Everyone is genuinely friendly and seems to really love working there. They called me in the morning to confirm my allergies and check to see which products I'd prefer. The haircut was great!! Liv listened and worked with me to give me the best new do possible, and was understanding of my needs and goals. I will be back multiple coworkers saw me after my appt and complemented my new hair and brows! Haven Beauty makes you feel HEARD, valued, and seen. I was honest with Haven about my allergies and informed them I've had issues with all products in the past at other salons, etc. I booked a facial and was floored with how knowledgeable and helpful Dawn was to me. She took the time to check the products she was going to use to see if they'd be safe for me. The facial was lovely and for the first time EVER, I bought the recommended facial cream as I was able to confirm it was in fact 100% safe for me. I never thought I'd be able to get back to a salon with my allergies and I'm so happy to have found Haven Beauty!! I feel like I'm finally on the road to better skin with safe products. Katie is my hair queen and always makes sure I look flawless leaving. We have gone from blonde to copper to brown and I have not a single regret! She is always honest with what we can do, and ensures I have a cut and color that I can maintain. She's a great listener, and genuinely cares about every client she has. She is one of a kind. I also love that the products are not full of harsh chemicals, and I feel so good leaving! For a massage - Bianca has magic fingers I swear! My massages are the best, and I feel relaxed and also so much better when I leave. Bianca is hysterical too, and always makes me laugh! I love Haven Beauty so much! I found this salon in Boston Mag's Best of Boston edition after spending a good chunk of time away from a salon. Katie Eck worked absolute magic with my awkward postpartum hair issues, and I've been returning for awesome cuts and colors (and conversations!) since. The results of these appointments are always fun and maintainable. I see Victoria for waxing and facials, and I can't express how relaxing these sessions are - she is an absolute pro and so fun to chat with. I have been going to Amy Provencher for three years now, and every time I leave the salon feeling amazing about my hair! She is extremely precise and makes sure to confirm every detail about my hair before beginning! I have recommended her to everyone I know! My mom, who has stubborn curly hair, recently went to Amy and said it was the first time she hasn't wanted to go home and fix her hair after her salon visit. Haven is an amazing salon! The ambience is so peaceful and elevated compared to other salons! I have been going to Emily for three years. I love her attention to both my hair color and cut. I have thick hair which most hair stylists want to thin out. Emily puts in very subtle layers, and has created a nice base color which compliments my complexion. I feel like Emily really listens to what I want with my hair, and won't be shy making recommendations, but honors my vision. My daughters who have curly hair also go to Emily. Emily is the best stylist I have ever been too. I am very picky and will only see salon owners. She has an uncanny ability to make your hair suit you perfectly. I am an older woman with graying hair and she has turned my hair into a style that people literally stop me on the street to ask me where I get my hair done. The fact that she uses organic products in her studio and sells them to take home with you as well, is an added bonus. All the extra added touches to your treatment make this a wonderful experience. Emily is very talented and so are her employees. The salon just won best Boston 2022 which I think speaks for itself. And I love how well she takes care of her staff. I myself am a business owner and I totally understand her cancellation policies. If you don't want to pay for high-quality treatment then go to one of the chains. For years now I have been in the search for a local salons that would appreciate and embrace my curls. I was completely shocked when I learned my hometown has a cute-quaint hair salon that not only embraces curly hair but empowers women to continue their curly at home. I first reached out to the owner via instagram and messaged her about my hair, my concerns and what I was looking for. Emily immediately wore back and we booked a curly hair cut apt. It was the best hair cut of my life. She diffused my hair while I was laid back and really helped me get that volume I was missing. New customer and booked a cut and color. Needed to cancel due to travel and logged onto my profile where it showed "no upcoming appointments", I'd also had a previous appointment canceled due to the stylist being sick so I assumed there was a mistake and both were canceled. Weeks go by and the day of the appointment comes and I am alerted to a charge for $225 for a no-show. I emailed back and forth with owner and she was not reasonable and would not refund my money.
