I booked a first time appointment for a curly cut and style with Christina and she was so wonderful! We first just discussed my hair and the products I usually use. She then described what she thought would be best for my hair and why. She was a great listener and also gave great tips to maintain healthy curls. Shimmer is ALWAYS clean and ready to accommodate all of the clients that are in the salon. Second, the ambiance in the business - I have to say, I love the comfortable yet stylish decor in Shimmer. Brand new chairs (super comfortable for the longer appointments) - and new chairs at the washing and dryer stations. I love to see places that maintain their furniture and decor; no one wasn't to sit in old and dirty salons. I have to say, the best part about the place is Nichole! She has always made sure that I was in the best hands! I began having her do my hair from when she worked at another salon. I had to follow her to her own salon! Nichole has time and time again worked with my schedule; which can be difficult. She's made sure that I can get all of the services that I need and get on my merry way- lickity-split! The quality of care that you'll receive here is A+ - I've religiously gone to Shimmer for hair cuts, styling, products, and the occasional special service or treatment.
