I went recently and left with my hair Looking pretty much exactly the same. I asked for natural blonde. I got light brown. I asked for a partial but when I got to the counter she charged me for a full. When I asked why she said she "had to other pieces" even though she didn't ask me if I wanted her too. After I left I called to see if she could fix it. She was rude and kept telling me that she was the hair dresser and she knows what she's doing. When I told her I wasn't basing it on that. I was basing it on how my hair looks she said she'd call me the following day. She never did. I haven't heard from her since. Such bad service and a terrible look. I may go back to the salon but I absolutely will not see her again

I'm giving them a 2 star after the one because "supposedly" the owner Becky is going to reimburse…read moremy last visit and the tip. I had always tipped because there was a service done, the bleach on the scalp took some time. However I've not yet seen the reimbursement, and basically was told by the owner Becky that I should have contacted her - which is what I did many a time. Her response is she has her front desk staff have the client deal with the hairdresser first, then she'll intervene. Well when this first happened, I called said it was purple in places and was told by the receptionist that "Laurie was busy she would call me back." Laurie never called me back, her receptionist did and said Laurie said to wash it a few times. When I said I had washed it 3 times already, the receptionist went back to Laurie and Laurie told her to tell me to wash it a few more times. Now Becky the owner states this is normal to see purple deposit as she basically blamed my hair and choice of color as the issue. I believe her correspondence to me here was "when you want it that light with no warmth there can be purple deposit from the toner." She states this as normal, makes me feel like it's my fault that I choose a hair color - yet the girl that did cover for Laurie on maternity leave, used the same formula, took her time because she was new to my hair, and my hair had ZERO purple tone when I left. Becky additionally tells me that it takes a skilled colorist to do my hair. No, a skilled colorist would not overlap the toner on already processed hair. I had seen two owners of salons where they stated it's all on how much time you take with the client, you don't rush to overlap on previously blonde hair. The owner messages me here saying that I ruined Laurie and her reputation? And that she works hard to build her business? My hair showing purple when it should be light blonde is a reflection on their reputation and how they allow you to leave the salon like that - stating it's all normal for my porous hair. She must not know that the salons I did talk to and one that I decided to go with, said any hair that's dark and stripped becomes porous. So to use that as an excuse for her employee's mistake is quite ignorant on her behalf. Lastly Becky claims I harassed them with 10 min messages. If you know of any phone recording that allows over 2 ... let me know. I guess harassing by saying you've asked for her on multiple times but she as she says allows her front desk staff to make the call on who I should complain to is a threat. I guess it's also harassing when you say you'll review how they've treated you and your hair. As I figured - my hair was blamed as the problem not the stylist Laurie, but yet a new hairdresser can get it this blonde with no purple? Yet according to Becky purple tinge is normal. *Keep getting their employees viewing my profile Laurie T or N who decided to delete her stuff, and a Michele M or T depending on how they use their maiden or married name. It's funny that they know I utilize billy for extensions at this salon and I've already contacted billy via text to tell them what we're dealing with. Keep getting other harassing dms through yelp from random profiles that just get set up - no reviews or a review of just this salon. So you show what Laurie does to your hair and you get harassed by their employees and friends. Have contacted yelp on this matter as well as others in this matter.

If you are considering this place for a special updo, I would not recommend it. My daughter has…read morebeen to this salon in the past for a haircut with a female hairstylist and we have been happy with our experience. However, my daughter went in for a prom appt last May and unfortunately and unbeknownst to me, we were given what seemed to be a new and inexperienced Male hairstylist. My daughter showed Sam an example of a half up and half down updo with some soft beach waves. Instead, she received an updo that lacked sheekness and elegance with tight curls. I honestly could have done a much better job and have in the past, but wanted to avoid the stress of doing her hair on such a special occasion. I honestly don't think that any person going to a special event such as the Prom or a Wedding should have to go through the horrific experience we went through on this day. This is my first time writing a negative review, but we were upset that the manager disregarded how upset we were and never received an apology from anyone. This was very upsetting. I understand that like any job it takes time and experience for a hairstylist to become very good. However, shame on them for allowing an inexperienced hairstylist to take on updos on such an important day as the Prom. The receptionist could have mentioned that perhaps he was new. I regret not taking a picture. I had to immediately redo her hair at home in a 30 minute window before pictures were taken. I am not one to post something so negative or hurtful , but I want to save future girls from experiencing what we experienced.

I used to be a hair-extensions enthusiast. For years, I would try different techniques and…read morestylists in Boston and surrounding areas. At one point, I was driving an hour plus away from the city, looking for a salon with the right balance between expertise, quality and fairness, until I found Jesamondo and Whitney. Whitney is simply the most talented and detailed-oriented hair-extensions artist I've ever worked with, and God knows I've worked with many, including name salons in the city that often times where overpriced and overbooked. Whitney's funneled passion for hair extensions and the different types and techniques has taken her focus and ongoing training to installing beautiful extensions that have your natural hair in mind. And, while I also miss her haircuts so much--and our deep conversations--since I moved out of state, I miss my long, full layers when Whitney was in charged. Needless to say, I am on a long break from hair extensions because she's too far away, but that's a different story. Point is, she's set the bar high, and it won't be easy to find someone that checks all these boxes. If you're looking for a hair extensions specialist, and want to work with a genuinely fair and thoroughly trained stylist; someone who knows exactly what they're doing and what the best approach for your own needs is, swing by Jesamondo and book a consultation with Whitney. My best guess is you won't be disappointed and you too will be rocking long and beautiful locks that will be installed with precision, comfort and future growth in mind.

My hair was literally SMOKING because of whatever chemicals they decided to use. My scalp feels like it has multiple cigarette burns... And the worst part is that after I spent seven hours there my hair, which was supposed to be blonde, is nothing more than a rats nest of gray! GRAY! It took three people 15 minutes to comb through my hair that was saturated in conditioner. It normally takes me less than two minutes. My hair is now brittle and broken. To top things off the owner had the audacity to charge me more for this mess than what I paid before! She wanted me to pay $230 when I paid $200 and it included a haircut last time. The hairdresser had the audacity to tell me that my hair was Orange, which is why it turned gray. It was definitely not orange and I hadn't touched my hair since the last time I went to this same salon back in March. I used their products. Once done, I was charged 30 dollars for a 10minute cut. I asked about it, they said the price was 25 years old and it was incorrect. Last I checked, if the price is incorrect they should let costumers know, it was of no fault of my own. I explained to the owner the situation she said I was wrong and that was for another salon, should her the address, and even the picture of the outside of the place. She didn't know how to respond, and walked to the back of the Establishment. They charged my card for 30 dollars, and gave me back a 5 dollar discount in cash.
