I would love to give this 5 stars because Mary did an amazing facial; however, my first interaction wasn't five star perfection. I booked my appointment online but did not receive a confirmation email as it states I would. I sent an email asking for confirmation and did not get an email back until I had called two days later to see if I had an appointment. During the phone call, she mumbled something along the lines of "that's weird you booked online". Either way, my appointment had gone through and my facial was great. I would recommend seeing Mary for a facial (she took my skin from suuuuuper dry to hydrated but definitely call to make your appointment. read more

Consultation made me think this was going to be my place for years very thorough and made me relaxed. Unfortunately even after thorough examination and discussions on my skin type an aggressive treatment with a YAG laser that produced huge blisters, swelling and left what my friends and family used to refer to as my smooth porcelain skin now with scars. I went back showing what had happened I was told they stand by their work and the next time I went in they gave a different treatment and then charged me over $300. Last time I checked, that's not standing by your work charging clients to fix something you caused (not that I wouldn't have expected to pay something but discounted). Then told me in order to get rid of the scars I'd have to do microneedling at $400+. Upsell, upsell, upsell. I really wanted to like this place and wanted to spend my money, and I hate the fact I have to leave this review and what the skin I've spent decades taking care of looks like. To some it would seem like just a few scars on my chin, nose and cheek. To me the are deep indentations and some discoloring that weren't there before and shouldn't be there now. It's been months since this happened and I've been spending that time trying to fix that damage and telling myself to leave it alone but I don't want it to happen to anyone else. read more

Pampered and Peeled...had a wonderful experience with the spa. Had a facial and a peel, they are offering a special of 30% off for month of Feb so rec'd both for under $100! Prices are extremely affordable and quality was not sacrificed at all...massage was lengthy and wonderful...calming music, warm blankets, soft hands...it was pure bliss and I felt like a new person. Also had a chemical peel, first one and I notice a difference in my skin already...did not feel any pain, only a slight tingling. It is a very tranquil place and I look forward to many visits. My daughter had a teen facial. She came out with her skin literally glowing. She was also completely relaxed and described it as one of the most luxurious experiences she had ever had. Of course, I didn't tell her that compared to other places, Self is extraordinarily reasonably priced.
