of friendliness. I have walked around looking for an item as clerks chat away and ignore me. A few times I have asked if they carry a certain item, and the response has been, "I don't think so" ... meaning they are too lazy to look, (so I'll do it myself). Just got my hair done. I love the way my hair came out. However, i expected to pay $125 plus tax for it like the website said when i booked it. Got the bill and its $175. $50 more than i wanted to spend!!! Then as i was checking out i hear the girl who was up front ask Terrie the lady who did my hair if i tipped her. They were speaking very loud and i found it very rude. I will not be going back to that place ever. Foxboro is way better and they treat the customers much better too. This is now the second time i've had a bad experience at ulta. First one was at ulta in attleboro and now bellingham. I've been going to ulta stores for some time now. We have been waiting for a long time for the bellingham store to open. I have to be honest, the ladies who work in this particular store are not friendly at all. Most are not interactive or interested in much of what you have to say or answering your questions. I have been in 4 X and spent a large amounts of money since they opened. At the very least you would think because they just opened they would be super nice. Its not as though it had been extremely busy during the times I had been in. Unexpected attitudes and lack of interest in selling products compared to natick and patriots place. I usually only go to this Ulta for makeup, but decided to get my eyebrows waxed one Saturday afternoon. I usually only go to a Benefit Brow Bar in Salem, NH because the girl who does it there is amazing, so I figured all Brow Bars were the same. I was so disappointed with my brows. They didn't look symmetrical, still had wax on my face, and the girl who waxed my brows (I forget her name) only took about 10 minutes and then she was done (even my boyfriend was surprised when I told him I was done already). A little disappointed, but I am sure if that girl took her time, she would be great. Will be making the hour drive to NH to get my brows done instead. read more

I am not one to usually talk down on places/write reviews. BUT.. I was beyond disappointed with my service here. I booked a make up session with Tina for 5:30, on my birthday. I had a nice dinner planned and I was excited to get my makeup done so I didn't have to stress it & I was interested in purchasing new products. Well come 5:30 I stood & waited at the check in area, I see Tina... STARTING someone else's makeup... so I am staring, and she rudely says "why are you standing there do you need something" I said yes actually I had an appointment for 5:30.. and she says "oh ok hang on" and then 30 minutes later she was like are you going somewhere? (Which shouldn't matter) but I said yes. & she said 5 min. So I continue to wait as she's slowly taking her time helping this lady & this ladies mother and AN HOUR LATER!!! she comes over. And let me just say, if she Is your only makeup artist i am sorry but just don't offer makeup. She had no idea what she was doing & I had to fix like 5 things & remind her to do other things. Then she asked for help printing me my receipt & instead of 45 she charged 30 and told the lady "she waited 30 minutes" I wanted to rudely interupt and say AN HOUR ACTUALLY but I was just over it. Then the lady at check out asked if I wanted to tip and I was nicely explaining how disappointed I was with the service and she made no comment and said "wanna donate" .
