My nail tech showed me the options and although I chose the Basic Pedicure, it was certainly more than just basic ! The exfoliating gel that was warm in plastic over my heels was certainly a nice treat! My second visit I decided to splurge and get gel manicure along with my second time pedicure here. The staff was incredibly helpful providing all the information on the options and what would suit me best. I decided to get some tips to add length and when I tell you they look so natural and beautiful... wow ! Irene was my tech and she was meticulous and professional. Dazzle Dry polish is different than regular polish. I have had manicures with it in the past and also have a kit at home. The first step is to wipe the nails with Dazzle Dry nail prep. Our technician did not do this. The second step is to apply two coats of the activator which must first be put into warm water until it is clear. I noticed that the technician never put the bottle in water and that it was already clear. I didn't say anything because they are the professionals. He then applied two coats of polish. When it was time for the top coat, when he picked up the bottle he noticed and I did too, the the liquid was cloudy. He put the bottle down and used what he has used for step two. I wished I had said something because within 4 hours my granddaughters nail polish had a chip. By 6 hours all of the polish was off one finger and by the morning 8 out of 10 nails were chipped. We went back to the salon the next day and showed the owner. She said my granddaughter must have touched something that caused the lifting. When I nicely said I didn't think the technician had properly applied the polish she became defensive and said they were professionals! Four months prior when my daughter's Dazzle Dry manicure began to lift after 2 days the owner graciously redid it. So this is what I expected not her attitude that they had done nothing wrong and it was my granddaughter's fault. In a huffy way the owner said she would give me my money back- she only gave me back $10 which is the extra cost to have Dazzle Dry done. I was so shocked that I didn't even put up a fight to have the entire cost of $20 refunded. As my granddaughter stated: "When I walk by here next time I'm going to have a sign that says BAD SERVICE" I will not return here because of the way we were treated when we were not satisfied with their service!

I've never been to T&T but they kindly accepted us as 2 walk in pedicures at 6:20pm. The service here was amazing. So nice, tranquil and truly a relaxing experience. Not rushed at all. I asked for the green tea pedicure. They do a body scrub wash on the legs and feet, a moisturizing mask to the legs and then wrap them in plastic wrap. The lotion they use is wonderful, absorbs and you feel moisturized (I didn't slip around in my flip flops after like some other pedicures elsewhere in the past). They then massage your legs and they turn on a steam device which provides a nice warm feeling over the legs while getting massaged. Then they do heated stones. Finally they paint toe nails perfectly. When they place you at their drying station you're already so relaxed from the leg/feet massage plus the massage chair, but then you become even more relaxed as they offer a shoulder massage that lasts 2 minutes. It was so nice and the perfect ending to our day. I am really happy our pedicures that were scheduled elsewhere did not work out because we found this gem of a nail salon and now this will be the only one we are going to from now on!!

But the hygiene is really poor here. The same tools are used across clients without any sanitation in between (clippers, cuticle trimmers, nail files, electric drimmels) and it makes me so uncomfortable. If they can just increase their hygiene practices it would be perfect. I also have the problem with the nail techs always over buffing my nails. The common practice these days in all the salons is to use the electric drimmel to buff nails and it always hurts and damages my nails so much. I used to do my own dip nails for years and know they don't need that much buffing so it's a shame. I'd love to do my own nail prep and then have the artists just paint the designs.
